Mallorcan house above Palma with great sea views

With its three levels, Casa del Corb nestles against the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains. The rock runs like a common thread through the rooms, connecting the interior with the exterior.
Time and again, we marvel at the fantastic view of the vast sea and the Bay of Palma that accompanies us in this house. It is a cheerful, sunny home that gives you the space to relax and let your mind wander.

The house was completely renovated in 2014, with a focus on comfort and design. The bungalow spans three levels. On the lower level is the living and dining area with a fireplace, satellite TV, a stereo system with an iPod docking station, free Wi-Fi, and a wide panoramic window overlooking the Bay of Palma.

The kitchen, decorated with handmade Mallorcan tiles, is located on the middle level. It is equipped with a gas stove, grill/microwave, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, and, of course, pots, pans, and spices. On cool days, electric heaters and a fireplace in the living area keep the space warm—a washing machine is also available.
Both bathrooms are also located on this level.
The adjoining bedroom features a comfortable double bed (1.60 m x 2.00 m). Pillows of various sizes and firmness levels are provided. Fans in both bedrooms ensure a cool breeze even in summer.

In front of the second bedroom on the third level is the private terrace. From here, a fantastic view stretches out over the open sea, across the entire Bay of Palma to the southern tip of Mallorca and the offshore island of Cabrera. Deck chairs invite you to sunbathe, and in the evening, the sea of lights in Palma is especially beautiful to enjoy from here with a glass of wine.

The holiday home is situated in a very quiet, exclusively residential area in Genova, a suburb of Palma that has retained its original village character and remains far removed from mass tourism. Genova has everything you need for daily life: a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, banks, bars, and restaurants. Genova is known for its restaurants, which are also popular among the Mallorcans themselves.

Two wonderful coves—which aren’t too crowded in the summer—are just about a 10-minute drive from the house: Cala Comtessa and Playa de Illetas. Both beaches have retained their natural shape and are lapped by clean water even in the summer.
The city centre area of Palma is about a 10-minute drive away and takes about 20 minutes by public bus. It doesn’t take much longer by bike, though… it might just take a little longer going uphill.
