"Stüürmanns Huus" (the Helmsman's House) is a beautiful, new holiday home for 6 people (max. 5 adults) located directly behind the dike at Hilgenriedersiel, right next to the local natural swimming beach. It is tastefully and elegantly furnished in the East Frisian maritime style.

You enter the house from the east and first arrive in the hallway with a coat rack and shoe cabinet. Through the hallway door with an ice-flower pattern, you reach the living area with an open kitchen.
The country-style kitchen alone leaves nothing to be desired: It features a large induction stove with an oven, a microwave, ample counter space, a refrigerator and freezer, a dishwasher, a filter coffee maker and a Nespresso machine, a toaster, a kettle, as well as high-quality sets of dishes, glasses, and cutlery.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area, featuring a modern oak table, an upholstered bench, and four armchairs. The living room is furnished with a large L-shaped leather sofa and a very comfortable upholstered armchair. Here you can spend the evening reading, chatting, or watching the large flat-screen TV for entertainment.
From here, you can step out onto the spacious, furnished, southwest-facing terrace and enjoy the garden, which is landscaped with rhododendrons and newly planted fruit trees. Feel free to use the outdoor fireplace for barbecuing or to warm up by the cosy wood fire during the colder months.
Beneath the enclosed oak staircase leading to the upper floor is the fireplace, which you can heat with wood briquettes available at any hardware store.
On the ground floor of the house, you’ll find one of the three bedrooms, furnished with a double bed, a spacious closet, and a TV. You’ll also find a large, stylishly tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower, a washing machine and dryer, and a full-size, partially glass-enclosed sauna. Finally, the ground floor features a storage room with household appliances, an ash bucket and shovel for the fireplace, and a wine rack…

On the upper floor of the house, you’ll find the other two bedrooms (one with a double bed, built-in closet, and the helmsman’s sea chest; the other with two single beds and a large closet). These bedrooms are also equipped with swivel-mounted flat-screen TVs. A second shower room completes the upper floor. A Trip-Trap chair for children and a baby cot with a mattress are available in the house and can be used free of charge upon request and with advance notice.

Stüürmanns Huus is a non-smoking home. The renter is responsible for the holiday rental and its furnishings and must treat it with care and respect. The renter is liable for any damage to the holiday rental and agrees to report all damage immediately to the Pro-Urlaub office. Parties and events are prohibited. Pets are not allowed.

The house includes one parking space. A wallbox can be used for a fee upon prior registration at the time of booking.

For this house, the minimum stay outside of peak holiday seasons is 5 nights. The house can only be booked for a maximum of 5 adults.

The neighbouring houses are called “Deichglück,” “Nordperle,” “Strandhaus Meeresluft,” “Strandmeerchen,” and “Waikiki,” should you need more space.

You are welcome to add a laundry package as an optional extra. This can be done during the booking process or at any time afterwards for a fee.
