Spacious Family Holiday Rentals in a Former Bakery:
The old bakery is located in the beautiful little village of Eckwarden, right between Burhave and Tossens. Where bread and rolls were once sold—and where the baker’s family lived and worked—you can now enjoy a relaxing North Sea holiday. The house has only two apartments: the Old Bakery and the Master’s Apartment. The apartments are really spacious. They’re uniquely designed, modern, and comfortably furnished with everything you need. Each also features a terrace or a small balcony. The beautifully landscaped garden—which is left entirely to nature in the summer—invites all guests to enjoy an evening barbecue. And the kids can play and run around. However, if you’re looking for perfection on holiday, you might be better off finding another place to stay. Here, it’s truly lovely, a bit modern, and above all, a place to feel at home. 

By the way: Eckwarderhörne has the most beautiful beach in Butjadingen. At high tide, you can wade right into the water and start swimming. There’s real sand. And the mudflats are firm, so you can just walk right across them. There are child-friendly mudflat walks—famous far and wide—beach chairs, ice cream, and more at the restaurant right on the beach. As longtime North Sea holidaymakers, that’s why we chose this most beautiful stretch of coastline for our holiday home.
And across from the historic church in Eckwarden is Kerstin’s Shop. Shopping the relaxed way. Once you’ve been there, there’s no reason to shop in crowded supermarkets anymore. Here, in addition to fresh rolls, you’ll find everything you can imagine—at surprisingly affordable prices.
The house has a small garden with an enchanting path winding through wildflowers and bushes, and plenty of space to play. Starting around 3:00 p.m., the sun shines into the garden until sunset. After a day at the beach or an outing, it’s a welcome place to relax.

"Meisterwohnung" holiday rental:

The holiday rental on the ground floor has a large living room. There are also three large bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with two single beds. A kitchen with a small balcony and a large bathroom are also included. The spacious living room features a cosy, modern sofa area perfect for playing games and watching films in the evening. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking: a fridge-freezer, oven, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, and a cosy dining table. The bathroom with a shower is really nice and spacious. We’re happy to provide an IKEA children’s chair upon request. A truly cosy apartment where you’ll feel right at home.



On-site Costs: Booking and PricesWe have a very simple pricing model. The flat rate always covers the apartment, including final cleaning, etc. We require a security deposit of €100, which will be refunded immediately after the final inspection. Cancellations are free of charge up to 14 days before arrival; after that, the full price is due. You can book your apartment here. Once you’ve stayed with us, you’ll keep coming back.
