Lakewood is a brand new lake house on the quiet public side of Lake Anna, directly across the water from the State Park, and designed to feel like a boutique luxury hotel rather than a rental. 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a covered pavilion at the water's edge, and an interior unlike anything else on the lake. The house sleeps 14 with room to spare.
Two levels, two moods. The main floor is open and light, and the lower level is moody by design.
With a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated office, two living rooms, and a game room, there is room for the whole group to spread out and one table to come back to.

When you do head out, everything is close. Lake Anna State Park sits directly across the water, about four minutes around by road, with its beach, boat launches, and trails. The Anna Point Marina is 5 min away where you can rent boats or launch your own boat. Lakewood is a beautiful home. The decor and furnishing in the house is brand new with lots of luxury! My group had so much fun on the lake. It took a bit of extra paddling to get to a section that was deep enough to swim, but the view from the cove is very serene. Krizia was a great host and was very easy to get in touch with questions and concerns.
Such a beautiful home. The decor is warm and inviting. The layout flows well. I love the mud room for storing bags and shoes during our stay. The home was immaculately clean when we checked in. The bedrooms had comfortable beds and pillows with stylish decor. The screen deck was lovely. The bunk room was stocked with night lights and games. Our children enjoyed the game room including karaoke (so fun!)The outdoor games were a hit as well. The kitchen was well stocked. We made several family dinners. We did not use the dining room or office. The bar room was gorgeous, but most of the time was spent on the main level and porch. The dock had paddle boards and a kayak, which we attempted to use. The water level was below my knees when standing in the water making swimming off the dock impossible. We needed to pick up our rental boat at the marina instead of docking it at the home. Overall it was an amazing family vacation made unforgettable by all the amenities available at this vacation home.
What a beautiful home! Everything is brand new and top-notch. Fully-appointed and beautifully decorated. And the host went out of their way to make our stay special. Can't say enough great things about what a wonderful weekend we had using this lovely property as our home-base for lakefront fun. A for sure!
Krizia, the host, provided excellent and fast communication whenever we needed. Her hospitality, including a basket of goodies on arrival, was so lovely. Made us feel at home the second we arrived. The house itself was gorgeous and new. It was also stocked full of everything that we needed; kitchenware, towels, bathroom supplies, etc. Only thing I’d recommend bringing is some type of water shoe. The lake water was low, so navigating out was difficult unless you used the inflatable kayaks provided (which were awesome and appreciated!!). Would 1 million percent recommend the property for any type of occasion, whether that be a family trip or a quick escape into nature. Thanks for hosting us again Krizia, we hope to be back soon!

About the host
Your host
We are Krizia and Josh. Lakewood is our lake house, built new in the hardwoods on the quiet side of Lake Anna and opened in spring 2026. Krizia is a designer by trade, and the house shows it, every room put together with the same care we would want walking into a place ourselves. We live in Northern Virginia, close enough to look after the house properly, and we host the way we would want to be hosted: everything ready when you arrive, and us a message away the whole time. If anything is not perfect during your stay, we want to know, and we will fix it fast.
Why they chose this property
We looked all around Lake Anna and kept coming back to this side of the water. The public side is the quiet side, wooded lots, still mornings, neighbors who wave. What sold us on this land in particular was the privacy: we have our own cove, tucked away from the boat traffic on the main lake, so the water off the dock stays calm and quiet in a way the busy side never does. And the quiet brings the lake to life. The fishing off the dock is great, turtles sun themselves along the cove, beavers work the shoreline, and a pair of bald eagles lives across the water. We love it, and we never get tired of seeing what shows up. Lake Anna State Park sits directly across the water, about four minutes around by road, so you get the beach, the trails, and the boat launches without staying next to the crowds. And the hardwoods were the finish. Coming up the driveway through the trees still feels like arriving somewhere secret.
What makes this property unique
for groups rather than adapted for one. The house lives like three separate zones, the main level, the Bar Room, and the Game Room downstairs, so fourteen people can share a weekend without tripping over each other. The best of it is outside. A wooded trail runs from the house down to a private covered dock, with a wood-burning fire pit set among the rocks along the way. A kayak and paddle boards wait at the water, a floating dock makes it easy to get in and out of the lake, and if you watch the far shore you can often spot the bald eagles.
