We had a fantastic week. House and boathouse were wonderful, plenty of space, and well appointed. Keith was great to work with. Summer visitors should keep in mind that the lake is warm - like bath water, but the pool is cool and refreshing on hot days.

Lovely Home

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this home. Communication with the owner was great. This home is very beautiful and it is located in a nice area. The neighbors are friendly too. Would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

We had a wonderful time at Tall Oak Cove. The house was spotless when we arrived and the kitchen is well equipped. We rented the sports package from Keith and it was well used on beautiful Lake Anna. The house was large enough for our family of 11. Keith is an outstanding communicator and was so easy to work with. You will not regret renting this property. Keep in mind that the community pool is closed after Labor Day.

This house was amazing! We were 15 people and fit comfortably. The house has everything you can want. The kids loved the movie theater room and the game room. We all enjoyed the screened in porch. The boathouse was our favorite place to be! Keith was amazing. He answered all our questions leading up to and during the trip. This house is a 10 out of 10.

Great family week with swimming, paddle-boarding & golf

We loved staying here as it was very clean, very well stocked, with great location for kids to play with the beach, very shallow water, boathouse and game-room. We actually had everyone saying they enjoyed it, amazing. We've stayed at many houses from OBX to Ocean City and this was the most complete and most enjoyable.

Beautiful property - perfect spot for relaxing on the covered dock and catching up with a big group of friends. The covered deck was also lovely. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. There was enough fridge space and the indoor space fit our group of 9 adults comfortably. The views of the lake were really special! Guests should be aware that they either need to bring their own towels or pay an extra fee (for dish, hand, bath towels) and you need to bring your own toilet paper, as well as paper towels, soap for the shower, etc. you also need to pay extra to use the kayaks/paddleboards. This may all be standard for the region, but it was new for me.

Best house ever

We have been renting at the lake for many years and this is by far the best equipped and well laid out house and dock that we have ever had. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Will be back again.

Perfect for large family

This home was perfect for our extended family. The bunk rooms were wonderful for the grandkids. The lake was very warm, but it didn't really bother anyone. Loved it!

A beautiful house and a spectacular location! We had everything we needed and more! The kitchen was impressively stocked. There was so much for the kids to do! TV room was awesome! The lake and boathouse were where we spent most of our time. Keith was very responsive and a great host! This was the best vacation our family has taken!

Beautiful lake front property!

We stayed at this beautiful lake front home with three families and loved it! So much for the kids to do, including games, a movie room, a ping pong table and much more. There is a sloped entrance to the lake which was perfect for the younger kids to wade in. The house was very spacious with modern upgrades. Owner was extremely helpful and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!!

The property has upgraded amenities and is well maintained. Keith communicated with me frequently to ensure everything was going well. He has a book made up with a wealth of information on the house and local area which we found extremely useful. Everyone enjoyed our stay and we will be coming back.

This house is a gem!

This was the first time my family has gathered in a neutral spot and the location couldn't have been better. The house was perfect for our extended family (8 adults/8 kids), and the owners were very accommodating. The bedrooms were great, the game room was well-stocked and fantastic for the kids, the boat house was beautiful, and everything was in perfect condition. The kitchen was fully stocked, even for a Thanksgiving meal, and there is seating, both indoors (upstairs and down) and on a screened porch, to accommodate large groups. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, a mix of older and new houses, and there were plenty of good places to go for a run or a walk without needing to cross any busy streets. Although we were there over Thanksgiving, the water was actually warm enough to swim a little. As for the area, there is a full grocery store a few minutes away, which is also very close to the refuse center. We didn’t feel the need to explore the region much over a 4-day stay since there was plenty to do in and around the house. There did look to be some tennis courts and a community pool that might be open in the summer (but who needs that with the lake out the back door??). This house is a gem. Thanks for letting us call it home for a few days!

Better Than Expected

The place is place was better than we expected. The pictures on the posting are accurate. The host is very gracious and communicative. We rented this house with two other families; 10 people total (4 adults and 6 kids). This place was PERFECT. The original plan was to enjoy a weekend on the water, but it rained ALL day on Saturday, leaving us couped up in the house with 6 kids age 10 - 16. Fortunately there were so many games and activities for the kids, that they rarely interacted with us. On Sunday, the kids spent the day on the dock, fishing and swimming. The kitchen had a wide range of appliances/gadgets so we felt like we were at home. Appliances/gadgets such as waffle iron, large pots, mixing bowls, etc. The house is very spacious, with 10 people. We never felt like we were on top of each other. One evening the 6 adults sat upstairs and all sat on the couch comfortably to watch a movie (while the kids were downstairs in the movie room:). The grocery store is about an 8 minute drive from the house, as well as a liquor store and nail salon. On the way to the grocery store you do pass a Dollar General. We would definitely rent this property again.

Glorious Memorial Day Weekend!

Absolutely beautiful home with everything you could want for a weekend getaway with the family! We had a group of 11 adults, 1 teen, and 2 young children. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need cooking for a large group. The location is conveniently located just 10 minutes from a small shopping center with a Food Lion, ABC Store, Big Cheese Pizza (surprisingly tasty), and a Subway and Chinese restaurant. Keith was a great host and made sure I had all the pertinent information prior to our arrival, and checked in the first day to make sure we were good. He also went above and beyond to return an item that was accidentally left behind by one of our family members since it was not discovered until we were already back home. We had off and on rain all weekend but had a blast fishing and hanging out at the dock when we could, as well as kayaking and canoeing (which is an extra fee to rent, but disclosed as such). The house had plenty of activities to keep the family busy during the rainy periods and evenings. The basement is full of good old fashioned fun—small pool table, ping pong, basketball game, foosball, board games, video games, as well as an amazing theater room that I regretted we didn’t take advantage of until our last night there. But that was because the layout of the main level family room and kitchen is so nice and open with room for everyone that we mostly hung out there together after dinner. Book it, you won’t regret it!

Great for extended family gatherings

My family spent a week at Tall Oaks Cove with our extended family, 14 of us all together. The house was in good order and very clean when we arrived. The layout was perfect for our mix of three adult couples and a slew of kids. Our kids enjoyed bunking with their cousins on the lower level. The kitchen is very well stocked. We prepared a lot of meals and only wanted for a decent skillet. The house has enough bathrooms to accommodate a lot of people. Water pressure sometimes dropped when demand was high, but it was a minor inconvenience. Overall, we were very satisfied with the house. I do recommend the towel service. It is very convenient for the price and the linens were good quality. We took advantage of the dock for boating, fishing, and swimming. The water sports package is a bit pricey, but it was really nice to be able to kayak and paddle board around the cove. Lots of wildlife to observe, especially birds. We spotted eagles and osprey several times each day. We rented a pontoon boat for a few days. If you aren't aware, there are no marinas that offer boat rentals on the private side of the lake. Keith clued us in to Boatsetter where I located a private rental from a local homeowner. Pickup and drop off was from the boat owner's dock. We docked overnight at the Tall Oaks Cove boathouse. This made possible early morning and late evening fishing excursions, as well as midday tubing and evening cruising. Overall great vacation spot for larger groups.

Great Family Vacation

Beautiful home with wonderful views of the lake. Great location for kids to swim, kayak and tube. Basement had plenty of games for the grand children. They loved the movie room. Great screened in porch with great views of the water.

Perfect multi family vacation

We do a large family vacation every year and this was by far our favorite house and spot out of the last 6 years. The house is amazing with plenty of space to not feel onto of each other but also great for gathering. We can’t wait to go back! Only down side was the water temperature was more like bath water and not very refreshing but we still had a blas!

The best vacation ever!

Tall Oaks Cove is all that is advertised and more. This home was immaculate upon arrival, everything was top of the line and there was not one thing you would need that was not provided. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was perfect. Our favorite room in the house was the large screened in porch, that was our hang out after kids were asleep. The kids loved the game room which also had every activity our kids needed. The media room was a big hit we did Encanto movie night! The boat house was the daytime place to be, the dock perfect for fishing and it provided shade for the babies as well. The beach was the choice for the little kids with its soft sand and easy access to walk in the lake. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property, the owner, Keith, was so helpful with any information you needed about the surrounding area and was super responsive to any question. Our family had the best vacation ever and we will be back !

Lake life is the best life

We had such a great time kicking off summer at Tall Oaks Cove with our children and their friends. The house was perfectly laid out with so many amenities - everyone was happy. When booking, I had read reviews on the boathouse and how so many enjoyed that amenity. They were spot on, as we spent our days lounging at the boathouse. We will certainly be back to enjoy this property again, as the owner made our experience top notch.

Lake Anna is so beautiful and we have appreciated the balance of a wonderful lake experience without having to travel for half a day to get there. We love the private/warm side of the lake as there is far less traffic than the public/cold side. We found the perfect lot that has privacy and incredible views. The private cove, gentle slope of the land and beautiful surroundings continue to amaze us. Hopefully you will feel the same way.
