A Private Waterfront Retreat on Peaceful Long Pond
Escape to the quiet side of New Hampshire at The Cottage at Long Pond—a remarkably private, four-season waterfront retreat surrounded by clear water, mountain views, towering pines, and abundant wildlife.
Long Pond is a lightly used, crystal-clear lake where peaceful mornings and uncrowded days are the norm. Watch loons glide across the water, bald eagles soar overhead, and blue herons fish along the shoreline. Fishing is excellent, and the quiet setting makes it easy to reconnect with nature—and with each other.
Set on three-quarters of an acre with approximately 385 feet of direct waterfront, the cottage offers several outdoor spaces designed for enjoying the setting. Relax on the multilevel deck, with both sunny and comfortably shaded areas, or head to the observation deck for beautiful views toward Silver Mountain. A private dock provides direct access to the lake, and guests may explore the water using our kayaks and canoe.
During the warmer season, unwind in the outdoor hot tub, rinse off beneath the open sky in the outdoor shower, or prepare dinner on the gas grill before settling in for a peaceful evening by the water.
Inside, the cottage is comfortable, inviting, and well equipped for up to four guests. Two bedrooms, each furnished with a queen bed, provide a restful place to recharge. The home also features one full bathroom and en suite half bathroom for the primary bedroom. Heating via propane-fired hot air or woodstove for year-round comfort, reliable internet, and an OLED flat-screen television for movie nights or rainy afternoons.
This is not a crowded resort or a busy vacation development. It is an authentic New Hampshire lake retreat where you can paddle across calm water, fish from the dock, listen to the loons, watch the sunset, and enjoy the rare luxury of genuine peace and privacy.
Come experience clear water, granite shores, quiet mornings, and the natural beauty of Long Pond.

Why they chose this property
We chose our Long Pond property for its exceptional privacy, natural beauty, and peaceful setting. The home sits along 385 feet of waterfront on Long Pond, a pristine 122-acre oligotrophic lake. Its westerly view stretches across unspoiled forest toward Silver Mountain, creating spectacular sunsets throughout the year. The cottage has been in Lizzy's family for over 30 years
What makes this property unique
Loons, great blue herons, and bald eagles are often seen more frequently than people, especially during the week and outside the peak summer season. Guests can stargaze from the 500-gallon octagonal hot tub, paddle the lake in one of our kayaks or canoe, fish along the shoreline, or simply relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of the water and surrounding forest.
