About this property

Pineheaven Couples Cabin

Welcome to Pinehaven at Storybrook Forest, a cozy little cabin tucked beside the pines and made for guests who want to trade noise and crowds for quiet mornings, sunset evenings, and a little breathing room.

Pinehaven is currently an ADULTS-ONLY, pet-friendly stay unless your group has reserved the entire Storybrook Forest Adventure Center. This particular listing is for Pinehaven only and is intended for adults 18 and older.

Our peaceful Pinehaven cabin is a 12 x 24 tiny cabin was created with individuals and couples in mind. Inside, you’ll find a mini kitchen and a warm, simple space to settle in after a day of exploring. Outside, the large wraparound deck gives you a front-row seat to the sunsets, with two lounging chairs ready for slow evenings and morning coffee. Just a few steps away down the ridge is your own secluded hot tub with a beautiful view on top of the ridge.

The deck also gives you a discreet, secure-feeling place to tuck away bikes and kayaks, and a garden hose and water spigot for your use.

Good news! Pinehaven is exactly what you are looking for! You will have its own private soaking space. So if a secluded hot tub under the trees sounds like your kind of evening, what are you waiting for?🌲

And if you’re wondering why it’s called Storybrook Forest…

You’re staying here while the story is still being written.

We recently purchased this property with plans to slowly transform it into a whimsical woodland destination. In the future, Storybrook Forest will include a collection of hobbit-home-inspired Storykeeper Cottages, each with its own name, personality, and piece of a larger story.

Guests will eventually be able to follow clues, solve little quests, and uncover the mystery of the huckleberries that once grew along the ridge and somehow disappeared. Those who make their way through the full Storykeeper Cottage adventure will eventually uncover the hidden…

Pinehaven is one of the early chapters.

For now, it’s simply a peaceful cabin beneath the pines where you can rest, explore, watch the sun drop behind the ridge, and enjoy Storybrook before the whole village grows up around it.

Bringing a larger group?

Storybrook Forest also includes Sunset Hollow, Storybrook Lodge, four RV sites, a stage, and the surrounding property. When reserved together through our Storybrook Forest Adventure Center listing, the property can host groups of 20+ and becomes a great option for friends, families, reunions, celebrations, and micro weddings.

When the entire property is reserved, Pinehaven’s exterior bathroom door also becomes a separate entrance for friends or family using the tent and RV areas. A locking pass-through door between the bathroom and living space allows Pinehaven guests to keep their cabin private.

Your reservation includes access to Pinehaven’s living area, wraparound deck, and the front, back, and side yard areas immediately surrounding the cabin.

For the privacy and comfort of everyone staying at Storybrook Forest, unauthorized guests are not permitted on the property. Please also let us know ahead of time if you will be arriving with more than one vehicle.

Come stay beneath the pines while Storybrook Forest is still becoming Storybrook Forest.

About the host

Hi! We’re Tia and Doug, a family from southeast Kansas who love the outdoors, creating things, and gathering with the people we love.

Storybrook Forest is where those passions meet—a little woodland retreat shaped by family, imagination, and plenty of time spent making memories. We’re creating a place where families can reconnect, couples can slow down, and every guest can enjoy a peaceful pause among the trees.

I love adding thoughtful details and a touch of storybook charm. Doug brings those ideas to life, even if he occasionally wonders what new project I’ll dream up next!

As hosts, we want you to feel welcome, comfortable, and right at home. Whether you’re here for a river adventure, a family gathering, or a quiet weekend away, we’re grateful to play a small part in your story and likewise in ours.

Why they chose this property

We had been praying for God to guide our path and show us what was next for our family. When we found this property in Pineville, we felt it was an answer to those prayers—a place where our love for family, the outdoors, and creating something meaningful could come together.

We love the wooded setting, the sunsets, and being close to the rivers and Huckleberry Ridge Conservation Area. There’s room to breathe, explore, and spend time together, with the convenience of town just a short drive away.

Our hope for Storybrook Forest is to share that peace with others. Whether you’re spending the day on the river or enjoying a quiet evening under the trees, we want this to be a place where you can slow down and make memories with the people you love.
