Overall the house was very charming and an easy location to check out things in the area. We enjoyed both Spanky’s and Treehouse Cafe down the road for breakfast spots. Cons:The kitchen was not “fully equipped”. At other VRBOs I’ve stayed at, I was able to bring food and have enough supplies to cook. This kitchen has minimal equipment - a couple of nonstick pans and a pot and mostly metal utensils to use. I wished they had a strainer or some better spatula options that won’t scratch their pans. They also did not have any spices in the cabinets. The kitchen had two coffee pots, however when I opened the classic drip maker I found a very moldy filter that had been left, so was unable to use that. There were only two decorative towels on the stove, leaving us to use paper towels to dry anything we washed or cleaned. Overall the kitchen felt very dirty and not taken care of. The towels provided for bathing still had paper tags on them indicating they had not been washed prior to leaving out, and did not have any wash cloths. The floors and rugs were absolutely filthy. They left both of my kids feet black after running around. I’d recommend wearing socks or house shoes indoorsAll of the outdoor furniture was dirty. If knowing guests are coming, a quick shake or leaf blower to get debris off would have been appreciated. And more towels so I could wipe down the tables for use.
