Disappointing

Montalcino was lovely but the property and all the bed linen and towels stank of cigarette smoke. So much so that we cut our stay short. The property was accessed via very steep and extremely narrow streets. This was not mentioned before. If you had a big car you would definitely not make it! The property also felt damp.

We are sorry to learn that the property smelled of cigarette smoke and that this caused you great inconvenience and shortened your stay. Since taking ownership of the property, the host has painted several times and replaced the furnishings, bed linen, and towels, which are stored in a new cupboard, to try to eradicate the smell. We take cleanliness very seriously, and the property has been aired. Regarding the narrow and steep streets, we understand this can be challenging and will make sure to update our listing to better inform future guests.
