The 5-star Strönwai vacation suite is located in the historic Klenterhof, one of the most beautiful and traditional captains’ houses on Sylt. The historic, listed property, dating back to 1792, is situated in a prime yet quiet location in Alt-Westerland—just a few minutes’ walk from the train station, downtown, and the beach.
Nestled within a lovingly landscaped, approximately 3,000 m² farm garden, the Klenterhof offers an exclusive vacation retreat with plenty of privacy. The park-like garden, featuring a Frisian earthen embankment, a swing, a sandbox, and a stylish sauna house with a Finnish sauna and steam room, is available to all five spacious sections of the property. For guests arriving by car, there is a private parking space next to the access road.
The Strönwai Suite is located in the left wing of the over 200-year-old barn and captivates with its successful blend of historic architecture and modern luxury. A private southwest-facing terrace with high-quality teak furniture invites you to enjoy relaxing hours in the sun.
On the upper floor, two elegant bedrooms with double beds await you, each with an en-suite bathroom. A special highlight is the bedroom with a freestanding bathtub and a breathtaking view of Westerland through the former barn door. The second bathroom is separated from the sleeping area by stylish wood paneling with windows. In the attic, there is an additional bedroom (with some limitations) featuring a double bed.
The spacious living and dining area (approx. 50 m²) on the upper floor is the heart of the house. A large round oak table, cozy linen sofas, and a stylish tiled stove create a warm, cozy atmosphere. The open, high-quality Siemens kitchen in elegant black is fully equipped—including an American-style side-by-side refrigerator with an ice maker and a Nespresso machine.
An additional shower room on the first floor rounds out the high level of living comfort. The Strönwai Suite embodies stylish luxury, Nordic elegance, and absolute coziness—ideal for discerning Sylt enthusiasts. The Klenterhof is situated in an extraordinary, approximately 3,000 m² farm garden, surrounded by a traditional Frisian earthen wall—a true rarity on Sylt. Despite its quiet, secluded location, the train station and Westerland’s downtown area are just about 300 meters away and easily accessible on foot.
Westerland Beach is only about 900 meters away. Shopping, restaurants, cafés, and the beach are thus within easy reach without having to sacrifice peace and privacy.
Each unit comes with its own parking space on the property as well as a bike rack. The garden also features a shared sauna house, a swing, and a sandbox—ideal for families, too.

House Rules/Pricing Info:
All accommodation prices are based on a maximum of 2 people.
Each additional person (ages 4 and up) is charged €23 per night.
Plus a one-time fee: €300 for final cleaning and €25 for the booking fee.

- Please schedule arrival and departure days for Saturday, Sunday, Friday, or Thursday, subject to the occupancy schedule and availability. Other arrival days upon request.
- Plus tourist tax (ages 18 and up): €4.10 per person per day from May 1 to October 31, or €2.05 per person per day from January 1 to April 30.
The tourist tax is payable at the time of booking and will be forwarded by us to the tourist office.
- On holidays and during school breaks, the minimum stay is 7 nights.

Additional services available upon request and bookable directly with the property owner for a separate fee:
- Dog allowed (max. 1): €15.00 per night
- Small linen package: €23.00 per person
