Beautiful beach home on the Jersey Shore

Indulge yourself with a fun filled vacation in an upscale Jersey Shore community of prestigious homes located directly on the beach. Walk across the dunes behind your home to set up your spot on the private, life guard protected Maryland Beach on the southern edge of Point Pleasant Beach and just 2 houses away from the northern edge of the distinguished town of Bay Head. Later, you can take a short ride or walk to the north side of town to enjoy the rides, games, and amusements of the famous Jenkinson's Boardwalk. Later, take a ride into the quaint town of Point Pleasant to indulge in the delicious homemade ice cream at Hoffman's while you window shop your way through town.
If you want to venture beyond your secluded community for a day, you could take a short walk to the Bay Head Station where you could catch a train to Penn Station in the heart of NYC, where the city never sleeps. Or, take a 30 minute drive to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey where you can take a ride through the largest drive thru Safari outside of Africa before entering the park filled with breathtaking shows and more than a dozen roller coasters, including the tallest in the world, the infamous Kingda Ka! There you can also find Hurricane Harbor, one of the largest water parks on the East Coast.
Daily fishing charters are also available at the Point Pleasant Inlet, or just take a stroll over the dune to try your luck at surf fishing, or actual surfing before or after the beach crowd arrives. Great Beach House!

Wonderful Stay

We had a great stay! The house was spacious and clean with updated floors and furniture. Beautiful view of the ocean from every window and just steps from the beach. This was our second year renting this house and we can’t wait to do it again next year.

Great shore home

We had a fantastic time in Sherrie's beautiful home -- with a private walkway to the beach. The house has all conveniences. We greatly enjoyed our time there!

Amazing house, amazing location

We LOVED our stay at the property. The location is steps to a private beach and a short walk to a really tranquil lake. The listing clearly states no towel/bedding provided, so we came prepared. The living area furniture is new, with plenty of seating for all of us. It’s a short walk to restaurants, and we will most definitely be coming back!

Fantastic Location!

We had a large family group - sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, 3 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone, with a great open living space on the top floor with ocean views. Walk out to the beach, just a mile to Jenkinson's boardwalk, 1/2 mile to Mueller's Bakery in Bay Head, take-out pizza across the street. Remember to bring sheets/pillowcases, towels, toilet paper, paper towels. Highly recommended if you have a big family group!

After Wedding Party

This house was awesome. We rented the house the day after our wedding and was everything we could have asked for. We told around 100 people from our wedding to come to the house and treat it like a beach day. Bring your chair and towel. We basically had our private beach in the backyard. At night we were able to have a camp fire to cap it off. We liked it so much many of us talked about renting the house as a yearly event.

Location! Location! Location!

As others have stated, the pictures do not do this place justice. It is much nicer and updated than the pictures show. Also, there is only one set of bunkbeds, the other bed is a queen, which worked out perfect for us. Host, Sherrie, is amazing. She answered almost every question I had within a couple of hours. She is extremely helpful. The balcony is spectacular, and we were on the beach in less than a minute.

A+ location, great common spaces, perfect for lots of family

I agree with the many reviews that say the pictures don't do this house justice. The location is phenomenal - quick walk over the dune to the beach. The views are gorgeous. The kitchen is excellent and has lots of seating. The living area is perfect for a big group. As others have said, don't forget your towels and sheets. The bedrooms are small but perfectly nice. Some of the mattresses are better than others. We had a big age range and brought lots of sound machines as noise travels through the walls easily. Sherrie responded to every question quickly and was super helpful. We're hoping to come back!

Not Worth the Money - Mold, Dirty Laundry, Broken Glass, No Hot Water

Sherrie's home is very beautiful, and she was extremely responsive to all questions and concerns both before and during our stay. That being said, we encountered a host of issues upon arrival and throughout our stay that I feel outweighed the location/space considering the price of this rental. We had the following issues: 1) pilot light was out on the hot water heater, we spent much of our first evening without hot water and on the phone/FaceTime with a repairman 2) extremely moldy dishware, dishes and glasses left in the dishwasher and sink 3) dirty laundry including towels and sheets from past renters piled on top of the laundry units 4) stove's electric ignitors would not stop clicking even in off setting 5) 2 broken toilet seats 6) downstairs shower pulley was stuck between shower and tub setting and unusable for showering purposes as the water pressure was null 7) broken glass along side of house directly next to patio and stairs to the front door 8) mold in both downstairs bathrooms along ceiling and crusted outside of both vents. Many of the issues we encountered were cleaning related, which was concerning in light of COVID-19. Myself and family received COVID tests and quarantined prior to gathering for this rental, out of respect for one another but also for Sherrie's home and cleaning staff who would be entering shortly to sanitize after our stay. To have to clean upon arrival, handle moldy dishware, dirty laundry and not have hot water to truly deep clean spaces that had clearly not been touched by a cleaning service was extremely disappointing. There are plenty of beautiful homes in this area for rent, many are more reasonably priced - don't rent here.

Overpriced for what you are provided!

We rented this house for the July 4th week and paying $11K+ we expected more than what was provided. Firstly, the A/C when we arrived was broken. My father was on the roof with the repairman helping fix the issue in order to not have a day or two without A/C (we had three kids under the age of 3!). Secondly, a day before we arrived the owner contacts me that the dishwasher is broken and that it won't be fixed for our stay (basically implying its our issue to bear). With a house of 9+ guests this was needless to say an inconvenience. Thirdly, we arrive and there are NO sheets on the bed or bath towels. The photos in the listing actually show sheets but this is deceiving! When contacting the owner before we arrived (continuously asking questions) this was never mentioned nor is this stated on the website. We had to go to Walmart and pay for linens to make each bed. When we chatted with the owner about this all she mentioned was that we should've known and that she lists this on the details page (checked 3 times and no mention of this at all and even took screenshots!). Lastly, when we were leaving, the alarm system (without a trigger) went off for an hour and a half! Through all of this, my family was in contact with the owner about our dissatisfaction with how this house was maintained especially at its price point. The owner assured us that our inconveniences would be factored into our deposit back. Upon receiving the deposit, the amount the owner provided for our troubles was none other than insulting.

Great Stay

We had an amazing stay at the house. It was perfect for mixed friends and family, enough space for everyone to be together but have their own space. The only downfall was there was not much to offer on the boardwalks in the off-season. The guys had a great time surf fishing. Great location too. In my opinion for future renters, The pictures need to be updated to show the true space/character of the home.

A great beach house

We had a wonderful time. The house was comfortable and simply furnished, the kitchen well stocked, and the common living/dining/kitchen area was spacious and great for our large crowd of 15-17 people. We were there for a family celebration of my moms 90th birthday, and there was plenty of space. The only caveat is that the upstairs bedroom is quite small—no room for a wheelchair. There’s a wonderful view of the ocean from the deck and quick private beach access. The lifeguard station is right in front of the house! Some of the kitchen gadgets, such as the toaster, could stand to be replaced, and the knives are not super sharp, but otherwise things were in good working order. The host, Sherrie, was nice and responded to our questions promptly. Highly recommend this house. We had a great time and would come back if we ever have a similar celebration in the future.

Home Run Vacation

We had 4 families of 4 staying at this location. Cannot ask for a better spot away from all the bustle of the boardwalk. Quiet & perfect beach vacation location with simply spectacular views of the ocean. Everyone in our group loved it! You will too!

Can't beat location

Based on location, the house is a 5+. The top living floor has a gorgeous view of ocean wherever you are standing! The owner, Sherrie, is also very attentive and very nice. There are a few reasons I did not give the property a total 5 rating. The house needs some maintenance. If you read earlier reviews, the same issues are still there: stove ignitor malfunctions, (it happens again, even when manager cleans/fixes) doorknobs don't work properly, there is a broken ice maker in the island (which would have been great to have since the town was out of ice). A couple of the bedrooms are very small, and a few of the beds have terrible mattresses (the last room on right with twin beds). If you have children with you, this probably wouldn't matter. However, we were a group of adults and those twin beds were so uncomfortable for me and my friend. We don't normally complain so it really was bad. To sum up: awesome location but house needs attention and, at a such a high rent rate, some inclusions of household items and niceties should be added.

House was hard to find. Bedrooms were tight and the silverware and utensils draws were very dirty. However, it was a beautiful beach with easy access. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. beds comfortable.

The main bedroom upstairs was tiny. No beach chairs available for a beach house. Great location. We had a ball!

Fantastic House and Location

We finally found the perfect house for a family vacation (15 of us). The top floor where the kitchen, dining room, living room and deck was ideal!. views of the ocean from all rooms. Plenty of bedrooms for children and parents. easy walk to the beach. Loved it so much we are going back in 2023

60th Birthday Bash

This is a beautiful home in a stunning location. Perfect house for my 60th birthday party celebrated with my husband, children, siblings, nieces and nephews. Plenty of space, great kitchen island and you can’t beat the view upstairs. It needs a bit more love and care. Also, there is some black mold in the bathrooms. Overall we were very satisfied and would return!
