Mevagissey: Large, historical house. In the resort Mevagissey, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, 600 m from the sea, 600 m from the beach. Public car park at 400 m, extra. Shop, grocery 500 m, supermarket 5 km, restaurant, bar 300 m, bakery 600 m, café 300 m, pub garden 650 m, bus stop 500 m, railway station "St Austell" 5 km, ferry "Fowey Ferry" 600 m, sandy beach 500 m. Golf course (18 hole) 5 km, tennis, sports centre 600 m, walking paths from the house 50 m, fishing possibilities 300 m. Nearby attractions: The lost gardens of Heligan 3 km, The Eden Project 15 km, Charlestown Historic Harbour 8 km, Bodmin Moors and Heritage 23 km, Polperro historic harbour 13 km. Hiking paths: South West Coast Path 50 m. Please note: baby equipment on request.
"Tregony House", 5-room house on 4 levels. Spacious and bright, practical furnishings: large entrance hall with separate WC. Large living/dining room with digital TV and electric heating. Kitchen (oven, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, microwave, freezer, grill, electric coffee machine) with dining table. Upper floor: with 1 double bed, digital TV and electric heating. Shower/WC. 2nd upper floor: 1 double bedroom with 2 beds, shower/WC, digital TV and electric heating. 1 double bedroom with 1 double bed and electric heating. Shower/WC. 3nd upper floor: 1 double bedroom with 1 bed, 1 double bed and electric heating. Shower/WC. Facilities: Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: maximum 3 pets/ dogs allowed. Smoke alarm. All bedrooms have ensuite showers.

I cannot recommend this property . Two of the bedrooms bedlinen were covered in hairs ( we think pet hair) The property was very grubby . Cupboards in bedroom dusty .lots of ants in the kitchen . It needs information about the hill to the property & vicinity of car park . Loved Mevagissey but would not use this property again .

Great characterful house in central village location within a couple of minutes walkt to harbour, pub, food, fudge shop, fish & chips, etc. House is large and spacious over 4 floors but don't expect modern, clean lines and materials! This is definitely a "lived in", old property with quirks. We are not overly fussy, but a deep clean wouldn't go amiss. Pets are welcome at the property so this will obviously affect it in this area. We had a couple of bed, shower and drain smell issues which were reported to the agent and are hopefully now being addressed. This would not however put us off going back as the overall experience was great. Genuinely don't think you could beat location for access to everything. No parking on site, but the main car park is a 5 minute walk and prices are good. We paid a total of 20 for 4 days and nights comings and goings. Speak to the guys in the hut who are very helpful and friendly.
