We had a great time last week at Dolphin cottage, the house was great and an amazing location for the kids to head to the beach and play outside - we'll be back! Emma was great throughout the booking / arrival process, thank you!

We were looking for a cottage that allowed two couples space and amenities as well as being close to pubs and restaurants. Dolphin Cottage was everything we had set out to find. Plenty of room for us all and plenty to do in Charlestown so we could all have a drink or two out. The pubs and restaurants in Charlestown are all excellent. We travelled by car mainly but also took the train from St Austell to St Ives which was a very easy day trip. We were also able to walk a small part of the coastal footpath with some amazing views. I would highly recommend Dolphin cottage and also the associated cottages in Charlestown. Thank you Emma for making our stay a very memorable one.

Had a fantastic stay at Dolphine Cottage. The house itself was very high standard and we had a great time. The host were really helpful and friendly, Charlestown it self is a beautiful place.

Very nice property, plenty of space for 6 guests, nice upstairs snug and fab conservatory.Fully equipped for 6 people. However, the dishwasher is a slimline 4 setting machine, which is not sufficient for 6 guests when cooking in the property, making it neccesary to run the machine several times for a single dinner. There were no cleaning products left for us to use for the week (diswasher tabs, laundry tabs & black bin bags). We didn't expect to have to buy a supply of these things after paying 1700 for a week. Also the farm is along a private road, which has a terrible potholed surface. So in summary, although the property is lovely, there are a few things that could be done to improve the comfort of a stay, with a little thought.

Thank you Jason for taking the time to leave your review. We are really pleased to hear that you found the property lovely, spacious and well equipped, and particularly enjoyed the upstairs snug and conservatory. We do apologise that the usual supply of cleaning essentials had not been left for your stay. These are normally provided for our guests, so I am sorry this was overlooked on this occasion. I will be speaking with our housekeepers to ensure these items are checked and replenished between stays. With regard to the dishwasher, this is the first time we have received feedback that its size has been an issue. Due to the layout and limited space within the kitchen, a slimline dishwasher was chosen so that we could provide a dishwasher whilst retaining as much useful cupboard and storage space as possible. Unfortunately, the condition of the private access road is outside of our control, although we do appreciate that some areas of the surface can be uneven. Thank you again for your feedback, and we are pleased that overall you enjoyed the property and your stay.

I highly recommended this beautiful cottage. Its a unique old building which has been sympathetically modernised to a high standard. There is plenty of parking which is a rarity in Charlestown and it is set in beautiful, well maintained gardens. This hidden gem in the heart of Charlestown is only a stones throw from the historic harbour, beach, cliff walks and numerous restaurants, bars and cafes. Contact with the host was excellent.

Wonderful Charlestown

Our stay in Dolphin cottage was blessed with wonderful weather so we were able to take advantage of the lovely outside gardens and great location of the cottage. It is surrounded by grassy areas , some communal but Dolphin had significant private gardens as well. The cottage location was a 2 minute stroll from the centre of Charlestown and all its lovely shops, restaurants and bars. Inside the cottage is well presented and spacious. Kitchen area is in a wonderful rotunda style room and though small has everything you need. Only a small sitting area but then a huge conservatory with a dining table and seats was a great asset. It was too hot in the daytime but evenings were lovely in there. Bedrooms were snug and nicely furnished with very comfy beds. The en-suite in the double room was not ideal. Very hot and musty smell and very tight for space. The main bathroom was better but again was always very hot and steamy with an inadequate extractor. Otherwise we were delighted with this property and would recommend
