A fantastic option if you’re staying in South Tahoe! The property is nested in a peaceful neighborhood 10min away from Heavenly and has an enormous fenced backyard that is great for kids and families with dogs. The host was welcoming and responsive throughout the entire booking process. The interior was clean, organized, and well-stocked with everything you’d need for a weekend getaway. The in-unit washer and dryer was extremely handy for the snowy weather. This will forever be bookmarked and top of mind for my next trip to Lake Tahoe. The kids did not want to leave!
Plenty of space in the house and well stocked with essentials. Loved how close the trailhead was to the house (less than 5 minute walk) and the fenced backyard was great for the dogs. Direct communication with the property owner was great and they are very responsive and helpful. We would stay there again for sure.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a great review. Much appreciated, also thanks for booking our So. Lake Tahoe VR and hope you will stay with us again.
Really loved the location of this house and the understanding and helpfulness of the host. It's a great little hideaway while still close to Stateline. Would stay again.
Stayed at this property with 5 other girls and it was perfect! It is bigger than we expected and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and the house met all your expectations and more. Thanks for taking the time to write a great review. Hope to host you and you're friends again soon.
Myself and a few friends stayed here to run the Rock Tahoe Half Marathon and it was a perfect spot. Close enough to all the sights to enjoy them but also set back in a neighbourhood to enjoy the peace of the forest. Everything about the house was as described and we had an excellent time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway in the South Tahoe area.

A great review is always appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to write it. Hope you can stay at our place again on your next trip to So Lake Tahoe.
Stayed over the weekend for a small family vacation. Owners are very friendly gavw us information regarding the storm, it was our first time in Tahoe. We didn’t know much but the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would rent this place again.
Great amenities, stocked kitchen. Loved that the backyard was fully fenced with no weak boards for the dogs to run around. My only suggestion is to switch the bedding to cotton sheets vs. polyester. Everything was pretty clean, I would stay again. Had two adults, two kids and two dogs and it was plenty of room. The trails right around the house are awesome and leads down the Upper Truckee River.
We found the house comfortable, and really convenient to all of South Lake. In addition there are a bunch of great trails just around the corner that loop back to the track the house is in. The bedrooms are very spacious, with a king size bed downstairs, and the two bedrooms upstairs have multiple beds, so great for family with children. The owners instructions were very thorough. . We’d like to come and stay again!

Appreciate the very nice review. Thanks for taking the time to write it.
The house was very spacious and updated. Everything was really clean.. the kitchen was well-equipped . The hot-tub was great. The beds were comfortable and there were a lot of beds. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. The large fenced-in back yard was fun for our kids. I would recommend staying at this property!
We had a nice time and the home was clean and spacious. It would be nice if you could adjust the hot tub temperature as it did not stay very hot for long, and you could not really control any of the jets. Everything else was pleasant and we had good communication with the host.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed staying at the house. Regarding the hot tub, the temperature is set to 103 in the winter and 102 in the summer which is a little higher than standard. In the winter it feels cooler because it is cold outside. The heater will automatically go back on when it gets down to 101 but hard to keep up if a cold winter night. There is a button to run the jets, but hard to see at night. If you had a problem you could have called us, our numbers are posted several places. Thanks for staying at our place, we appreciate your business.
The cabin comfortably fit my family of four, parents, and brother. It was very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the cabin is not very warm in the winter, especially the upstairs bedrooms. There are two gas fireplaces, but only one for guests' use, and we were asked to limit our use of the fireplace to one hour increments.

Happy to hear the house fit your needs and was a good size for your group. There are space heaters in each of the bedrooms upstairs available for guest to use. Regarding the gas fireplaces, the one in the game room is hard to operate, that is the warmest room in the house, we have it there as a back up heater in case the power goes out. The house has a new forced air gas heater and that is the best way to heat it, we ask guest to use it instead of the gas fireplaces as they are not very efficient and just provide ambiance.
We had 4 adults, two preschoolers and a dog. The ground floor large bedroom was perfect for us 'grandparents' and upstairs bedrooms each had two beds, which worked well. If our other family had joined us we could have put kids in the game room on a futon. There's a large fenced backyard for kids and dog. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. Good BBQ grill & hot tub. It's a nice neighborhood, a 10 min. drive to the lake, Safeway, and downtown area. Just a few minutes more to the Nevada casinos. We enjoyed the outside deck. One note: there's no air conditioning so the upstairs on hot afternoons gets warm, but the evenings are cool and there are good ceiling fans. We'd definitely like to stay there again. The home owners are terrific to work with.

Appreciate the very nice review. Always happy to hear our guest enjoyed their stay and the house worked out well for them. Thanks again!
Good location and stocked kitchen. Clean and nearby hiking. Never seen so many rules in a rental before. They're posted everywhere!
Main gripes were: small amount of provided toilet paper, unable to adjust hot tub temperature (didn't go beyond 101) and nothing to deal with driveway ice beyond a shovel. There was an box of salt or something placed in the garage but it was empty. Several party members fell and received minor injuries. Also there is a large boulder placed in front of the bear can that makes it very difficult to open and dispose of trash/recycling.

Happy to hear that several things about the house worked well for your group. It is unfortunate about the ice on the driveway, it rained one day with the warm weather and at night it froze and created the ice, the rain normally does not happen mid winter. We keep the sidewalk deicer in a smaller box, so it is easier to handle, there is big refill bag on the work bench. Regarding the rules, we are required by El Dorado County to post them in several locations and they inspect the house once a year and verify the positing. Sorry, if this upset you? They are only there to help guest with any questions they may have about how the house works especially in the winter. We do not have guest change the spa temperature because countless times they have pushed all the control buttons and put the spa in vacation mode and it will only heat to 85 degrees. Regards to the toilet paper, we state in our house information that there is only a starter supply and for longer stays to bring your own, this is how the housekeeping company does it. So sorry about the rock in front of the bear box/trash, this was move there by the tractor that clears the driveway and it should not have been there. We had it moved right away. We hope your family still had a nice time.
We were here for a wedding Over Labor Day weekend.
Honestly, this is the best VRBO I’ve ever ever rented.
It was comfortable, And we had beautiful weather. We decided to have other family join us for dinner on Saturday night And we were able to sit 10 people around the table easily.
Typically, you don’t have the pans and pots the correct size to make pasta and toss salads in token kitchens. But this kitchen and its amenities are unrivaled in my other experiences.
We were even provided with saran wrap, aluminum foil, Cleaning Cloth and towels.
I was happy with the signage everywhere. Rather than feeling like there were so many rules I felt like I could properly use the items that were available with instructions on how to make sure I Didn’t break anything Or cause problems for the owners.
The spa was wonderful. I’m not sure what people were complaining about for the heat. It stayed 102 the whole time. We didn’t touch any buttons except the jet buttons.
We didn’t see signs of the bear, Although we did see a few blocks away, garbage strewn around the street, likely by bears
The back deck was really pleasant, the yard was fun for the kids. There were games that we didn’t even get a chance to pull out and try. I saw bikes To ride, but we didn’t have a chance to do that either.
All in all, it was very comfortable, and I would go back in a heartbeat!

We appreciate you taking the time to write such a nice review. Happy to hear everything worked out well for you, family and friends while staying at the SLT VR.
Thanks for booking with us and hope you can stay with us again soon.

We really enjoyed the house and yard. It was our second time staying there and we already have our reservation in the summer.
We left a new black bear dog toy at the house. If possible could it be put in a cabinet for us to get in the summer?
Thank you

Thanks for taking the time to write a nice review and if we find the dog toy we will put it away and save it for you. Your business is much appreciated.
Perfectly located from South Lake Tahoe. This rental has everything you want to the lake with friends, family or both! Our kids loved the playroom upstairs and the backyard! Will definitely try and book this house again!!
Upstairs had 2 bedroom with two queens(or full) in each one. Then the game room upstairs is a separate room with a door with a couch and a queen size comfy futon (easily could be another bedroom). Then there's a king bed downstairs. Lots of space! Had a wonderful time and the jacuzzi is great with fenced in yard. Close to everything.
We loved the house and the large yard for our dog to run in.
We would definitely stay there again ! It was clean roomy and very well stocked . No complaints about anything. We also enjoyed the large deck on the back.
Ease from start to finish. Everything we needed was provided. We only used one bed during our stay and the comfort matched our bed at home. Large secure fence in the back for our dogs to play. Relaxing deck for bbq or just enjoying a glass of wine and nature watching. Looking forward to returning.

Rental is in great neighborhood minutes from lake and casinos. Large backyard was heaven for our beagle and Westie. Very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Teenagers had their own rooms. Will seek out this rental again in the future
Great experience with the check-in and the property was exactly how it was described. Would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking to have a great time in South Lake Tahoe
My experience renting this property was extremely outstanding. I had a great time in this location. Thank you so much for having us in your home. My family and I felt like if we were home. 😀

About the host
Hosted by Edrene Case, Andy Deal or Kenn Deal
Our family has always enjoyed all the outdoor activities Lake Tahoe has to offer. Winter offers world class skiing just a few miles away, in the summer enjoy hiking, biking, boating on the lake or a music concert at the lake or the near by casinos. We also have a vacation rental on Russian River in Healdsburg the heart of Sonoma County wine country. Check it out at VRBO #323376. Both our properties have great reviews. Just off the kitchen and downstairs bedroom is a big deck set up for out door living with hot tub, table, umbrella and chairs, bench seating all around and a large gas grill.
Why they chose this property
We choose this property because of it's location and size. My husband Kenn and my son Andy and I looked at many homes and most of them seemed too small to accommodate family and friends. This house has 2285 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a large game room. The yard is also big, over 1/4 of an acre and fully fenced making it a great place for our furry friends. After viewing it for the first time we knew it was the right place for us and would be comfortable for our family and friends to spend time together.
What makes this property unique
The house is 2285 square feet with 3 bedrooms and a large game room. Montgomery Estates is a very nice neighborhood with a woodsy feel but still close to town, Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, State-line and the Casinos. Just around the corner from the house are walking and mountain bike trails on acres of Forest Service Land. There is a big fenced in back yard, deck and nice hot tub for your family to enjoy.
