Head out the front door, turn east and arrive in minutes at Lighthouse Beach, the Surfing Museum, the Lighthouse, and of course the world famous “Steamers Lane” surf spot. Keep going and you will find yourself at the Surfer Statue, Cowells Beach, the Monterey Bay Exploration Center, the Wharf and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Head North along the cliffs, and you will pass a multitude of beautiful West Cliff homes, secluded cove after cove, and find yourself at Natural Bridges State Beach to watch Egrets, take the 'Monarch Butterfly Boardwalk' through the Monarch Grove, and check out the visitors center. There's simply nothing like it.

Why not just sit on the porch and watch it all happen… Directly in front of our house the people watching is fantastic as is the parade of abundant sea life: otters, dolphins, whales, pelicans, and more. With binoculars, a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine in hand; sunrise, sunset, and all day long, West Cliff will put on a show, and you will have a front row seat.

We had a great stay! There were plenty of bedrooms for everyone and lots of things to do. The hot tub and backyard amenities were so much fun. Everything was clean and the hosts were very communicative. The views were 10/10 and we even saw whales from the living room. We would definitely recommend this place for a large group.

This house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our yearly girls weekend. The beds were so comfortable and we had everything we needed to prepare meals and just enjoy being together. The front porch was great for just relaxing and people watching and in the backyard we had a great time learning how to play bocce ball. Very highly recommended. We hope to come again one day.

You will come for the view, and the bonus is the comfort of the home. Every detail is anticipated - kitchen items, blankets, towels, outdoor games, fire pit, hot tub, etc. Our family of five plus 2 dogs felt super comfortable here. The spacious backyard was pet friendly, and we hung out there more than we expected. The location cannot be beat, too! The road was not noisy and the ocean/people/dog watching was amazing. Cannot recommend enough.

The location combined with the size of the home was perfect for us & our cousins (total 4 adults, 6 kids). The house was well equipped with everything you need. The front & back yards are both very welcoming allowing the kids to be outside a lot too. Would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved staying here. We could hear (and feel!) the waves crashing on West Cliff. The house and yard were simply magnificent and we all had so much fun! Bocce, ping pong, hot tub. It was all just great!

Great weekend getaway

Our group of women thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this lovely property. The house was clean, linens were lush and it was well stocked. Unfortunately, it rained most of the weekend so we did not get a chance to enjoy the backyard games, but the inside was spacious enough to accommodate a rainy afternoon.

Our family of 13 spent a week in Santa Cruz. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! My grandchildren enjoyed biking, rollerblading and skateboarding on the walking trail. The adults were obsessed with whale watching (we saw several) from the front patio! The back yard was private, safe and spacious. A bit of paradise!

This home was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. The fire pit in the front yard allows for a beautiful ocean view and great people watching! Great house in an amazing location! Perfect for an extended family gathering - 4 generations. Well stocked with those kitchen items you always forget / need and lots of beach gear. Fill the wagon and walk to the dog beach. Definitely will come back to setup base camp to further explore the coast.

Family visit to Santa Cruz

Perfect place for a stay. The back yard is so big with so much to do, it is hard not to just stay and play. Plenty of room for our family of 11 (two are toddlers). Great views from the front of the house, both inside and out. People watching, running/walking, along West Cliff Drive added to the fun.

Perfect location

You can't beat the location! Besides the fact that you are a short walk to all of the attractions, the house itself is perfect for a large group. We enjoyed people watching by the fire in the front yard and playing games and relaxing in the back yard. The home itself is even more spacious than we expected and it slept our group of 11 comfortably. Gia and Krista were great hosts and very communicative. We would absolutely stay there again!

Wonderful home base for a beach weekend

The house was clean, very well equipped, with plenty of space and lots of entertainment for all family members, including the hot tub and outdoor shower. Beautiful ocean views, friendly people and dogs going by, quick walk to beaches or grocery. We especially appreciated the kitchen, with all the equipment and appliances needed to make meals easy for the whole family. Sitting and watching the pelicans fly by might have been our favorite part. We made wonderful memories here!

west cliff celebration

We celebrated my birthday with our two children and grandkids ages 11 and 14. The house was great. There were plenty of activities including a spa in the backyard to keep everyone busy. The location is spectacular and Gia is easy to reach with any questions.
