Borgo delle Spighe is set against a backdrop of wide expanses of land criss-crossed by lanes, inviting peaceful walks immersed in the glitter of golden wheat, among the yellow corollas of sunflowers and the purple of alfalfa... unique natural scenery. The place and the atmosphere will be the main ingredients of serene and relaxing holidays immersed in the green Tuscan countryside. Thanks to its privileged position, it is possible to reach in a short time the major places of artistic interest in Central Italy: Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Assisi, Perugia; the Etruscan town of Cortona, rich in history and traditions; the charming medieval towns of Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, Rapolano and Bagno Vignoni.

The structure is spread over three levels; the living area is on the first floor and is characterised by a large decorative fireplace and the seats and long table made of massive beams and glass. Adjacent to the dining area is the fully equipped kitchen with glass-ceramic hob. On the same floor is a large sleeping area composed of three bedrooms, all with double beds and private bathroom with shower cubicle. A fourth bedroom, very spacious and bright, is reached via the ancient and original wooden staircase. Another three bedrooms are located on the floor below: particularly spacious, they are all characterised by a different colour and have a private bathroom with shower and independent access to the outside. Also available to guests are the old wood-burning oven and the large swimming pool set in a splendid panoramic position. The swimming pool consists of a main pool measuring 10 x 5 metres, with a height of 1.40 metres, and two side pools, one of which is ideal for children as it has a maximum height of 90 cm. Adjacent to the pool are a BBQ and a large brickwork gazebo equipped with a table for dining al fresco on pleasant summer evenings, enjoying suggestive sunsets over the Tuscan countryside and an enchanting view of Cortona.

Situated at the foot of Cortona, Borgo delle Spighe is nestled in the heart of the Valdichiana, one of Tuscany's most picturesque settings. The large red-brick farmhouse, typical of the rural tradition of these valleys, has been completely renovated and now offers hospitality to groups of up to 14 people. The restoration aimed to preserve and revisit the rustic Tuscan style with exposed beams, wrought-iron beds and railings, brick arches and solid wood furniture.
