Haus WiekenHuus - Barrier-free vacation home on the North Sea with a large plot of land

The Wieken-Huus holiday home on the North Sea coast is located in the Wesermarsch region, across from Wilhelmshaven. Here’s a first look at our home.

The spacious, idyllic 700-square-meter property, away from the hustle and bustle, offers plenty of room for children and dogs to play.

The Wieken-Huus is particularly well-equipped for people with mobility impairments. There is threshold-free access to the front door and the patio. All doors are 100 cm wide; the bathroom features a walk-in shower with a shower stool and two grab bars. There is also a grab bar next to the toilet. The mirror is angled, making it easy to do your hair while seated. The bathroom features an infrared sauna, and the bathroom door opens outward for safety. A washing machine, dryer, clothes rack, and iron are also provided. For your safety, smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher are installed, and a first-aid kit is available.

The living room is comfortably furnished with a sofa and a reading chair and features a smart TV and a stereo system. The dining area seats 6 people at a large table with comfortable chairs. On cool evenings, you can use the modern wood-burning stove. There are two bedrooms, one of which is wheelchair-accessible. In one bedroom, there is a double bed in the lower area, and a TV is mounted on the opposite wall. A small, enclosed wooden staircase (childproofed with a gate) leads up to the loft. This area features two single beds, making it an ideal private sleeping and play area for children.

The kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality dishes, silverware, and glasses for 12 people. It features a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker (filter and Senseo), toaster, egg cooker, electric kettle, hand blender, as well as a mixer and the necessary baking utensils. A raclette grill is available for social gatherings. A small selection of spices is also available. Next to the terrace is a small herb garden.

A covered terrace (with a built-in retractable windbreak) invites you to linger. The smaller terrace in front of the bedroom is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset before bedtime. There are 6 garden chairs, 2 lounge chairs, and, of course, matching cushions for all the patio furniture. A grill with a smoker is ready for BBQ evenings. A sandpit shaped like a pirate ship offers children fun and entertainment. There is a lockable storage room for your bicycles. A wall-mounted charging station is installed, so you can charge your electric car right at the house. Payment for this is processed directly via credit card.

An information folder, picture books about the North Sea, a collection of games for rainy days, children’s toys, juggling balls, and stunt kites provide a variety of leisure activities.
