Prefer no pets, BUT, will consider well-behaved, small dogs, thanks. All appliances & fixtures new with ample storage available throughout home.Excellent Wifi available-3D TV w/ great sound system, so bring fave CDs,DVDs. Recommendations of local wine & dine places provided. Waterman's Park is less than a block away. NOTE that Urbanna is an excellent area for visiting WILLIAMSBURG / YORKTOWN / JAMESTOWN to the south AND WASHINGTON, DC area to the north!!!!! The Main Thing is CHILLAX! (chill/relax-get it?). THAT can be a sure thing in Urbanna. My wife & I hope you enjoy a fun & relaxing stay @ The Blue Tango!

Quick Weekend Getaway

We took a quick weekend getaway to visit my grandmother in the next town over. It was clean and perfect for my small family (2 year old). Manager had great communication leading up to the trip. Overall a great experience.

The property is perfect for a small family in a quiet neighborhood. The property is described as a 2 bed 2 bath home. The description would be more helpful if it said one bedroom, bath, kitchen, kiving room and outdoor living space was all upstairs with one bath and laundry down. My sister and I sometimes travel with our. 88 year old mother and she would not have been able to navigate tjhis property at all. it also wouldn’t hurt to say that this property was not handicap accessible, nor would it of been toddler friendly with direct access to the stairs or just getting a baby up and down multiple times a day. Over all a great property for the right group, close enough to the historic triangle.

Wonder place to relax and a great deal

This is a perfect place to stay to relax and enjoy great small town feel and good choice of restaurants close by. Will definitely make this a return visit in the future.

Coming back! Easy and relaxing

Blue Tango was the prescription we needed to destress and escape with our pet, while not breaking the bank. It was so peaceful to stroll through the neighborhood and enjoy the river views, town history, BBQ, and local farmers’ meat shop/coffee stop. Hope to take advantage of the BT hospitality again.

Location, Location, Location

This is an affordable gem of a property in Urbanna. Dog friendly, with a fenced-in yard and washer dryer, it has comfortable beds and a great sound system. There is a lot of local information available, and the owner was very responsive. It's perfect, especially for a family of 2-4. You can walk to town and to the marina and park. Just lovely.

Clean and serene

The place was quiet and cozy, exactly what We were looking for. No cable, but no problem as we were informed in the description anyway, there is WiFi so we could still log in with our own Netflix during the rain. Not a single place with bad seafood either. The Blue Tango was perfect and I would and probably will stay again. Only wish it was actually on the water and had a king size bed since I’m a big 6’4” dude. If you want to get away for some peace and quiet and still be able to enjoy was great local seafood....stop thinking about it and book this place.

Outstanding host

We ended up not going on our vacation due to concerns about traveling while COVID 19 is surging. We were VERY disappointed but plan on contacting the host again about staying for a week in the spring when things have hopefully calmed down. The host, Michael, was very cooperative and understanding. He responded to all of our concerns. We were NOT concerned about the cleanliness of the house, but we were instead concerned about leaving our little bubble during this awful pandemic. We will be contacting the host again about a week long stay.

Perfect spring retreat for couple

What a find! The Blue Tango was a perfect fit for a quiet retreat with my husband. Michael provided very thorough instructions prior to our arrival. The home was very clean and bright, and the decor was modern, tasteful, and comfy. The photos throughout the house added a nice touch and made it feel like more of an escape. The memory foam mattresses were a hit with my husband and the bedding was very soft. The kitchen had everything we needed to grill steaks and prepare breakfast during our stay. The weather on the day of our arrival was dreary, but the house was warm and cozy. Once the sun came out the next day, we took advantage of the rocking chairs on the deck and the cornhole game in the garage. We took the bikes out and around the town to see some of the beautiful neighborhoods- the bikes worked perfectly after adding a little air to the tires at the local gas station. Urbanna is a charming little town and is a great launching point for exploring the Northern Neck peninsula. We weren't able to try the acclaimed "Something Different" restaurant in town (Closed Sun evening through Tuesdays, so plan accordingly), but the local Italian restaurant Colonial Pizza made a mean pizza and baked spaghetti! Also definitely recommend Merroir in Topping, VA- just a short drive away. Delicious oysters and small plates with a beautiful spot on the water! We wanted to find a beach and a local recommended Wake beach. A little tricky to find on the map but a fun drive through curving countryside to get to this little isolated beach. A little too chilly and windy for the beach, but we at least got our toes in some sand! All in all, The Blue Tango was a perfect place to stay for a few quiet days away from the DC metro. Michael was very responsive to emails and questions. If we're ever back in the area and in need of a home-away-from-home, we'll be doing the Blue Tango!

Great property for our family reunion visit to Urbanna! Owner was communicative and gave great directions (trash is now Tuesday and Friday though, not Monday, and no town recycling). Nice, quiet street with water views and easy access to downtown Urbanna and the town pool. The second bedroom is down the stairs and off the garage, it does have a connected bathroom but fyi for families coming with smaller children. Unit was clean, organized, and had the main essentials. The pullout sofa is right next to the main bedroom upstairs. Great deck views, nice small yard to be out in, and easy access to Jamestown and Yorktown. Check out Something Different for dinner, Urbanna Pearl for oysters like you’ve never had, Wooden Pickle for breakfast, and visit the town museum to see the Mitchell Map, one of the earliest maps of the eastern US! Great visit, will be back again!

Ginya Visit to see 92yo Mom

It was just as advertised. Thanks for recommending Something Different and the Merroir restaurants. We missed them other visits. Also enjoyed The Wooden Pickle and Small Town Burger. Thanks for arranging for pool pass. It was definitely hot enough. We couldn't figure out how to use our Netflix. No matter. It was a mostly unplugged weekend and the leisurely pace was most welcome.Thanks for hosting us!

Property filthy. I did NOT STAY. Mildew on shower curtains. Filthy oven. Countertops crumbs under toaster.Keurig held old water. Mildew on ALL A/C vents. Stains on carpet. Dirt on upstairs bed frame. Sent photos to owner. Only gave partial refund. SHAMEFUL! NOTHING LIKE VIMEO VIDEO.

Quirky but nice

Three women stayed at Blue Tango for the weekend. A trip planned around paddling Dragon Run. The water levels were too high so the trip was cancelled. We thoroughly enjoyed urbanna and this was a great location. A few things we found disappointing about the house. One was the description said there was a hot tub and there was not. The description also said there was a water view and yes, you could see the water, but it was at an angle through someone else’s yard towards the river. Lastly, the bedroom on the bottom floor is separated from the upstairs living area and you have to walk through the garage to get there. It was OK for my friend, but I think if you had kids and were thinking they would stay down there you might be not as comfortable. Plus, it seemed to be a little bit more humid down there. Also, there was supposed to be instructions in the house for the air conditioner and other things and there were none. I would stay there again, but it would have been nice to know these things ahead of time. The picture of the water is from the tiny waterfront park only a short walk down the street.

Chat bot comms

I had multiple communications that I concluded were a Chat-BOT rather than the actual property owner or manager. We tried many times to confer with the owner that there was no means of locking the door to secure this unit, as the keypad did not have an exterior locking function, and the only other door to the house was a deadbolt with no key, meaning there was no way to lock the door from the inside and exit the property. I received only repeat messages that didn’t address the issue. The location was good and the space would be ok for a small group. We had three kids and it was not enough room to spread out without being in everyone else’s space.The second bedroom was off the garage downstairs.

Urbanna weekend

We came to town to visit with friends and enjoy the parade events. The house was perfect for our needs and very well stocked with anything we needed. It was a cold weekend and it would have been very nice to use the gas fireplace in the living room (but it is only for decoration). The house does have a regular coffee maker and a Keurig, which isn't in the listing but nice to have. The only negatives were stains on the towels and the Only Entry door was very difficult to lock (we struggled with this each time we left the home).

,everything was good except the steps were were Hard on us as we were 83 yrs old. Also it may help to put things in the bathroom to help getting in and out.
