About this property

Fantastic waterfront home on Jackson Creek

Modern, 2-story carriage house with dock and view of charming Jackson Creek. Perfect for a relaxing getaway, housing out of town guests, fun fishing weekends, and to use as a home base for visits to Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. Fish off of our dock. Ability to dock your boat steps away from carriage house depending upon size of vessel.

The space

The carriage house was added to property by the former owner who was a senior executive at a major corporation for use by his guests. On the first floor of the carriage house, there is a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom. On the second floor there is a large great room with bar area, 2 seating areas, an entertainment area with pool table and card table, a full bathroom, and a bedroom. There is a queen-sized sofa bed and a futon in the living room area on the 2nd floor. Each floor features its own deck. The carriage house is situated next to the main house on 3 1/2 acres. Because it is bordered by woods and the creek, it feels private.

Guest access

Guests will have access to the entire living area of the carriage house. You will also have use of the private dock and can enjoy the hammock and gas grill. There is a TV with DVD player, DVDs to choose from, cards for the card table, games, and a chess set. We provide towels, sheets, soap, and toilet paper. Guests provide their own beach towels. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Interaction with guests

You will be provided an access code for the front door so you can check in without having to wait for us. We are happy to meet you and to answer any questions you may have but will follow your lead as to how much interaction you want as we want you to enjoy your vacation with privacy.

Other things to note

If you plan to swim we recommend that you bring water shoes as when you are walking in shallow water there are oyster shells that may cut your feet.

Perfect spot to relax

We really enjoyed staying at this waterfront home. It was close to the main house but it also felt private. The dock was fabulous and we enjoyed spending time there every evening.

Great Location for our Group!

We were two families of 4 and were in town for an event. The hosts were wonderful and the guest house was perfect for what we needed. Kids enjoyed jumping off the dock and running in the yard.

Lovely waterfront vacation spot

We enjoyed our stay immensely. It was the perfect spot to gather with friends and family. We grilled fresh local seafood and produce on the grill on the deck. It rained a little, so we played pool and cards. We loved sitting on the decks and dock. The accommodations were perfect.

We loved our stay at the Cedar Point Carriage House! Everything was very clean and well planned. The kitchen and baths had all the amenities and then some! How lovely!

What a beautiful location! My husband was in heaven fishing off the dock, my 10 yo is in love with Mariah the sweet lab, my 18yo daughter and her boyfriend loved the pool table and games, and Charlie and Susan were just lovely hosts. The house had everything you could need, and we did enjoy the kitchen quite a bit for breakfast meals! It was close enough to other family staying at Stingray Point (literally 5 minute drive) and DeltaPie pizza was absolutely delicious! We could hear some live guitar music from the neighboring marina, and it was just enough to enjoy sitting on the porch or standing out on the dock. And our gracious hosts made some wonderful suggestions for food and music too!

Fantastic Get Away

Such a beautiful place to stay and perfect location. The owners are very special. The amenities are the best I have ever experienced, including crab pots. Easy access to all the quaint towns in the area. It was very hard and sad to have to leave this absolutely wonderful home.

Great Bay Get-A-Way

Great Visit!

The house was great. It was bigger and nicer than expected. The pull out sofa bed and futon in the great room were all made up for our convenience. Our adult kids enjoyed the pool table, the poker table, movies and fishing off the dock. The light in the water at night attracted fish and turtles. Our host Susan was extra friendly and helpful!

Awesome Memorial Day

Because first impressions are lasting ones... our Arkansas visitors' inauguaral trip to Virginia, was spent at Pine Top on Jackson Creek. Perfect Relaxing Getaway

The carriage house was immaculate, and very cozy! It was stocked with many convenient amenities, and within walking distance of some good restaurants. We were also close to shopping (in Kilmarnock) and a couple of wineries. We had a lovely weekend and would like to stay there again sometime!

Better than we even expected!

This place is truly amazing. I almost don’t want to leave such a glowing review because I want to keep it all for ourselves! The carriage house has ample space to sleep and the beds are arranged so there is distance and space even if you share a room or are in a “common” area. Kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook any meals. Dock is relaxing and has chairs. Susan and Charlie are the icing on the cake- sweet, funny, informative, thoughtful, easygoing- just everything you want in hosts. No detail is spared. Thank you for an amazing, memorable trip!
