In an Upscale Neighborhood, Stunning sunset views!

This adorable property has a delightful bedroom offering a queen bed with a quality mattress, a choice of pillows and high quality linens. You will find plenty of closet space and lots of coat hangers.

The bathroom is spacious with a large walk in shower, hair dryer, plenty of storage and towels as well as a washer and dryer.

In the living room you will find a love seat, coffee table and a queen sofa bed as well as a flat screen smart television. We also have a DVD player with a selection of movies, guide books and a collection of novels for your enjoyment. You will find a small closet with an iron and ironing board and some additional hanging space for clothing.

The bright and roomy kitchen opens out to a beautiful spacious deck. The deck is furnished with high quality patio furniture and market umbrellas for shade and offers beautiful open views! There’s even a gas barbecue grill for Al Fresco dining on those evenings that you just want to stay home.

Inside you will fine a table with four chairs, a refrigerator with freezer and ice maker, a toaster oven, a pop up toaster, a microwave oven, a Keurig coffee maker, electric kettle, a blender and small Crockpot. The kitchen offers plenty of storage, and everything you will need for a comfortable vacation including salad bowl, serving bowls, glasses, silverware, dinnerware, some basic pantry items, and a small selection of pots and pans.

This property has central heating and air conditioning.

Wine Country Retreat is only five minutes away from Sonoma Valley where you will find many wonderful award winning wineries and restaurants. If you are a keen mountain biker, you can cycle right from the vacation home into Annadel State Park. Our property is also very close to Spring Lake Regional Park, Sugar Loaf Ridge, Hood Mountain and Jack London State Park.

Within a half hours drive, you can get to Napa and all that is on offer there.

The climate here in Wine Country is one of the area's many distinguishing features. We have stunning sunny and dry weather for most of the year, making Sonoma County very popular with vacationers. People come to Wine Country to experience our local food and wine culture, as well as our stunning scenery, trails, beaches, lakes, and mountain biking.

Nice Wine Country Hideaway

The description of this property was right on. The property was extremely clean and had everything you need for your stay. Wonderful home away from home

Very quiet place in a safe neighborhood. Location is situated to enjoy what Sonoma and Santa Rosa have to offer in terms of entertainment. Everything you might need during your stay is available. The deck is wonderful and has a wonderful view.

Wonderful place!!

Luxurious property from a delightful host within minutes of vineyards and walking trails. Trione Anadel State Park is across the highway, and there are nature trails just out the door. The host, Jacqui, is a sommelier at St Anne's and it was wonderful to get to know her and listen to her Scottish accent.

Wonderful Apartment in a Great Location

My husband was attending a workshop in town, so we chose this cottage/apartment based on location and reviews. It was perfect on all counts -- the lovely and safe neighborhood, and convenient for day trips to Napa, Bodega Bay, and sites in Santa Rosa (Charles Schulz and Luther Burbank Museums). The accommodations were wonderful, from the well-equipped kitchen to the bright and cheerful decor. We had a great experience here!

Just like an upscale hotel suite!

The guesthouse all new, with top quality furnishings, appliances, including a Melita dishwasher and a Electrolux washer/dryer. Great cookware, toiletries, basically anything you could want in an upscale hotel suite. It was also spotlessly clean. The hostess is friendly and efficient, no complaints at all. Location is convenient to many wineries and is in a quiet suburban neighborhood with upscale houses all around.

Quiet

Wine Country Retreat was exceptionally quiet for a place in the "city". The neighborhood was nice and I felt safe walking/running around by myself. We didn't really use the well-equipped kitchen because there are so many interesting and delicious restaurants nearby. (And, besides, I was on vacation, didn't want to cook or do dishes). The owner, Jacqui, was very helpful and nice.

Perfect cottage in Santa Rosa

The Wine Country Retreat is a great place to stay in Santa Rosa. It is an attached cottage on the side of the garage, separated from the main house. It was quiet and peaceful, and you'd never know anyone was living next door so close. It is in a great location for wine tasting day trips- very close to St. Francis Winery, and it's just a short drive to the Russian River Valley, Sebastopol restaurants (we highly recommend Hole in the Wall by the way), and convenient to downtown Santa Rosa. The neighborhood is very nice and well-kept. The cottage has everything you'll need. We'll likely be back for another visit in 2017!

Sweet Retreat!

The Wine Country Retreat was perfect! It was my husband, two small children, and an infant in the unit for three nights. Jacqui provided a pack-n-play and there was milk for my boys' cereal AND there were Duplo Blocks to play with AND wine for the adults after a long drive. I just cannot rave enough about this retreat and the thoughtfulness that goes into its preparation and maintenance. The photos on VRBO don't do it justice! It is roomy and comfortable and our hostess was divine. My 7-year-old said, "I wish we could live here forever."

Everything you need! lovely property in a great location for wine country

This home was so lovely and the perfect staging point for our few days in wine country. I only wish we had longer! Jacqui was an excellent host. The home was incredibly clean- with ample towels, cooking supplies, and a bottle of wine (and a personalized message for us for our anniversary! 🥰) - it was clear she took great pride in thinking about everything. The unit was private, and the back deck space was a little oasis- looking like you are in the woods or mountains rather than the neighborhood you are in - but neighborhood convenience for shops and hopping on the road to any winery area you choose. I would definitely recommend this place for your wine country stay.

Outstanding for hospitality and views!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful retreat for 6 nights this summer. It was so nice to have a wonderful "home away from home" while Kristy was receiving medical treatment in Santa Rosa. Jacqui, Andrew and the boys were so friendly and welcoming we truly felt like honored guests. The apartment had everything we needed and more! I enjoyed many walks through the neighborhood and even got to do some geocaching there! Jacqui's positive inspirational tips throughout the house always brought a smile to my face. If we ever needed anything she was always there to help. She was one of the bubbliest and energetic persons I have ever met. The accommodations were spotless and so tastefully decorated. I too wish we would have had more time to enjoy all that the area had to offer. Now I know of just the right place to return to when I come back to Sonoma Valley.

Jacqui was born and raised in East Lothian Scotland. She had a very successful career in the travel and tourism industry in Edinburgh for twenty five years! In 2009, Jacqui, her husband Andrew and their two sons were given the opportunity to move to Sonoma County and the rest was history!

The whole family fell in love with this stunningly beautiful part of California and wanted to share it's beauty with their nearest and dearest. When choosing their new home, they decided to buy a property that would allow for just that. Nestled in the beautiful Skyhawk area is their home with Wine Country Retreat, right on the property.

Why they chose this property

The moment I saw this property, I knew it was the one for us. It was love at first sight. I never tire of the location, the mountain views, or the bright airy feel. The choice of food and wine options are endless. We love how close it is to Annadel Park and Spring Lake where we enjoy walking.

What makes this property unique

The location of Wine Country Retreat is superb. The open views are quite stunning and the host is so friendly and welcoming. The property is spotlessly clean and bright. The bed linens and towels are of superior quality and the space is bright, comfortable, clean and private.
