We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed the house and appreciated that the location was close to everything. Thank you for bringing up the kayak and security deposit. In our add, immediately following the description of the kayak, we kindly ask that you notify us if you will want to use it. We want to be sure that all our guests who want it can utilize it, and will happily have it available at the house when you arrive. Unfortunately we did not hear that you were interested in using it, and if it had been communicated even after arrival, we would have been happy to have brought it by. The security deposit is automatically refunded from the site, and this is done 14 days after departure. This is an automated process. Thanks again for being such great guests!

We are very glad to hear that our guests enjoyed the great amenities that are in the neighborhood and within easy walking distance. If you can believe it from this review, this house was less than a year ago completely stocked with a kitchen for the max occupants of 15! That includes baking pans, mixing bowls, frying pans, pots, and kitchen and eating utensils. We are still learning, and unfortunately one thing we have learned is that it seems items tend to "disappear'at a faster rate than we had expected. As we rent the house mostly, and had not used it ourselves, we rely a lot on our feedback from guests and our cleaners if the house is in need of something. Prior to this our cleaners had never really thought to check on availability of the kitchen supplies in the cupboards, knowing that we had stocked it in preparation for 15 people. Getting a review after the fact is helpful for us to prepare for feature guests, but we do wish we could have had the opportunity at the time of their stay to make it right. We would have been happy to bring anything they needed, and would be most appreciative of the immediate heads up. We have since restocked the kitchen with new supplies, and have instructed our cleaners to check on the availability of these things prior to guests arrival.

We do provide beds for 9 guests and clearly state in the listing that additional guests would need to utilize the click clack couches. We understand that these may not be as comfortable as traditional beds, especially for adults, and we apologize if this was not adequately communicated. This neighborhood commercial area has undergone significant modernization, with new top restaurants and even a Trader Joe's moving in. While this has brought exciting developments to the area, including increased dining options and amenities, we understand that it may have also resulted in increased activity and noise levels. We are not familiar with this guest and this review is clearly for a different property. We believe this was review was misappropriated to the wrong property. We are in the process of having this reviewed by VRBO. This property does not have a MIL (mother in law) unit, nor several of the other things the review mentions. Besides not having a MIL unit, there also is not a back deck (there is a patio), or “ant infestation”. There is clearly a mix up.
