This is the 2nd time stay here at this house. The house is small but enough for two adults. My favorite is a small desk as I had to work sometimes and a yoga mat! We love the hardwood floor on the living room and bedrooms. The house was clean thanks to Carol who is a local property manager. Appreciated her help on checking in process.

Sketchy neighborhoodWrong Combination given to lock box to obtain keysHeavy duty Moth Ball smell when finally entering the home. Opened windows and later there were mosquitos due to screens not working properly. There were no instructions for anything including how to work the TV. Bbq was filthy and unusable. The apartment was cute enough but that's the only positve.I could not stay there.VRBO was very helpful but unfortunately propery manager had to be forced to give me 50% refund and that took numerous phone calls and emails. I hope this review made it all worth it to her. My vacation turned into a hassle until I could find a hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was very clean. The VRBO site does list a hot tub as an amenity, but there is no hot tub. Otherwise we were very pleased with the property.

Quiet & Well Equipped Home

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is well equipped in all aspects: kitchen , bedrooms, linens, towels, outdoor (a hammock!) etc. Spacious with lots of seating and even a desk in the bedroom for work. I slept very well, as the neighborhood was friendly and quiet. Host Shanti is most gracious and property manager Carol is welcoming and goes above and beyond. Great value, great stay!

Location! Location! Location!

We enjoyed a wonderful month long stay! Carol and Shanti are excellent hosts. The house is exactly as described and the large yard offers excellent opportunities to enjoy the weather and relax. Most importantly, the house is a short walk to Atlantic Avenue and restaurants, as well as a quick ride to the beach! We will be back!

Perfect for us

This house really worked out perfect for us. I came down to Delray Beach for Work and Pleasure trip. I was able to work from this home with no problem. Then, because of the location, we were able to go to the Beach very quickly. We also liked Atlantic Ave and had dinner at restaurants there, on multiple occasions. We were very close to shopping for anything we needed to stock up on. The house was very cozy and I would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic!

The house was located in quiet neighborhood. The train tracks were near but we were away during a day time and not bothered at all. The house was clean and the kitchen was more than fully equipped!! We liked to have own parking space. The yard was nice to sit down and relax. Definitely come back when we are in the area. Shanti was responsive to our questions and it was nice for Carol to stop by in a middle of the stay to ensure everything was okay. Enjoyed our stay.

Very, Very Happy With The Choice!

First of all Shanti was amazing. Very respectful, hones and friendly. The house was very clean and all the accommodations were exactly as the description says on the website. One of the most important thing is that we felt very safe in that nice neighborhood . If you see any bad reviews about this place, those people are just too picky and/or spoiled. Beautiful little “cottage” feel

My husband and I stayed for a month and couldn’t have been happier with the house. It is small but perfect for us. It was very clean and well equipped for our stay. It’s in a beautiful, safe neighborhood that I enjoyed walking around. It is about a mile away from Atlantic Ave. where all the restaurants and shops are. We would usually walk there and take Lyft back. We did have a couple of questions when we got there and they were answered in a very timely and friendly manner. It’s a wonderful house and fantastic location. I highly recommend it.

Comfortable and affordable place to stay

My wife and I and our daughter and son-in-law stayed here for six nights while in town for a memorial. The house is small-ish, but very cozy. It's close to everywhere we needed to be in Del Ray and Boca, and in a quiet neighborhood. Parking for our two cars wasn't a problem. The A/C worked fine and kept the house at a comfortable temperature. All the kitchen appliances are in good shape, and the washer/dryer combo handled several loads. Although we didn't go to the beach, there are beach chairs and beach toys there, and plenty of extra towels and linen. We didn't use the TV much either, but we did watch a few things on the Netflix account set up at the house. I would stay here again - compared to other rentals in the area, it's a good deal for a comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood. And the owner was a pleasure to deal with.

Very happy with our stay!

The property was perfect for myself, husband and son. We were there for a tennis tournament at ProWorld so the location was perfect for us. Quiet and clean neighbourhood. Very clean house. The kitchen was well stocked. Not too much countertop space but we made it work. It was awesome to even find yoga mats available for our use. We found the beds very comfortable but some mind find the mattresses soft. We like soft mattresses. We really enjoyed the hammock in the backyard and having a parking space for our car. AC worked great. We were a bit concerned that the house is located quite close to train tracks but we were happily surprised to learn that we could hardly heard the noise from the trains. And they weren't that frequent. It certainly wasn't an issue for us. The windows are very good and seem to keep noise out well. The host was super responsive. When we go back to Delray we will try to stay there again if it's available. Very happy to recommend this place.

The home was lovely and clean – exactly as presented on the site- the neighborhood was less than I expected, but still OK and it was close to Atlantic Ave shops. However, I did not end up staying at this property. The second I opened the door there was a horrible smell of mothballs. Apparently a guest prior to my stay had left them everywhere and the host tried to air out the house before I arrived and installed an air freshener, but it didn’t work at all. The smell was so bad my eyes watered and swelled,and I started to cough. I have horrible allergies so I couldn’t stay in the house. The host cancel the reservation and refunded my money immediately. VRBO was wonderful about helping me find new places to stay and reimbursed me the difference between the original booking and the new ones ( trying to find places to stay in a tourist area during spring break was difficult -I stayed in four places that week. Lol. ) The host was lovely, The property itself was lovely and I’m sure the problem has been resolved so I wouldn’t hesitate to book the property on another visit.

Below expectations

Our stay was far from pleasant!! The house is in a close proximity to a railroad and we were woken up every single night, several times a night, with the passing trains. It would have also been good to know that there is a heavy and very loud Construction going on and the house is located at the epicenter of it. The construction starts promptly at 7am every morning and every single day we had to find new ways of getting in and out of the house, not to mention all the dust and noise that went with it! Now about the house itself. First of all it's very small and very cluttered with very kid unfriendly, sharp-angled furniture. Definitely not a kid-friendly place. Everything is very worn, old and falling apart from cabinet handles to handles on the windows and Everything in between. For those that have back problems like myself and who value their sleep, the mattresses are extremely low quality. Air conditioner broke during our stay, however the owner was able to resolve it very fast which was good. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a variety of insects in the house such as cockroaches and moth, lots and lots of moth which explained the strong smell of moth balls! To summarize, what you get is definitely not worth what you pay!! I most definitely do not recommend!!!

Hi Jane, Firstly, I'm sorry to hear you had a terrible stay. Let's address the house itself, it's a very small house for 4 people to sleep comfortably. Not for 8 people as were in your family especially when they were 4 kids. I was only informed of 2 adults and 4 kids but there were 4 adults and 4 kids. I can see now how that would be very uncomfortable. As for the insects, it's a tropical place and there would be insects getting in and out through the two doors which has trees in close proximity. We do get an insect control company to come in twice a year to disinfect to reduce the effects of flying insects. The mattresses are of very good quality and one set was recently replaced. The infrastructure around the area is a bonus for the residents as it is much needed. In future, I would suggest to please book a hotel/house with 4 rooms to accommodate your family which would be in the range of $400-$600 per night as we charge $185 per night for 2 bedrooms. It's the heart of Delray with trains running all day and a few times at night! Best Regards for your future travels! Shanti

Disappointing

Although the house was very clean and the electric appliances in good condition, the beds and the sofa bed are extremely uncomfortable. The mattresses were lumpy and the beds creaked with every movement. Very disappointing!

Hello Saadia, Sorry to hear you were disappointed in your stay. No one ever uses the sofa bed. It's there for an extra overnight guest which rarely happens. The beds are very comfortable for us. But maybe it's time to change the mattress as it's 6 years old. Thanks for your honest feedback. WOW - So clean!!

The property is small but it is exceptionally clean. I can't emphasize that enough - really, really clean. In addition, we liked the proximity of the property grocery stores, downtown, etc. It wasn't walking distance but everything was within a few miles of the property and pretty easy to get to. We would recommend.

Enjoyed our stay

We were happy with stay. House was very clean and exactly as it was shown. Contact with Carol was easy and we didn’t need much help. Wifi was excellent but password was not on back of modem as it said in one communication. Location was very convenient to shopping. The drive to the beach was short but sometimes there is a lot of traffic and parking can be a problem. There is a charge for all parking and there are public lots on the west side of A1A. Did research about parking and it was well worth it. All in all we had a great stay.

Not good

The bedroom sheets and comforters were terrible.... old, dirty and dingy....the living room furniture was the same...very dingy...we were uncomfortable there but had no choice.... We really feel that we should get some of our money back...not sure how to do that? Can you help?

I'm sorry to hear about your unhappiness with our house. We love this little house and cannot see it, the way you are looking at the furnitures and linen which are less than 4 yrs old. I have been replacing linens over the years and have multiple sets in the closet. Maybe it's time to replace some of them this year. Our intentions for some of the furnitures was to have an antique look which apparently worked. I have an excellent cleaner who takes pride in her work of cleaning the house so that guest are completely happy. Thanks for the feedback and we will continue to do our best to make anyone who stays at our lovely house very happy. Shanti

The tropical landscaping of this home are, in my opinion, its most amazing feature. The house features clusia bushes, coconut palms, two colors of desert rose, numerous seasonal fruit trees and my all time favorites, silver Bismarck palms.
