3 Bedroom Condo slopeside at Winterplace Ski Resort with the convenience of home

Comfortable 3 bedroom 2 bath condo with deck overlooking the ski slopes.

There is a bunk room (1 bunk bed) that sleeps two, a queen bed in each private bedroom with bath, and a double sized futon in the living area. A cozy fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, wide screen tv in living area and smaller tvs in bedrooms add to your enjoyment. Plenty of fresh towels and sheets provided.

IN WINTER: Plan a break from skiing for a bowl of homemade soup (we'll leave the crook pot and the recipe) and a rest in the middle of the day. There are common laundry facilities to dry those wet gloves and toboggans in the building, but none of the crowds found in most ski lodges.

IN SPRING, SUMMER, FALL: This is a wonderful area for all things nature. Go white water rafting, hike the many trails, fish in the trout streams, tubing, kayaking visit one of the many state parks in the area such as Bluestone, Camp Creek, Pipesteam, Greenbrier River Trail, Little Beaver, or Pinnacle Rock. Attend Bridge Day and watch base jumpers leap from the New River Gorge Bridge the 800 ft to the New River Gorge below. So many activities for you to enjoy.

Prime location with wonderful views and convenience to ski slopes, but entire condo unit needs a complete update and renovation. Sofa has peeling or peeled vinyl over 50% of it surface, Microwave missing handle, rusted radiators, both bathroom completely antiquated.

Excellent property

This was an excellent property with everything we needed! The owner even thought to leave things like zip lock bags and aluminum foil. It was fun to sit on the porch and watch the skiers when we weren’t out. You can’t beat the ski in and out location. I wish there was a washer and dryer or at least a gear dryer (I ran out of quarters for the community set), but we will still definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, efficiency appartment

The best place to stay to enjoy Winterplace. This no frills apartment has everything we needed. The bunk room is also the entrance and mud room. This is typical of this building. Great place to get ready for the slopes and relax after a day of fun. We had three adults and three teens and it worked perfectly for us. We will be back!

Great ski in/ ski out experience

You can’t beat the convenience of staying on the slopes! This rental does not provide shampoo or coffee (not a big deal, but a detail I overlooked and was unprepared for, there is a dollar store a couple of miles away). The until was clean and had all the pots/pans etc that I could imagine anyone needing. Coffee maker and filters. No hairdryers. We stayed Monday through Friday and the whole place was quiet. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great location but dirty condo

The location of the property was great. But our condo was dirty, floor hadn’t been vacuumed, food under futon, dirty silverware in drawers and what looked like mouse droppings under sink and in drawer with kitchen utensils. Contacted property manager about living room TV not working on our arrival and never heard back from them around resolution. Wanted to love this place because the location is perfect, but cannot recommend due to being dirty.

Hair in bed

The rental was in a great location to ski resort, however it was very disappointing to arrive at 1:30 am to find the hairs all in the bed. I expected the unit to be older, but the carpet was dirty( looked 20 years old) stain on chair in living room, hairs on sheets in bedroom. Just too many things to list. The unit was old, worn and just dingy, made it feel unsanitary. Would not visit this unit again.

farther from hospital than advertised, but nice place to stay

I was nice and quiet up there on the mountain. Now it is really getting pretty with springtime hitting now. It is farther than I was told from the hospital so I had to move into town. I am an OR RN and have to be on call. If you can stay 25 minutes away it is a good choice if you want quiet, pretty and roomy.
