I really enjoyed all the little touches around the house that makes one appreciate the 50's. The bed was so comfy and I loved the quilt on it too. Sitting on the back porch during a thunderstorm was very peaceful, would totally stay here again!
House was advertised. Clean and more than sufficient size wise. We only overnighted there as we were passing through to South Carolina but we certainly enjoyed exploring the house and it’s history.
This house is very charming and clean. Anita is a great host and I will plan to stay there again. It is a perfect halfway point when we go to the beach and much easier with our dog than a hotel. I absolutely recommend it.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Decent place to stay if you’re passing through and only need a place to lay your head, which is what we were doing. It wasn’t a great fit for our family of 6.A few things not mentioned: •upstairs (where our kids slept) is cooled by window fan units •there are cats that come to the back porch- cat allergies aren’t an issue for us but I can see that being a problem for others if they wanted to enjoy the deck area. We didn’t go out there either wayA few things to improve:•bathroom doorways stick and have to be pushed hard to open•grass needed cut
This was my second time visiting my son at Concord University and staying at a place Anita owns. The location to the school couldn’t be better. This home was exactly as described in the VRBO description. Athens is a small quiet town with not much to do however Princeton is a short 20 minute drive. You will find a Dollar General and CVS conveniently located from this home. Directions for arrival were clear and arrived in a timely manner. Thank you for your hospitality.
For the price this was a great deal. Lots of room and a beautiful view out the back of the home. This was a stop on our trip farther south. Very clean home.
My family of three stayed here for two days. This home is beautifully decorated and will take you back in time to the 1950’s. There are two full-sized bathrooms on the first floor, a large kitchen, and enough space to accommodate 10 people to eat in 3 different rooms. We made homemade quiche for breakfast and the appliances worked great! The living room is spacious with plenty of seating and we enjoyed relaxing and watching movies. We ate at Moe’s Pizza one night. It’s very close to this home and the food is delicious! This guest house is perfect for families and would be a great location for a girls’ getaway weekend.
We were in town for a funeral all the way from Colorado. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and close to businesses you may need during your stay or remote enough to enjoy a peaceful getaway. House was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Host was responsive & accommodating.
We stopped for the nightt after going tubing all day at Winterplace. Directions to the house were easy, and the home was beautiful. Truly a retro back to 50s vibe. Thank You for a wo derful stay.
