Relax in Paradise on St. Croix's North Shore - Cane Bay!

Listen to the soft rustle of palms and feel the caress of an island breeze as you sip morning coffee or drink sunset libations. The symphony of waves will lull you to sleep as you relax on the seaside veranda.

Bit O Paradise sits on St. Croix's famous north shore and is surrounded by stunning views of the Caribbean Sea near Cane Bay. Historic Christiansted, with its many shops and outside dining restaurants is just a 15 minute drive. Most days, you won't want to leave home - any why should you? Relax the day away by the Villa's lovely pool located sea side.

Your back yard view is the sea, and the turquoise Caribbean waters are amazing! Although the sea at the Villa is a bit rocky and mainly surrounded by iron shore/coral, there is a beautiful swimming, snorkeling and diving beach (Cane Bay Beach) just a half mile down the road. You can go into the water at the Villa, but its shallow for a while and the currents can get rough.
The Villa sleeps 10 people (up to a max of 8 adults, since two beds are bunk beds and top bunks are for children only).

Cane Bay Beach is only a half mile down the road and St. Croix's 'Wall' is only 200 yards off the shore - a world renowned SCUBA diving site!

**This Rental Villa is non-smoking (neither inside the villa nor outside on the grounds of the Villa) and does not accepts pets *

Washer and dryer are available, however they are in a room that is in process of being renovated. It is a separate door and room from the rest of the house, and the current condition of this room does not affect any other part of the property.

***No backup power or generator service is included with this rental. In the event that there is a generator on property, and in the event it is functioning properly, it's use is purely incidental and not guaranteed. Any power outage in the area of the Villa may result in food spoilage and / or loss of use of window A/C units, toilets, showers, etc, all of which are also at the risk of the renter.***

Electricity is at a premium on the island, so please be aware of air conditioning settings and other electric usage. The total rental amount includes 50 kilowatt hours “kWh” of electricity usage per rental night. Any electricity amount in excess of (50 kWh * # of nights rented) will be deducted from the Security Deposit and charged at $0.50 per additional kWh over (50 kWh * # of nights rented), which will be measured at check in and check out via a reading of the Villa’s electric meter. As a note, only 2% of renters have ever gone over this allotment, so its enough to cover a comfortable week on island!

The villa was spectacular! Everything that was advertised about the place was accurate. The manager, Diane, was very responsive. We enjoyed being on the north side (Cane Bay) of the island. That side is very residential and not touristy. Yet, you're 20-30 minutes from grocery stores and nice restaurants. Cane Bay beach is less than half a mile away and was never too busy. The grandkids loved the tidal pools below the villa. This is a great place for kicking back and experiencing "island life".

Relaxing vacay

Our family stayed at Bit O Paradise and enjoyed everything about this property. Great location, and Diane met us at the airport and even let us stop by the grocery store to grab some items before heading to the house. We loved our stay here, if you are looking to book a stay here, don't hesitate, you wont regret it.

Bit O Paradise was everything we were hoping for and more! The house was beautiful, the views were spectacular, and we loved that there were multiple restaurants so close to the Villa. Cane Bay beach was a short walk/drive and the water was crystal clear! We loved our visit and will definitely stay here again!

Wow!! Truly was a week in Paradise!

Spacious rooms, cool breeze off the ocean, wonderful lounging spaces, the pool was fabulously refreshing, loved the barbecue grill, conveniently located close to beach and restaurants, and equidistant to the two main cities and shopping. Secure, gated Villa. Outside shower was a terrific plus. We can't wait to return.

Wonderful Vacation!

This was a great property for our family vacation. Everything was nice but the lower level room was pretty musty smelling. We couldn’t let the kids stay down there. Also the furnishings could be updated a bit. The beds were comfy and we loved the fresh air flowing through the villa. We would definitely stay there again!!

How to lower your blood pressure

The pictures don't do this property justice. As soon as you walk through the front door you are struck with the ocean view & the sounds of breaking waves. You will find it very difficult to leave this property to see what the rest of St. Croix has to offer. The sound of the waves & the palm trees waving in the constant breeze will calm even the worst cases of high blood pressure. The house itself is laid out very nicely. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils & plenty of pots & pans. The outdoor grill is very nice & Diane is only a phone call away to answer any questions.

Beautiful views.

This house has beautiful views of the ocean. This is our second time staying there as we enjoyed it so much the first time we stayed at this location. Unfortunately, this time we noticed there are some repairs that need to take place and we had an incident the last morning we were there and could not get the host to reply to us. Thank goodness my husband was able to shut off what needed done to stop the issue at the time. I called multiple times and sent a text message and then also asked for confirmation that they received my text and I have yet to receive a response. I wanted to make sure they were aware of the issue and that it needed to be addressed immediately. We love visiting St Croix and will return but probably to a different location.

Beautiful property! Here's the complete story

Cons: 1. House is old. Could use a face-lift and a good deep cleaning (but the important parts are very clean) 2. Main bath is fine, but other 2 are uncomfortably warm 3. Conserving elec & water - deal-breaker? No. Drag? Yes 4. Limited lounge space in living area. Only 2 love seats (barely enough for 4). Not enough for the whole group. Lots of dining room chairs, but not a lot of comfy lounge seats. Pros: 1. Location is PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL! Steps away from secluded beach (too rocky to swim, but so fun to explore) 2. LOVED being able to walk to swimmable beach (although NOT for elderly or young - too far and dangerous) and a couple of restaurants (Highly recommend The Landing. Do NOT recommend Off The Wall) Driving is also an option. 3. Beach towels, beach chairs, pool toys are supplied. Extremely helpful. 4. Kitchen is very well-stocked with oils, spices, etc as well as appliances (crock pot, blender, etc) 5. LOTS of comfortable seating outside. Plenty of room around the pool. Also note: look up what sunscreen (reef-safe) is allowed on the island. If you can bring it with you, do. We had to buy it while there, and it was $17 for the lotion and $26 for spray. Overall: I would definitely recommend Bit O Paradise. The name says it all. We felt like we were in paradise and would love to return!!

Beautiful Property, great location, amazingly helpful owners and property manager

We had a wonderful time staying at Bit O Paradise on St. Croix's north shore. We were looking for a waterfront home with an amazing view, lots of room, a private pool, and peace & quiet. This property checks all the boxes. I had a LOT of questions for the owner before booking, and both before and during the trip. She was nothing but kind & helpful, providing plenty of tips and great advice. Upon landing, we were met at the airport by the property manager Diane. Since it was Thanksgiving day and rather late in the day, she stopped at the grocery store with us and even helped us shop. We then followed her to the house where we got a tour of the property and learned how everything worked. We could reach out to her any time we needed with any problems or questions. The home is just beautiful. The pictures don't quite do it justice. We would wake up each morning to a beautiful sunrise and could walk along the shoreline without seeing another soul. We enjoyed being close to Cane Bay and spent a lot of time there as well. There are a few restaurants in the immediate area that we found very convenient. We ate at Eat At Cane Bay a couple of times, and at Off The Wall. We tried to get to Rowdy Joe's but it was closed that day. The property seemed to be about half way between Frederiksted and Christiansted, so it was quite convenient. We visited Christiansted for Jump Up, dinner, and a boat excursion, and visited Frederiksted for a scuba trip, horseback riding, and a visit to Rainbow Beach. The location of the property couldn't have been better. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the pool was refreshing, and the view was to die for. I would recommend this property to anyone. You won't regret your decision.

Excellent location and wonderful space

We had to book this house last minute due to complications with our previous house and everyone in our family agreed this house was a hidden gem. The check-in process was easy and the property contact was very accommodating to any requests we had. She went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be my first choice to look at if we come back to the island.

Great Location!

Great Location near a great beach. The beach at the front of the property is not safe for swimming. The pool is a great place to hang out but it is very cold. The property is lovely but could use some updating and a good deep cleaning, new pillows and better linens.

Scuba Vacation? This is the place for you!

Our group of 6 adults came for SCUBA and R&R and this was the perfect place to be located on the island. The house is amazing with the views and amenities. Half mile away is the dive shop and Cane Beach. Also halfway from the pier and the boardwalk. We definitely recommend this place. Christine (owner) and Diane( property manager) we're quick to respond with all our questions and gave great recommendations for food. Being on the ocean was an added bonus. Hearing that sound was relaxing. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect location

We selected this property back in December for family group (ourselves, adult children/spouses, and 3 grandchildren). Then a pandemic happened. The owner was always prompt responding to messages, and she worked with us to ultimately reschedule to a later date. The property representative was at the airport when our flight arrived, and she led us to the house, showed us around, answered questions, and directed us to the grocery store. The house was perfect for our group. We were walking distance to beautiful Cane Bay Beach and a couple of casual restaurants (but we mostly drove because of kids and no sidewalks). The beach at the house was more rocky, and the surf more choppy, but still made a good snorkeling and beach combing spot. Despite the August heat, the breeze at the house made sitting outside very pleasant. The pool was great for keeping the kids entertained. There are several lounging areas outside around the property so it was easy to find a bit of quiet. House was very well equipped and clean. Beds were very comfortable. AC units in the bedrooms kept the temp good for sleeping. We mostly ate in, and found everything we needed in the kitchen. This was our first time in St. Croix, and we liked the central location of the property. It’s was an easy drive into Christiansted to catch the boat to Buck Island. Scuba and snorkeling equipment were nearby (we used Sweet Bottom at Cane Bay). We were very impressed with the efforts throughout the island to contain the spread of Covid-19. It was a wonderful week, and we hope to come again when we can do more exploring.
