Coral Reef Beach House - Relax or Dive in Paradise, great central location

Coral Reef Beach House is a beautiful house located in Judith's Fancy, one of the few gated communities on the island of St. Croix. It has 3 1/2 bedrooms (2 king and 1 queen and 1 full size beds) and 2 1/2 baths. The master walk-in closet has been converted to a small bedroom with a full size bed (hence the 1/2 bedroom, great for small children). The 1/2 bath is off the patio. The backyard 6 foot deep pool is extremely private on the one acre parcel. There is a washer and dryer located in a separate utility room off the patio. As well, there is an automatic backup diesel generator (just installed in 2021) capable of running the entire house during the frequent power outages in St Croix.
The property also features a guest cottage adjacent to the pool that contains 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and living area that is optionally available $150 per night

Enjoy some fresh local seafood on the large propane BBQ grill with some fresh blended fruit drinks. The house is centrally located on the island with a nice grocery store nearby.

Great accommodations

This house was the perfect fit for our two families. There was lots of outdoor space for everyone to hang out and the pool was in good condition. Central location was great and we were able to easily hit the different places we wanted to visit. Clean, cool (wall units), and full of the necessities (loads of towels, laundry, well-equipped kitchen). Would stay here again and highly recommend!

Beautiful house! Fantastic people!

We spent several days here in May and we LOVED every day of it!! The home was in a great location and the hosts were beyond compare!! We can't wait to come back and we are already planning our return trip with Deep Narcosis Scuba year after year!

After 5 days of a very stressful vacation, the owner of this property went out of his way to save our vacation.This is a great home with a pool and the ocean right accros the street and a small beach with access from the road a short walk (3 min.) from the house.This is in a gated community with entrance security.I recommend this property.Sandy

Gentle Breeze & Wonderful View

The property was absolutely wonderful with the East Trade Winds keeping everyone cool throughout the day. At night you can hear the water on the beach as you fall asleep and in the morning wake up to a beautiful view. Mel and Greg were wonderful and took exceptional care of us the entire trip. They even met us at the airport and guided us to the property which is nothing less than exceptional customer service. They provided directions to both shopping and close restaurant locations.

The property was not completely clean, i.e. the floors especially. The 4th bedroom sucked as it did not have a door to the hallway and had to go through the main bedroom. The beds were uncomfortable and one of them still had the plastic on it. The windows were broken and didn't stay shut. The garage was full of trash and junk and un-useable.

Host was great, but house needs to be cleaned

Greg the host was very helpful, and was happy to answer any questions and give us heads up about the weather, etc. However, the house was really dirty. Most surfaces and floors were sticky with grime and covered with dust. There was dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere, including multiple dead cockroaches on the floors and tons of dead ants in the bath towels. Of course it’s an island and some bug life and dirt is expected, but the level of grime, cobwebs, and dead bugs everywhere shows that the house hadnt been cleaned in awhile. A/c was broken in one room- Greg brought a fan to help. The ceiling also leaked in multiple areas after a bad rainstorm.

Nice house, great neighborhood!

Great house in a pretty, safe-feeling neighborhood, with wonderful views. We especially enjoyed the back porch and pool! Was really nice to also have an ocean view from the front of the house.We understand it’s the Caribbean. There’s going to be some sand, maybe a little dirt. A few bugs. Some things are going to be a little rusted and corroded. The salt in the air makes upkeep REALLY tough! And the water is from the cistern. So water conservation is key. We could tell some paint has been touched up lately, esp outside around the pool, and the owner/ property manager do a pretty good job of upkeep on this nice property. It’s a great house, that met our needs very well. Pretty well appointed, tho you have to hunt for things like trash bags. And if there was toilet paper, we couldn’t find it. Thankful we went to the house before our store/grocery run, so we could stock some tp. We did have ants in the master bedroom bed that bit us the first night. There was some ant spray in the bathroom that we used along the doorway outside the MBR; seemed to help a lot. A mattress pad and better pillows would be big improvements in that MBR. We’re also glad we didn’t end up needing the 4th BR, as it’s really the closet in the MBR with a bed in it, not an additional bedroom. And the 1/2 bath is outside off the laundry room, again with no tp. We didn’t find it for a few days, lol.Overall a nice house in a safe neighborhood. We’re grateful to the owners for sharing it on VRBO!

Host was welcoming.The house and amenities were in terrible condition. Pool water was fouled with green contamination and filter system was broken. Tile around pool perimeter was broken.The lawn was literally about 12 inches high and not mowed for first 2 weeks of our 4 week stay. House exterior walls were stained with streaks of rust. Locks and door hardware were pitted and corroded.Garage was unusable - we had to park on front lawn.Metal porch furniture was rusted. One lounge chair had broken webbing. White plastic grill work screen had fallen away from cottage wall. Storage shed doorway was boarded up with sheets of plywood.Cottage air conditioner was rusted.Interior amenities were broken and shabby. Dining room chair was broken. Large wall clock was broken and falling apart. Unable to get any Major TV Network station on any TV set in house.Refrigerator's plastic shipping wrap was still left on refrigerator.White paint splattered on front entrance stone floor.

Wonderful House in St. Croix!

The property was very nice in a very safe and beautiful area of St. Croix. Greg was extremely helpful from start to finish answering questions and making sure we felt at home during our stay. The pool was very clean and well maintained as was the rest of the house. The covered back patio was such a bonus and we enjoyed it in the mornings and evenings. We met some of the neighbors during our stay and they were welcoming and pleasant as well. I would highly recommend this property in Judith's Fancy.

Great Stay!

House was nice and clean. Air conditioner didn't work in one of the bedrooms though, but the breeze seemed to be fine for the guest in that room. Great safe location. Street is nice for jogging or walks. Host was really nice and on site and also gave us our privacy. Had to buy own dish soap and extra toilet paper which was odd but fine so maybe check the house before headed to grocery store. Would stay here again!

Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood.

Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood, can hear and see the waves from the house. Very little traffic during the day, but it is going slow because of speed bumps on the roads. This is a gated community , felt very safe. The home is laid out nice, good room sizes , master bedroom is large with access to the pool . Really like the pool area, nice for afternoon sun and if you wanted out of the sun, you can sit under a roofed area that is built onto the home. This area had 2 nice outdoor chairs, a couch and a picnic table with 6 chairs. There is also a half bath near the pool so no need to enter the home if wet from swimming. The second day we were there the power flickered and Gregg, the homes care taker, called the power company right away and it was fixed before noon. The ground wire from transformer worked loose on power pole most likely from lines being replaced in a rush after the hurricane 18 months before. The home has air conditioning in the bed rooms but we never needed to used it , weather was 82 degrees during day and cooled to 73 degrees at night and the ocean breezes every day keep it comfortable. We all really enjoyed our stay. We had up to 5 people staying in the house and we had ample room for all. Would recommend ,it a great place to stay .

Best Vacation House

We had an amazing time in St Croix. Big thanks to Greg Capen. Greg was very accommodating and helpful. This house was incredible.Very roomy and AC in each bedroom. The pool outback was clean and wonderful. The patio was perfect for meals outdoors in the beautiful Caribbean weather. The place has an awesome view. We could hear the waves as we fell asleep at night. It is also very close to the beach access in Judith's Fancy. Great location on the island - easy to access everywhere we wanted to go. All in all great house and very helpful caretaker.

Fantastic - The Woods Family

From Beginning to end, our stay at Coral Reef Beach House was simply fantastic. Mel and Greg made sure to contact us before our trip to make sure that everything was perfect from the time we landed to the day we left. They were such a great souce of information. The property was wonderful, and the home was, well, It was like being home away from home, except we spent it in paradise. From the short walk to the beach, to the sound of the surf at nights, it was nothing short of perfect. Well, perfection would be if we never had to leave. We would definitely suggest to anyone, please visit, and spend some time at the Coral Reef Beach House. We have already marked our calendars for next year.

A great place for a family get together!

We had a wonderful time staying here for my cousin's wedding. We hosted the reception here and Mel & Greg were absolutely fabulous! They helped us clean up, provided a tent and extension cords, and were always reachable if we needed anything. The pool was amazing and my six year old daughter loved the kid room off the master bedroom. There was 6 of us staying there and we hosted the wedding for 55 people. We'll be staying here every time we visit stx!

Wonderful location

wonderful house!

We stayed just over a week at the Coral Reef Beach House and had a wonderful time. We traveled with another family, so there were four adults and three kids total, and this property was perfect for us. The house was beautiful and well equipped with a full kitchen, large living and dining areas, excellent outdoor spaces, laundry room, and comfortable bedrooms. The pool was perfect for the kids, everyone swam in it at least twice a day! The location was great, just 15-20 minutes outside of Christiansted and about 30 minutes away from Fredericksted. You will need to rent a car, but it's easy to navigate the island and we were able to easily drive everywhere from the house as a home-base. It's a gated community, which can provide peace of mind (though the whole island felt very safe to me). The beach is right across the street, though unfortunately it is too rocky to swim at. It was great for ocean breezes in the evening though! Mel and Greg were fantastic hosts and property managers. Their cottage is right next door, and they were always happy to answer questions and help us figure out our plans. One member of our party even took a SCUBA lesson with them and loved it! We had one slight issue with the water pump while we were there, and it was resolved immediately and to our satisfaction. In short, this was the perfect space for our two families to share while we explored the island! I highly recommend it.

My family spent 5 very comfortable and safe days at Coral Reef Beach House. We appreciated the property was gated and could relax. We recommend this location to any group who wish to vacation in a comfortable, relax and safe environment. The managers of the property was also amazing, friendly and caring folks. Wonderful house! Wonderful managers!

This was a wonderful house for a dive trip. The managers are so helpful and knowledgeable about the area that you feel like a local. The property and home were beautiful! We will be coming back to this home in the future for certain! I really recommend this rental for anyone going to St. Croix. You will be well taken care of for your vacation!

Great house and managers!!!

I led a group of six people on a scuba diving trip and we used this house for our time spent above water. What a great choice, the house was perfect. The managers were incredibly helpful, they even met us at the airport! They helped us with dinner plans, directions, dive locations and shops. Even when we had a problem with the rental van, helped us get it resolved. The property was beautiful, the house was amazing and in a perfectly central location on the island. It wasn't more than thirty minutes to anywhere we wanted to go. Our group had one non-diver and Melinda, one of the managers, took that person shopping and sight seeing while everyone else was diving. This is one of the best managed houses I have ever used. We will be going back to this property again and again. We will also recommend this rental to everyone going to St.Croix regardless of what you're planning on doing for your vacation.

Doug and Mary are from Sparks, Nevada has been coming to St. Croix for the excellent diving and knew that they wanted to buy a vacation property here so they could have an excuse to get to the island more often.

Doug and Mary purchased Coral Reef Beach House after looking at a number of other properties. They knew right off this was a great house. It is beautiful, comfortable and the cool ocean breezes and sounds of the waves are priceless. The central location on the north side of the island makes it so easy to get to North Shore beaches or Christiansted. The property is an acre lot with a pool, large grass yard for children to play, and adults to play lawn games. The roads are safe for walking and jogging through Judith's Fancy and admiring the gorgeous ocean views.
