I came from out-of-town to check out colleges with my teenage son & young daughter. The location was perfect - easy to get in & out of the city & literally across the street from a beautiful, clean & uncrowded beach. A five minute drive away was another gorgeous beach with tide pools & a forest trails. Down the road was a wonderful coffee/bake shop & a decent sandwich shop as well. In addition to the location, Richard was easy to work with & very communicative. The house itself has what you need - just make sure you bring your own toiletries. Plenty of towels, bedding, etc. & the kitchen has the appliances & kitchenware you need (toaster, blender, etc.) for a longer stay. Would stay again!

Beautiful beach house.

Love the view. location is fantastic. With hiking trails behind you and the beach in front of you if you like nature and a beautiful comfortable home, this is the place with bathrooms in all the bedrooms with an extra half bath upstairs. Excellent for three couples. Hope to be back sooner than later.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Montara. It was close enough to Half Moon Bay for shopping and restaurants, and even closer to the beautiful beach. The home was immaculate and was well equipped with toaster, blender, etc. We had a great time.

Great house with everything we needed included, in quiet area with really nice view of ocean, beach is just a short walk across street. Short drive from many restaurants and easy access to drive to SF or bay areas. The owner was very responsive. I'd recommend it for family or friend trips

We had a great trip and we were treated to a show of whales!! The roof top deck was awesome for whale watching. When it was cool outside you can just sit on the couch and look at the waves and the ocean! I would highly recommend staying here!!

Great view of the crashing surf and right across the street from the beach. All en-suite bathrooms with lovely cabinets and sinks. Nice kitchen that is fairly well stocked. Firm beds but very thin bedding. Perfect place to enjoy the beach, go biking along the trails in Half Moon bay and many great restaurants.

Location was beautiful and house was large and clean. The kitchen and bathrooms are minimally stocked but I had read that in previous reviews so it wasn't a surprise. The white couches in the living room and the carpets are a bit stained but the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean.

Nice place near the beach

Property was great! Nice place to stay with family. Very clean. Lots of space. Literally just across the beach with an awesome view. Had to deal with some beach traffic on the weekend but otherwise easy to get to and from San Francisco or San Mateo. Would stay here again.

This house was built as a getaway from hectic city life, while still remaining in close proximity to the city. Peaceful and relaxing, it is exactly what we needed whenever we wanted a break. Our family agrees on one thing: total relaxation when you're watching the waves from the comfort of the house.
