A 25-minute drive on the Famous Scenic Peak to Peak Highway (Simply Beautiful) will take you to Black Hawk, CO, a Booming Casino Town with a deep history in Mining and now converted to a state of the art gambling and casino town that rival any Casinos in the US.

The home is located in a neighborhood which has a noise ordinance and leash law in effect. The mountain communities have spectacular night sky views as well, and we request that lighting, noise and leash laws be respected for neighbors. The driveway is maintained by a 3rd party when there is 4" or more of snowfall. Snow removal is the responsibility of the guest on the back patio.

Thanksgiving Mountain Wedding

We booked a 1 week stay over Thanksgiving for a small family wedding. The house was very clean with beautiful views of the mountains. The check-in process was very easy and the in-home guidebook made for a great resource! One thing that was an oversight on our part is that there is no access to the garage, however the covered carport protected our vehicles nicely. Overall, it was a great house and the hosts were very easy to work with! The amazing views and massive windows were an added bonus! We would definitely recommend this VRBO to other families!

For the most part, it was an ideal stay

Overall, I would consider booking again. There is no doubt the place was beautiful, not just the scenery alone, but the building itself was gorgeous inside and outside. From the moment you walk in, the place was breathtaking. The contact person, Tracy, was responsive to the call we made on the first day regarding issues that were broken. We did have four issues. Yes, wifi is provided, but it is satellite internet which we tested was about 10MBs down. To be fair, you cannot expect perfect WIFI in the location that you were in. One netflix movie going in the living room was fine. But add anything else to the mix and you will be going at a crawl. Some of the items were broken when we arrived: The outdoor grill did not ignite and required the use of a lighter. The ice machine did not work, but ice was provided in the freezer in a bag. The locks on the external doors are very annoying to operate. Did we figure out how to use them? Yes, with the help of the binder that provided decent instructions and why they are used (for the elements). Was it still very annoying? Yes. Finally, the cleaning requirements. They had a binder that requested certain things be done which I believe were not standard. For example, they asked us to do one load of towel laundry before we leave. Why? Is that not part of the cleaning fee? Overall, I would come and book here again. I would research first at better options, but this would place I'd still consider!

Great views and comfortable environment with living room and deck. Layout allow for the bridal party to separate for many hours with hairdresser and make up teams for the women.

Our property was featured on Discovery Channel for our Outdoor Patio Bar with a 1941 restored Flexble Bus (like in the movie RV)!

What makes this property unique

At an elevation of 8500, Caribou Ridge is literally a "donut hole" surrounded by Open space and national forrest with established and marked trails for hiking, biking, horses, 4X4 and endless mountain activities. A cool retreat from warmer summer temperatures while also only minutes to NEDERLAND AND 22 MINUTES TO BOULDER. Eldora Ski Resort is 12 minutes away for winter sports. At 8500 the altitude is still very comfortable for any age and active lifestyle choice. Caribou Ridge also enjoys a deep history due to its history with Caribou Ranch (a famous rock & roll music studio worth reading about) and the rich Mining history. The trail system is unlike anything else in Boulder County. Trails literally link to the property, and given we are among the aspen and evergreen trees, this makes these the most beautiful trails in Colorado! All trails are marked and monitored by Boulder County rangers so they are clean, safe and simply amazing! Mountain biking, hiking, horses, and even 4x4 ATV trails are open and connected to our property alleviating the need to drive to trail heads. JUST OPEN THE DOOR! The Great Outdoors defines this property. tame Wildlife also stands out. See Elk, Moose, and Deer daily. For nighttime entertainment, we have remarkable access to Downtown Boulder, Blackhawk and Central City Casino's (20 minutes), 5 Star Restaurants, Estes Park, The Scenic Peak to Peak Highway, Rock Climbing, Live Music and so much ; all wrapped into a Luxury Home that sits on the Ridge Overlooking the Pristine Continental Divide. It's a true resort experience while still Private, Pristine and Peaceful.
