Luxury Large Ski Chalet, Grand Massif, France

Chalet Teresa is a large, modern ski chalet in Samoens, a beautiful French village in the Alps. This resort is part of the Grand Massif ski area with links to Flaine, Moriillon, Les Carroz and Sixt.

The chalet has five bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms, a large living area with a roaring fire and flat screen TV, a dining table that sits fourteen, a fully kitted out kitchen and laundry room.

In the summer, the chalet also boasts a private, sun-drenched swimming pool with beautiful views of the mountain range (July to August only).

It’s just a short walk down the hill to the village where you’ll find a number of brilliant restaurants, cafĂ©s and bars. And, if your muscles are aching after a day of bombing down the mountain, there’s also a spa (or two) available as well.

Free wifi is, of course, provided. And the free ski shuttle bus leaves from the road below the chalet, approximately 5 minutes walk away. We can give you an exclusive discount code to use with Extreme Gliss, which has excellent equipment and is positioned next to the Grand Massive.

If you’re not here for the snow, then there’s plenty of activities to enjoy in the summer, too. Try your hand at white water rafting, paragliding, hill walking, cycling and even climbing.

Chalet Teresa is all-weather, year-round chalet that’s perfect for large groups and families. We have a new manager this year, Agnes who lives close to the chalet. - she's had excellent feedback from guests

Le luxe est d’avoir chacun sa salle de bain . La literie est excellente . Le chalet est trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ© et est Ă  5’ Ă  pied du vieux centre de Samoens . Un grand champ mitoyen permet des parties de luge post ski. Un Gand merci pour toutes les petites attentions savoyardes en cadeau Ă  notre arrivĂ©e .

Facturation abusive et injustifiée de frais

À notre arrivĂ©e, la maison n’était pas propre. Le monsieur qui nous a accueilli n’était pas motivĂ© pour enlever la couverture de la piscine. AprĂšs insistance, il l’a fait et nous comprenons pourquoi : Le fonds de la piscine Ă©tait juste noir de saletĂ©. Il a dit comme pour les locataires prĂ©cĂ©dents que c’était l’orage. AprĂšs plusieurs messages texto et tĂ©l, une personne est venue la veille de notre dĂ©part pour la nettoyer. Mais le pire est surtout qu’ils nous ont pris de l’argent avec une raison totalement injustifiĂ©e et sans mĂȘme nous prĂ©venir. Aucun Ă©tat des lieux n’a Ă©tĂ© fait Ă  l’arrivĂ©e. Pour le dĂ©part, j’ai demandĂ© que la gestionnaire de la villa, Corinne, vienne la veille en fin d’am oĂč le matin mĂȘme. Le rdv a Ă©tĂ© fixĂ© Ă  7h du matin. Nous avons attendu 20 mn (avec 6 enfants). J’ai fini par l’appeler et j’ai dĂ» la rĂ©veiller ! Elle m’a dit qu’elle ne serait pas Ă  l’heure au Rdv et de laisser les clĂ©s Ă  un emplacement. Je lui ai dit que tout s’était bien passĂ©, pas mĂȘme un verre cassĂ©. 2 jours aprĂšs nous avons reçu un mail d’Abritel qui nous informait qu’il allait nous dĂ©bitĂ© 288€ pour un lit cassĂ© et la couverture de la piscine abĂźmĂ©e, ce qui est totalement faux. Nous sommes trĂšs soigneux et respectueux des gens et des choses. Si nous avions abĂźmĂ© quelque chose, nous aurions bien sĂ»r informĂ©e Corinne. J’ai essayĂ© de la joindre, aprĂšs cette trĂšs mauvaise surprise pour comprendre son comportement et ses agissements. Elle n’a jamais eu la dĂ©cence de me rappeler aprĂšs plusieurs messages.

Nous avons passĂ© un trĂšs agreable sĂ©jour dans ce spacieux chalet ! A deux pas du centre de SamoĂ«ns... Petit bemol pour l'exterieur (terrasse tres abĂźmĂ©e et pas de sĂ©curitĂ© pour la piscine) mais il me semble que les travaux sont pour bientĂŽt 😉 Et par contre gros gros point positif la piscine est vraiment chauffĂ©e et ca c'est tres agrĂ©able (meme pour les frileux)

Intérieur spacieux et agréable mais quelques mauvaises surprises.

ImpossibilitĂ© de descendre avec les voitures jusqu'Ă  la maison, compliquĂ© pour les bagages, les courses et avec un bĂ©bĂ©. Un frigo tombĂ© en panne la veille de notre arrivĂ©e et celui de remplacement Ă  eu du mal Ă  ĂȘtre frais (10 degrĂ©s pendant plusieurs jours) et du coup pas de congĂ©lateur en plein Ă©tĂ©. Une piscine froide et sale a notre arrivĂ©e , on nous explique que c'est suite aux orages de la semaine prĂ©cĂ©dente. Le service de nettoyage est venu rapidement. Et heureusement car il y avait une souris qui bouchait le filtre. Le chalet est trĂšs bien situĂ©, trĂšs agrĂ©able les 5 salles de bains et les 5 chambres , plus le grand salon. Mais nous avons rencontrĂ© beaucoup de problĂšmes au cours de notre sĂ©jour. Et il manque avec 4 enfants en bas Ăąge un systĂšme de sĂ©curitĂ© dans la piscine. Il y a plusieurs endroits abĂźmĂ© sur la terrasse (trous), et des dalles au bord de la piscine qui bougent pouvant ĂȘtre dangereux. Dans l'annonce la description de l'espace extĂ©rieur n'est pas trĂšs clair. (Pas de jardin et une petite terrasse )

Belle prestation

Chalet trÚs agréable, bien placé, bien équipé, propre, spacieux. Petite piscine extérieure bien appréciable. Accueil sympathique. Seuls bémols, le chemin d'accÚs direct n'est pas pratique, en descente et défoncé, et il manque des places de stationnement. A conseiller.

I live in Glasgow and have had a varied career that started as a University Lecturer and included being a Director of a football club.

Why they chose this property

This property is great for families and groups. The bedrooms are comfortable an ll en suite. I built it so that I could enjoy holidays with my children and grand children - we all just about fit! We started coming to Samoens in 1999 and we love the Village. The ski area is much bigger and challenging than you might expect and its much cheaper than the other large resorts (compare the passes with the near by Portes du Soleil). We go in Summer and Winter. My daughter's favourite area is Gers which has challenging skiing in Witner and a beautiful walk in Summer.

What makes this property unique

The views from the chalet are beautiful in summer and winter. There is easy access to the slopes and to the village. Its only a short walk to the nearest bar, restaurant and bakery. There is a large supermarket just outside the village.
We find the en suite bedrooms work really well for guests. While we love the village, the chalet is so comfortable that we have to make ourselves leave!
