Very sweet couple who owns the property. Communicative and very friendly. Perfect location for day trips to local vineyards and breweries. Will definitely be back
This space was very comfortable for a family of 3 and our dogs. It’s located on a quiet road and across the field to a huge brewery with outdoor activity and a playground for kids.
Our host was pleasant and accommodating. Glad we found this jewel.
Absolutely delightful stay in a lovely, cozy, comfortable place. The hosts were very warm and welcoming and check-in and out were incredibly easy. The apartment had everything we needed, and they provided a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, and coffee cake. We had planned ahead with our own breakfasts, so we didn't partake, but it was a very hospitable gesture. (We did drink the wine!). They were ready to offer suggestions for meals and attractions. The neighborhood was very peaceful, and it's close to a brewery/distillery and a winery. Cannot recommend highly enough!
I can’t say enough about how thoughtful the owners are and how comfortable they made our stay. From the time we checked in, they made sure we were at ease, but without being at all intrusive.
The space was very clean, stocked with everything we needed, and had 100% reliable wifi. It’s on the lower level of the house (it’s a lot more spacious than it looks in the pictures), but we hardly knew anyone was above us.
There were lawn chairs, a hammock, a picnic table, and a charcoal grill outside, and on many evenings we enjoyed sitting out there, sipping wine and watching/listening to nature. Bliss!
We were less than a 10-minute drive from several great restaurants, but far enough away from town to feel like it was true relaxing country stay.
Highly recommend for anyone. For us, it was ideal as a quiet, working getaway!

Very nice - we will definitely want to book there again!
Owners were unobtrusive but were there to help us move our stuff in and offer info about services available in the locale. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, and met all our needs.

Wonderful cozy apartment
We spent a wonderful weekend visit attending a relatives birthday party. This was our first experience with a weekend rental and it couldn't have been better. The apartment was exceptional and allowed us to relax and enjoy a quiet visit with my wife's uncle. The apartment was nicely stocked with amenities. It is a peaceful and inviting place to stay and we give it our recommendion. We are definitely planning another trip to the area and plan on staying here again.

Quiet, Convenient, Clean, Well-Stocked, Welcoming
My wife and I spent a long pre-Valentines weekend (Valentines Day was our 41st anniversary) at this rental. It is located on a more rural and less populated area, relative to the majority of Loudoun county--which is what made it appealing. We were greeted by Roberta when we arrived, soon followed by her husband Rich when he arrived home from work. They oriented us to the apartment and had a bottle of wine awaiting us to honor our anniversary, as well as breakfast goodies. They both were very welcoming!
The apartment was very clean and orderly, as well as comfortable. We prefer to fix most of our meals at a rental, and the kitchen was well stocked with the needed pots, pans, bowls and other cooking accessories necessary to prepare the food ingredients that we brought with us. We soon realized that there were no towels or dishtowels, but Richard immediately responded to our text and apologized for the accidental oversight.
Although Roberta and Richard live above the apartment, we did not hear their movements, voices, TV or music throughout our stay.
We both had lived in Loudoun county years ago and some of my wife's family still live there, so we weren't interested in too much sightseeing. The location was great for our needs, but would also be convenient for anyone wanting to see the county or take day trips to D.C., Harpers Ferry, Charles Town, or other area tourist areas. We spent considerable time each day within the apartment, as well as walking the minimally travelled road.
The only negatives were very minor: the shower stall was small, at least compared to our home shower space; the apartment entrance is on the opposite side of the house from the driveway, so it was a bit inconvenient to carry suitcases, boxes of food and frozen/cold items for meals, book bag and shoe bag into the apartment. This could be an issue for someone with limited mobility and no assistance with luggage, or during period of prolonged rain.
Despite these small negatives, we very much liked staying at the apartment. It is the best of 5 rentals in Loudoun county at which we have stayed. We therefore plan to stay there the next time we need a rental in Loudoun county.

Paradise!
Beautiful country setting , quiet and peaceful yet close to many historical sites and also Washington D.C. The apartment is spacious and well furnished and very comfortable. Having a washer and dryer is a plus! Host Robert made our stay all the more pleasant and provided great customer service. They gave us a tour of the apartment, instructed us on how everything worked and even supplied provisions for several breakfasts. Lovely outside sitting area with table , chairs, fire pit and comfy hammock. Definitely a great place to stay.

Everything we needed along with some peace and quiet.
Overall a peaceful and cozy place, which was a great alternative to a hotel room. We were within easy driving distance to many civil war attractions including Harpers Ferry, Sharpsburg, and if we had wanted to take the train to D.C. that would have been easy too.
The apartment had everything we needed to allow us to cook our own meals during our stay. The owners were there to meet us when we arrived and even stocked the fridge with breakfast essentials, which was a nice extra. The bed was comfortable, we both slept well. It was easy to make ourselves at home. The homeowners live upstairs but we hardly heard them at all.
We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this place to family/friends if they are traveling to the area.

Excellent - clean, spacious and comfortable.
We were very happy to have found this apartment. We stayed on a detour from C&O canal. It was lovely. Beautiful cycle to Brunswick on side roads, we went on to Harpers Ferry from there. We would love to go back, and spend more time in the area. There are nice restaurants and vineyards within cycling distance.
Excellent. The apartment was very clean. We were very glad of the washer and dryer, which meant that we could wash our cycle clothes each night, this made our saddle bags much smaller and lighter.
Our hosts were lovely and also very considerate of our needs. There were snacks and breakfast items that were perfect for us. We were sorry to have so little time to take advantage of the apartment itself.

A Fantastic Weekend!
Perfect place and perfect host! The apartment was very nicely decorated, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Our host was incredibly thoughtful and provided all sorts of extras for us that made our stay relaxing and enjoyable -- but she wasn't at all intrusive. We really enjoyed our get-away weekend and went biking on the C&O canal, visited Harper's Ferry, and went for a short hike. Cute dining options in town -- and wineries everywhere. A real country escape so close to the city.

Spring Break for the whole family, encluding the dog.
My family and I waited to the last minute to book a place. I was called back with in an hour after e-mailing. This place is in a quite naighborhood. My family and I wanted to see the DC sites. It was only about a 45min drive. We were greeted by the owners who showed us around. They were very friendly, and helped us with anything that was needed. They were so kind to even offer to take our dog out, while we were out for the day. They had muffins, orange juice, milk and a chocolate bar stocked in the fridge, just to make the day go a little smoother. My dog had the roam of the yard, in which she loved. I would recommend this place, if you just want to get away and relax, or if you want to go sight seeing. It feels like a your home away from home. Thanks again for allowing us to stay in your home. It was our plessure.

Valentine's Weekend Away
My boyfriend, myself, and our pup were looking for a quiet, cozy rental to celebrate a nice Valentine's weekend away from home. We came across the listing and loved how close it was to numerous wineries and restaurants, which was exactly what we wanted to do. We were greeted by the owners the moment we pulled into the driveway. They showed us around the apartment and even had a wonderful surprise of a bottle of wine, chocolates, muffins, coffee, orange juice, and milk awaiting our arrival. They were very welcoming and helpful with letting us know directions to wineries and places to hike. We absolutely loved staying with them and can't wait to come back this spring.
