Charming Country Cottage with garden - Breuil Barret

Located in the lovely countryside of the Vendée Bocage this attractive, traditional gîte is superbly situated being central to Puy du Fou and the Venise Verte - the beautiful Vendée beaches and Poitiers/Futuroscope.

The cottage comprises one double bedded room and one twin bedded room (low head height). The comfortable lounge-diner has a sofa, easy chairs, dining table & chairs, television, radio/CD/cassette player, games & books. The bathroom with a 'sabot' bath/shower and separate toilet with wash-hand basin. The Kitchen has gas cooker/oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, ample crockery, cutlery and cookware. (Service washes available). The cottage is attached to the main house but is completely independent and private. The kitchen opens straight onto the large level garden with table/chairs, sunloungers, barbeque - relax and watch the beautiful sunsets! Private off-road parking. Childrens' garden toys such as paddling pool & Little Tykes Cube available on request.

Cosy and Comfortable Cottage.

This cosy and comfortable cottage sits in an idyllic position surrounded by peaceful and attractive countryside. Nevertheless, there are several restaurants, shops and beautiful villages and towns all within a short drive of the property. (Coulon and Vouvant were some of our favourites). If you prefer to just relax outdoors on a warm, sunny afternoon or evening you will love the large and private garden. Chris and Pete are truly the most wonderful hosts, being genuinely friendly, helpful and informative. They freely offered many tips and good advice. In short we enjoyed ten wonderful days there and took away some lovely memories. Thank you Chris and Pete.

Magnifique gite qui fait très "cottage à l'anglaise", nous y étions 10j et nous étions sous le charme. C'est calme, y a pas mal de choses à voir aux alentours, notamment le Puy du Fou, la Venise Verte. Et cerise sur le gâteau, les propriétaires sont arrangeants et à l'écoute. Vous pouvez y aller tranquilles.

Un petit gite champêtre; joli comme tout; à la fois simple et plein de charme... Un contact et un accueil des hôtes Christine et Peter plein de gentillesse, de sourire et de bienveillance qui invite au bonheur. Une bien belle semaine de vacances à la fin de ce printemps dans ce petit nid de verdure où les roses grimpent à l'assaut des murs... une joie de découvrir cette région riche en histoire.

Most lovely place and hosts

We had a wonderful time at Christine and Peter's gite. We were very warmly welcomed and they always helped us when we needed something. (e.g. a car mechanic who saved our holiday...) everything was wonderfully clean and super equipped. A highlight is certainly the large garden with the great view over the surroundings. The weather was sunny and hot, and there were plenty of shady corners in the garden. It is also nice and cool in the beautiful old stone house. The surrounding area offers many interesting excursions to castles, monasteries, old villages, nature and the sea. If you don't mind hills, bring your bike and make exciting discoveries. The hosts have great tips. Christine and Peter are simply wonderful, mindful and warm people and the encounter was very valuable for us. We would come back anytime and hope that our future holiday plans will take us to Breuil-Barret again.

A beautiful, rural, peaceful location in a cosy little cottage

This cosy little gîte/cottage has everything you need for a peaceful relaxing break. We spent 10 days here using it as a base to travel the area. The lovely hosts Christine & Peter are so welcoming and on hand if you need anything but discreet if you don’t. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Sérénité et calme!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Christine et Péter, dans un endroit calme et apaisant. Nous avons profité de la région avec des visites quotidiennes. Le positionnement du gîte permet d’accéder à pas mal d’endroits touristiques. Bref, de vraies vacances et des hôtes très accueillants et disponibles !
