We experienced a great view at this location. We especially enjoyed the fireplace. During the early morning hours, we took a nice walk around the property and truly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed for 4 days.
Beautiful location and we were surprised it was better than described.
Awesome location and view.
Owner had provided everything we could need.
We really enjoyed the stay.
Thanks.
Very nice and spacious. Plenty of room for the family views were absolutely gorgeous. Loved hanging out in the hot tub everything you need and then some would definitely recommend this place.
What a beautiful place! This is my family’s second time to stay here and we had just as much fun as the first time. This year there was no snow but the sites were just as beautiful as we remembered.
Great home that is well reflected in the description and photos. All we needed was available and the location was serene. The kitchen was well stocked, all the amenities we needed were present, and the overall feel was relaxing and inviting. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed having access to that on several of our nights. I would highly recommend and will stay there again.
Far View Place had stunning views and easily accommodated our family! Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean (sounds silly, but we noticed especially how clean the floors were :)). Well appointed kitchen and beautiful artwork all around. The hot tub was perfectly placed for nighttime star gazing. The team at Red Cliff Properties was very easy to communicate with and helpful. Easy and pretty drive to get to our adventures in and around Durango. We would definitely return to Far View Place. Thank you for a great stay!
We had a great tine and the house was perfect! A great location away from it all!
I would think the driveway could be a challenge during weather but they do say you may need a 4x4. We loved it.
The view at Far View across the valley in the evening from the balcony porch was spectacular. The property was well maintain with only a couple minor issues as all houses have. Would absolutely book again and highly recommend for those who plan a vacation to the Durango area.

I wish we’d have been told that 4WD was necessary for this property’s driveway.
Beautiful views, really subpar driveway.

4 wheel drive is only required in winter months. All vehicles are able to access this home is summer months and we have had no other guests have prior issues.
I took my family... children and grandchildren t our yearly outing of the polar express and needed a place to stay. Absolutely loved it....enough bedrooms for privacy if needed and lots of room to gather...great hill for the grandchildren to sled and playing in the hot tub while snowing...also great views of the surrounding area...also appreciated the christmas tree which added to the excitment of the season.... would definately return...
If you're looking for a very quiet, remote area to stay that's about a 25 minute drive to Durango and then at least an hour's drive to Purgatory to ski - this is a good choice. During the winter and if it rains, you'll need 4 wheel drive to get up to the property. There are some updates needed to the property and I've sent those in a private message to the management company - nothing that's going to cancel your time there. There are several neighbors within 100 - 200 yards but you really can't see them and vice versa. Just be prepared for a dirty car (dirt roads and dirt drive) and have 4 wheel drive if it's raining or snowing to get to the property.

Loved it!!!
We had a woman’s family get away. We had a great time staying here. We came in really late and in the dark our first night to stay so driving in there back in the boondocks was interesting. The garage door code didn’t work from outside for us but we just parked our cars outside for us it wasn’t a big deal. The drive was beautiful in the daytime we never knew which way our gps was going to take us. I’m sure we traveled every way in and out of there possible. So if your staying here be prepared. We enjoyed the sauna very much that made it worth our stay alone. Sitting on the porch watching the sun come up drinking our coffee was so peaceful. The house is beautiful. Thank you so very much for sharing your home. We enjoyed it. There were a few minor things that were missed like cereal on the floor and I’m not real sure what was on the rug in the upstairs bathroom we cleaned it up and picked the cereal and wad of tinfoil up off the floor. All in all we had an amazing time staying here and will stay here again when our travels bring us back to Durango!!! Thanks again.

We are so glad you enjoyed the home. We will make sure our cleaner is aware of the items you found so they make sure to double check next time that everything is caught. We hope you visit again soon.
This property is well maintained, easy access and just beautiful views.
The Property Manager's are easy to speak with and very responsive. If I could give this a 10 star rating I would. A special thank you to the management company.
We had never visited Colorado much less stay in a cabin. But, this place has everything we could ask for and more. The views were spectacular and the cabin was a home away from home. We didn’t venture to the nearby cities too much. Instead, we took in the magnificent location, the surrounding peace and quiet, and the tranquility of nature. We loved every moment especially looking out the windows and seeing the roaming deer. This was a perfect get-a-way retreat for my family and the memories will last a lifetime.
This property was amazing. Beautiful views, very peaceful. All amenities you would want. Plenty of room for two families. A bit out of town from Durango but worth the drive!
This property exceeded our expectations; very clean, aptly described, no check-in surprises, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen stuff & puzzles/gameboards, the wrap-around porch gives panoramic views of mountains, evergreens, & occasional deer. Having 3 levels with an oversize two-car garage, hot tub, & sauna (although we only used the tub) with ample acreage to explore was nifty. The wi-fi was reliable, too. We all would like to come back & see if we can count more than the 58 deer we saw between Durango & our resort the last evening. a great time was had by all! :)
Loved the views! The hot tub was fine but seating was very awkward. The king bed was not comfortable. Having several bathrooms was a great bonus!
