Rustic ambience in the evening sun

This cute farmhouse gets the evening, rather than morning, sun - and we had very relaxing evening meals on the west facing patio. The pool is unheated except by the sun, so we only had a few short swims (in late September). There is a nice village square within walking distance, or a short drive, with a decent cafe/bakery. The farmhouse is in the small town of Cete, which is just a few kilometers from the excellent "A" (toll) road system in Portugal.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison entourée de grands arbres. Arie est un homme très sympathique, agréable, discret et très serviable. Le 1er jour, il nous a conduit avec sa voiture ds un restaurant pas très loin de la maison. Puis, tout au long du séjour il a été très gentil et à l'écoute avec nous. La maison, tout en pierre est très agréable avec son grand jardin et sa piscine il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un bon séjour. Merci encore à Arie

Superbe location et propriétaire très disponible

Très belle maison au calme avec tout le nécessaire très agréable telle que décrite dans l'annonce. La piscine était bien agréable, un plus incontestablement. Surtout, Arie a été un hôte remarquable, disponible et facilitant avec la mise à disposition du Wifi non prévu au contrat, et de plus à son détriment. C'est à souligner, et nous avons fait notre possible pour partager au mieux cet équipement. Un grand merci à lui pour tout! Le petit restaurant familiale Broa d'Avo à Cête est impeccable, les propriétaires serviables, la nourriture excellente et abondante, faut y aller pour moins de 30 euros pour quatre personnes tout compris ! A quelques kms de la maison, un Intermarché est ouvert tous les jours jusqu'à 22h même le dimanche, ce qui est bien arrangeant. N'hésitez pas à prendre le train pour Porto à partir de Cête pour 2.35 euros par personne et par trajet, c'est bien moins cher (péage, essence, parking) et stressant (circulation difficile en ville), qu'en voiture. Parmi les points d'intérêts la croisière 1 jour sur le Douro à partir de Porto avec petit déjeuner et déjeuner à bord, est un must.

De très bonnes vacances

La piscine est très agréable et rafraichissante, il a fait beau mais pas trop chaud (entre 25 et 30°), l'air est pur, la villa donne sur des vignes... un petit paradis. La mer à 40 minutes, la montagne pas loin (parc national de Peneda Gerês). On vous le recommande ! Et Arie est très sympa.

Maison très confortable, dans un cadre verdoyant, proche de nombreux lieux touristiques

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille, avec 3 enfants. Le logement est tout à fait adapté, spacieux, bien équipé et mignon (juste quelque soucis d'eau qu'Arie a vite réglé). La piscine naturelle a beaucoup de charme. A 5 mn de la gare de Cete, qui relie Porto en 40 mn (et pas cher 12euros AR pour 5 ! ). Non loin également d'Amarante, et de la vallée du Douro. Arie est vraiment un hôte exceptionnel et nous avons vraiment passé de belles vacances.

Piscine avec l'eau naturel est geniale. Joli restaurant pas loin si tu vas en voiture. Boulanger (café) a coté. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. A well equipped house and the fresh water pool was a delight. The views are lovely. Arie was a great host (don't forget to ask for directions). A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We'd love to come back!

Quiet house and nice garden

The house is totally renovated and well equipped. The garden is perfect to rest after travelling around and have a fresh jump in the "pool" during summer. Wi-fi perfectly working also outside. Parking just in front. Not easy to find: better to use google with coordinates and not adress. Arie is very nice and available. Porto is just 20 minutes away and surfing spots 30.
