This was the perfect place for our week of vacation with our grown daughters. The location and the town are incredible with stunning views, wonderful restaurants and markets, and great hiking and swimming. The house was exactly what we were looking for, especially the wonderful outdoor living spaces and the small pool. The hosts were very responsive and made sure everything was seamless.

Gorgeous and Comfortable

Perfect home for our group - two families with adult kids - of 9 people. The house was very comfortable. The views fantastic. Just a wonderful relaxing stay.

Spectacular views & so much space

We loved our stay here! Renting the whole space and pool house was just wonderful. The yard overlooking the sea really gave us a feeling of grandeur. Plenary of dishes and chairs for a nice size group.

Perfect

The villa is amazing. So many areas to enjoy together and plenty of privacy. A gorgeous setting and view of the sea and town, plus the national park is all around you. We spent more time at the villa than we had planned just because it was so lovely.

Family holiday in Cassis

It exceeded our expectations. Well equipped and lots of space to play together, to chill, and eat.A strenuous walk into and back from town but not too much. Our hosts were helpful but not intrusive and it was a great base for local exploring plus visits by train to Marseille and by car to Aix. We had a lovely, three generation holiday.

Wonderful Villa

My family stayed here for 3 weeks, and would have been happy to stay 3 more! This Villa has a perfect layout, very well equipped, with a picturesque setting. You will never tire of the beautiful views of the mountains & sea. It is only 1 mile from a quaint town with lots of activity. We will be back!

Lovely Property / Beautiful Views

This place is quite lovely and a short drive from Cap Canneilles -(sp?). Stunning from from property and from the Cap. Only issue - privat pool on property is very small. There’s a larger more public pool but it was out of service for most of the time we were there.

Can't wait to go back!

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Pierre's villa in Cassis. The setting was beautiful and the villa was so accommodating it was hard to leave and go exploring! We were able to relax, swim, play tennis within the villa community as well as access local beaches and downtown Cassis extremely easily. The air conditioning in the bedrooms and main living area were incredible! And, the property manager, Pascal, was responsive and kind.

Magnificent Property

What a beautiful villa to enjoy the sunsets as pictures do not do it justice. Plenty of room with many different ares to relax and enjoy the view. 20 minute walk for those who enjoy a challenge, otherwise, 5 minute drive to charming town with lots of restaurants, shopping. Host responded immediately to any questions, concerns.

Great location and Property

We all enjoyed ourselves at the place. It was as described. would stay there again. Only issue, WIFI in the main house, never worked. We never got a reply from host on getting it to work. Only the WIFI in the pool house worked.

Beautiful and comfortable. Excellent stay.

Plenty of space for the 9 of us to spread out. Abundant equipment. Magnificent view. All that we expected. Kitchen a little small as well as the swimming pool. Town and beach not really accessible on foot; not an issue in mid-june but maybe more of a problem at top of the season.

A lovely property in need of some Love

This is a lovely property with a fantastic view. It is a 25 minute walk from Cassis port (but watch out for the last 300m which is a steep hill!). That being said, the view makes the climb worthwhile. The property suits 6-8 adults with perhaps some children also. The house and grounds are reasonably maintained but in need of some attention/investment in certain areas.

Family holiday

A beautiful home with wonderful views over Cassis. We were a large family group of mixed ages, the youngest was 11 years old. For families with younger children the uphill walk from the village would be more of a challenge but taxis were relatively easy to access. The walk to and from the village took around 20-30 mins. The villa itself was beautiful, well laid out with plenty of outdoor and indoor space, the pool at the villa was big enough for us but the older children also spent a little time at the larger local pool. A great host and support to us from booking to check in and check out services. Many Thanks from us all.

We traveled as a family of 7 to the South of France choosing a VRBO in Cassis. The view was amazing! The villa was big enough for all of us to have our own space! Everything seemed to be in working order. The villa offered a concierge. Stephanie and her son Ugo were just lovely! Ugo met us at the villa upon arrival and showed everything to us, Stephanie had made a grocery run so our fridge was stocked with the items I requested. The villa”s location was perfect as we were centrally located. We found it easy to travel around by car and see Lots of villages big and small! . Great having such an awesome home base! We had stayed at the house for two weeks. The villa located in a gated community approximately 10 min drive from the center of Cassis and about the same distance from the beach. The house has stunning views of the sea and the mountains. The neighborhood is safe, peaceful and quiet. There are three refrigerators, a washer and a dryer, gas grill and a pool (hot-tub size) on the property. Almost all rooms have air conditioning, which was such a great feature. Plenty of seating area inside and outside for big groups, plus three parking spaces. We also had access to the big pool and a tennis court on the communal grounds. There are many great restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores and coffee shops in the area. However, the house is in a tired and worn condition and in an urgent need of repairs/renovation. It really needs to be painted and deep-cleaned all over. The faucet in a master bedroom is very inconvenient to use. They either need to change it or reinstall the mirror. There were ants inside, which is not what you would expect from a "luxury" place. The internet connection was not very reliable, so we had to purchase a local mobile modem. Also, in all other places we stayed in France, Italy, Portugal and Spain over the years, the price always included a weekly cleaning and a change of bed linens. Not here, unfortunately. It is a great property. It just needs some love and care.

Villa Cassis domaine de la Grande Bastide

Magnifique villa avec beaucoup d'espace intérieur et extérieur et une vue exceptionnelle sur la baie de Cassis. Chambres bien équipées avec avec sanitaires intégrés ou proches. Piscine et Pool house apportent un plus au charme de cette villa. Villa tout à fait adaptée pour une famille nombreuse.
