Nestled at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains the Cozy Bear is located in the Sky Harbor Resort, just minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Private Tree House like setting wraps you in nature and maximum comfort during your stay. Explore the Great Smoky Mountains, hiking, zip-lining, horseback & helicopter rides, skiing, fly fishing, white water rafting, the local artist community or stay in for some serious R&R. Regardless of where your daily activities take you, return to the cabin and grill some steaks, shoot a game of pool while enjoying the wooded mountain views and wildlife from the hot tub or inside whirlpool tub. This is an active bear area, where bear are literally outside your door. Spacious Great Room design offers first floor living (no stairs) with a roaring 2 sided gas fire place visible from the great room and master King suite. Open the doors from the great room or master suite to the spacious patio with swinging bench, bistro set and hot tub. Fully equipped kitchen lets you cook up a meal while never missing the beautiful view. The Cozy Bear offers all your needs: flat screen TV's, internet, pool table & Egyptian cotton bedding all wrapped in cozy comfort. Cabin was just like pictured - very nice and clean. Hot tub was wonderful! Easy access to the park and close to Pigeon Forge for supplies. The road to cabin is pretty steep, but no problems in good weather! Bed is super comfy as well. Would stay here again.

This cabin in a nice quiet area away from the business of the town. The roads getting there take a little getting used to. It was very clean and comfortable. The host communicated very well with us. It had a nice clean hot tub and washer and dryer. Pool table was fun too.

We wanted a cabin that offered total privacy, with little to NO neighbors nearby, hence reason we the purchased the Cozy Bear! We love the Gatlinburg area and can be spotted around town shopping at the local artisan community, tipping a cold one at some of our favorite establishments or hiking the trails of Mt. LeConte. While we fell in love with the area for all it's offerings, and what we enjoy more than anything is the peace and serenity that this cabin provides. During the day "we could be anywhere in the world", but rest assured, we are at the cabin nightly having cocktails on deck by 5 p.m. listening to the creatures in the heavily wooded surroundings! This was bought for simple R&R of which we hope you'll also discover how sweet this cabin is!

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property after several years of renting cabins in the area. After renting countless cabins and never quite knowing what we would "get" with each rental, we decided to buy a cabin that offers all the luxury we expect when staying in the Smokys. The Cozy Bear is a private secluded retreat that's just over 10 minutes from stop light #1 in Gatlinburg, with a majority of the trip navigating the winding roads up and down the mountain.
