The cabin was great! Loved the fenced yard for our dogs. They are older and tend to need to go out frequently so it was nice to be able just sit a rocker and let them relax. The cabin had everything we needed. Nice quiet location but close enough to town. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a busy day. TY!
We greatly enjoyed our recent stay at "Bare Hugs". The cabin was beautifully furnished, thoughtfully equipped and stocked....realistically, we could have been quite comfortable just bringing our clothes and food. We'll know for next time. The cabin was also very pet friendly...our dog spent most of his time sitting out on the front porch, or running around in the enclosed back yard. We did some barbequing on the gas grill, and, because it was somewhat colder during this time, the Hot Tub and wood Fireplace were very nice during the evenings. This being said, the Owners, Duke and Linda, were very nice, and promptly addressed any concerns that we may have had. If we travel in this area again (15-30 minutes from Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg, and GSMNP), we would absolutely consider staying at "Bare Hugs" again.
We go each year to pigeon Forge area and have rented numerous cabins and we have to say this is our favorite!! Close to all attractions and a great place to just rest up!!
The moment we walked through the door it felt like home away from home. It was very clean and smelt amazing. Our dogs loved the front porch and the front yard. The location is great. It took minutes to get to the Parkway and it was also very convenient to get to Cade’s Cove (which we went every day). We will definitely be back to this cabin for our yearly trip!
Duke and Linda were wonderful and so helpful! The cabin is beautiful and clean, and is nestled away for the perfect quiet getaway. We were especially grateful we could bring our dog, who really enjoyed running in the fenced in area. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!
The cabin is even prettier in person. Hot tub was awesome! All appliances work. Very clean. Nice dishes/cookware. Bed is extremely comfortable. All the furniture is. Cute enlosed area in back perfect for pets. Host wonderful. Very reasonably priced for what ya get. Prepare yourself for Tennessee hills and hollers. The drive can be challenging however they have tons to do nearby. We had a wonderful vacation there!

The cabin was cute and cozy. Everything was clean when we got there. The hot tub was wonderful to use! Also, Duke was great with communicating with us during our stay
We enjoyed our stay from the cabin itself to the location. Everything was clean, comfortable and convenient. If you forget your dogs water & food bowl like I did, no worries, they provide them for your sweet dog/dogs.
We spent Labor Day weekend at this charming cabin and loved it! The attention to detail was exceptional, and the little extras for our dog were much appreciated. The furniture and bed were very comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the hot tub was a highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cabin. It’s conveniently close to local attractions, but make sure to follow the host's directions, as GPS can be misleading.
This place was something we were looking forward to stay for a long time and just the fact we had so much fun enjoying the peacefulness of this cabin along with my family it’s just priceless.
Looking forward to stay again on this very same cabin.
The owners of this place very helpful and ready to assist us with any questions we had just an amazing experience.
Bear Hug cabin was adorable. Decorations were charming. Very clean. Would definitely recommend this cabin to any couple looking for a relaxing retreat.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean and comfortable. We all felt at home there including our dog Roxy. It was our second time staying and we will be back again.
Well kept, middle of woods but reasonably close to everything. Duke was right dont follow gps when close to cabin follow his instructions. Gps way was literally unpassable.
The cabin has a warm and homey feel from the first step through the door. The cabin is not totally secluded, but we could not hear the neighbors.
The cabin was well equipped bedding and towels.
Kitchen has plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils.
The location is woodsy to get the camping feel but within 10-15 minute drive to attractions, restaurants etc
I would definitely recommend anyone with a small party to check this home for your vacation needs
We absolutely loved our stay at Bare Hugs Cabin! We loved it so much that it was difficult leaving! The cabin is very peaceful, cozy, and put together so well! Duke and Linda were wonderful hosts! For our next vacation to the Smoky Mountains, we will definitely look to book again!
Great little cabin. Nice and quiet. Just what we were looking for. Great place for a family stay or couples retreat. Nice quiet mornings on the porch were the best. Just be ready for the rough drive to the cabin. It’s a rough “trail” to the cabin. Small cars may have trouble. Overall it was great though.
Our very first full family vacay with our fur babies. And it was everything we could have hoped for. They were able to run in the front and go out back on their own. They were a bit home sick but I know in their own way they enjoyed it as well as we did. They had everything we needed for not just ourselves but our fur babies as well and our children too.! Every moment was an awesome one! And definitely recommend and will be back shortly to book again.!
The cabin is exactly as described. Perfect getaway for two and extra bonus of being pet friendly let us bring our dog. The area is beautiful and the cabin is clean and well stocked with anything you could need. The owners were great with communications. Would highly recommend and definitely would return.
The owners were awesome, this is probably the best cabin we've been too. The furniture was comfortable, the bed was nice. The hot tub was amazing. Our weekend was cold but the cabin was very cozy. We'll definitely be back.
Perfect cabin for two! We were able to bring our 2 dogs. We loved everything about our stay! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin!

I visited Wears Valley from my home on the east coast over 15 years ago and fell in love with the area. I felt at home in the mountains and realized pretty quickly that I could have my dream life. I retired and relocated to Wears Valley and now own two cabins of my own that my wife and I would love to share with you..
Why they chose this property
This cabin has a wonderful, central location and charm. I loved the backyard where couples can bring their pet along on vacation and not have to worry about them and I loved the spacious front yard that creates privacy and a welcoming outdoor haven for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life.
What makes this property unique
A fenced yard in the back for your pet! The cabin is decorated beautifully and is cozy and close to Pigeon Forge. Love the real wood fireplace as well for romantic evenings.
