Wonderful stay

Morag and Vince were fantastic hosts and couldn’t do enough for us, always there to help if needed. Great property, location and hosts. Lots to do in the surrounding area and Saintes with its bakery near Hyper U is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely gîte

Comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Moray and Vincent are very welcoming hosts, and very helpful. A great base to travel around the area. I would strongly recommend this gîte.

Beautiful Gite in idyllic setting - the

A perfect retreat. Very comfortable Gite with excellent facilities. Very clean and well maintained. We used the wood burner each evening (logs provided) and it was so cosy it was like being home from home.

First Class

Excellent, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, The beds and sofa were comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful, while we were there the weather turned cold and the owners provided at no extra charge a good supply of firewood. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Fantastic home from home

This home was the 'pearl in the oyster'. A beautiful gite with fantastic grounds and equipped with everything a 'home from home' should be. The hosts Morag and Vince were fantastic always there to help make

Prima uitvalsbasis om de regio te verkennen

Het verblijf, het vrijstaande huisje, de gastvrijheid en ontvangst van de eigenaren waren goed. De locatie van het huis is ideaal om zowel de cognacstreek als de kuststreek (la Rochelle, Ile de Oleron) te ontdekken. Wat niet goed uit de beschikbare informatie blijkt is dat de buitenruimte - terras en tuin - tevens de voortuin van de eigenaren/bewoners van het hoofdhuis is. Niet helemaal privé dus, maar de spaarzame momenten van ontmoeting gaven geen overlast.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’m very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. With regard to your comments about the BBQ, terrace and gîte garden I was very surprised by these as it has never been commented on before. I would like to point out that the garden is very large, the BBQ and terrace directly in front of the gîte and substantial front garden set in the same grounds of the main property are solely for your use. I thought I had explained this. The only thing that is shared is the driveway. We have our own private garden at the rear of the main house thus providing our guests and ourselves complete privacy. As a host I do like to talk to my guests after their first night to check that everything is as it should be and that there are no problems. I also check with my guests the night before departure to confirm their departure time. If guests wish to engage with me they are more than welcome to, if not I leave them to relax and enjoy our beautiful peaceful surroundings.

Idyllisches Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem gemütlichen Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und das Gastgeberehepaar ist sehr nett. Die Lage ist für Ausflüge gut geeignet, es liegt direkt an einem Radweg. So konnten wir die Gegend gut erkundschaften. Auch das Kanu wurde uns zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Garten ist sehr großzügig, ein Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück steht zur Verfügung. Das Haus befindet sich auf dem Grundstück der Vermieter, das war sehr angenehm, da hierdurch die An-und Abreise sehr unkompliziert war. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Un agréable séjour à tous point de vue.

Gîte confortable, bien équipé, dans un beau jardin, au calme et en pleine campagne, et pas loin de découvertes surprenantes autour du jolie Port d'Envaux. Les Iles de Ré, d'Oléron, d'Aix ainsi que les villes côtières sont un peu plus éloignés, mais leur beauté justifient une journée d'excursion. Merci aux hôtes, charmants et discrets.

Erholung om Stress der Stadt

Wunderbar ruhig, auf einem großen, gepflegten Grundstück befindet sich das Ferienhaus. Hier kann man den Altagsstress vergessen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Der Charente Radweg "La Flow Velo" führt direkt am Haus vorbei. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Moral und Vince sind sehr umsichtige , hilfsbereite Gastgeber.

Mid March Stay

The property had everything we needed for the stay. We arrived late but Vincent and Morag had thoughtfully kept the log fire burning. We arrived to a lovely warm gite after that we expected to buy our own logs and as soon as the logs had gone they were replaced. There was a welcome basket and a few essentials so you did not have to rush out first thing. We enjoyed our stay in the quiet and peaceful surroundings with the bustle of Saintes 10 minutes away. Great location. Thank you Vincent and Morag.

Wonderful Gite

The Gite is very well equipped, comfortable and in an ideal location. The owners Morag & Vince were excellent hosts and made us very welcome. The little touches like a welcome basket make all the difference. Definitely somewhere we would book again.

Beau séjour au calme!

Nous avons passé une belle semaine de vacances. Le jardin est magnifique, les proprietaires très agréables et la maison bien équipée notamment la literie qui est très bonne. Il y a aussi beaucoup d'activités pour toute la famille pas loin du gite.

Nous recommandons sincèrement le gîte "Jacynthe des bois" où nous avons séjourné 1 semaine en famille en juillet 2020. Propreté irréprochable et équipement du gîte très complet. Petit panier d'accueil offert par la propriétaire. Morag et son époux sont des personnes charmantes et disponibles. La région est très belle et riche à visiter. Komfortables Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage

Unsere 3 Wochen Urlaub in diesem hübsch eingerichteten, geräumigen Ferienhaus haben wir sehr genossen. Bei Nachmittagssonne und einem Gläschen Rotwein lässt es sich auf der Terrasse schön entspannen oder man genießt die Ruhe auf der Gartenlounge. Mit dem Auto ist man in 10-15 Minuten in Saintes, wo es einen großen SuperU zum Einkaufen gibt. Auch sonst gibt es viel zu entdecken. Besonders schön fanden wir La Rochelle. Unsere Vermieter sind sehr nette und angenehme Menschen mit denen wir uns gerne unterhalten haben, auch wenn unser Englisch nur für den Urlaub reicht. Vielen Dank an Morag und Vince.
