Can Fave is a truly unique property: a private, secluded oasis in the middle of the historic and picturesque village of Fornalutx. The 300-year-old house has been renovated into a charming cottage-style home with several bedrooms and bathrooms. Enjoy a large private pool with magical views over the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, an outdoor kitchen with a grill and sink, and a large green garden with orange, lemon and fig trees.

The house faces south and west, so you have sun all day and a magical evening glow. There is free parking next to the property. The village square, with bars, restaurants, a pharmacy, a grocery store, a bakery and boutiques, is a 5-minute walk away, and the tennis court is about 100 meters from the house. The Mediterranean Sea and the beach in Puerto Soller are a 10-minute drive, and beautiful walking trails begin right outside the door. Can Fave is a favorite all year round!

Bedroom 1, en suite (upstairs, main house): King size bed (180 cm), air conditioning, ceiling fan and direct access to the swimming pool.

Bedroom 2, en suite (upstairs, main house): King size bed (180 cm), air conditioning and direct access to a private roof terrace.

Bedroom 3, en suite (Garden House): Queen size bed (160 cm) and a large ceiling fan. Newly renovated and very private.

Guest room with WC and wash basin (first floor, main house): Two single beds, fan, flat-screen TV, writing table and direct access to the garden.

Kitchen and living room:

A beautiful kitchen, dining and living room with two large ceiling fans and a wood-burning fireplace. It has direct access to the main entrance, the outdoor kitchen and the garden. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need: stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine, toaster, water boiler and more.

Garden and lounge terraces:

On the upper terrace you find the private swimming pool, 13 x 8 meters, with a large sun deck all around it. It is completely private, with fantastic views. Reach it by the stairs from the lower terrace or directly from the master bedroom.

On the ground terrace the Garden House sits among orange, lemon and fig trees. The outdoor kitchen has a grill, a sink and a large counter for cooking under the open sky. There is also a lovely outdoor dining area with romantic lighting for late dinners.

Children:

We love children and have three young children ourselves. Based on our own experience, we only accept guests traveling with infants and/or children aged 5 or over.

Children sleeping in a cot are welcome in addition to the 6 persons the house is allowed for. We have one baby cot to lend out, so please let us know in advance.

A family story since 1955:

Our family’s connection to Fornalutx goes back to 1955, when our grandmother moved here from Stockholm. Back then the village had no electricity and no roads for cars. Since 1976 the summers have been a family tradition, with the children, cousins and Majorcan friends growing up together in the narrow alleys. We still come back for the same things: the beautiful surroundings, the warm people of the village, the nearby beaches in Puerto Soller, the unrivalled mountain walks and the fabulous food at the local restaurants. It’s easy to get addicted to it!

Arriving late at night? No problem. The small supermarket in Fornalutx is open every day: Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 20:00, Sunday 08:00 to 13:00.
