The sunroom is spacious and bright, a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee and paper. The centrally located dining area offers seating for 6 guests. There is a large fenced-in backyard that's perfect for pets, or just to take in the beautiful Minnesota seasons and let the kids run free. The unit has free cable TV with HBO/Showtime and Hi-speed wireless internet. Both bedrooms have flat screen TV's / Cable and DVD players.

• No events! This home is designed for families and responsible adults. Restrictions include, but are not limited to: Weddings and wedding celebrations, bachelorette/bachelor gatherings, and reunions.
• Dogs only allowed with “Pet Friendly” listings. Please provide prior notice to Minnestay team if you plan to bring your pet. Pet fee required (fee dependent on dog count, starting at $150).
• Please note that you are staying in a private home and not a hotel. We expect that you will treat it with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to resolve them as quickly as we are able.

Great stay

The only complaint, I would have is, it said free parking, I took that to mean parking on the property, but there wasn’t. Other than that it was a great rental.

Great stay!

Good location....several good eateries nearby and downtown is a short drive. Lance was very helpful and his "local guide" book he personally assembled is very useful. We would stay here again.

Lots of character in a walkable neighborhood

The house was well appointed with everything we needed. The backyard was beautiful and cozy with comfortable patio furniture and string lights. We loved the walkable location as well.

Great Property, Excellent Host

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat was very clean and well appointed, lots of room to stretch out. Lance, the host, was very responsive and attentive to questions, often within minutes. Definitely recommend if in the Minneapolis area. Another plus, lots of shops and restaurants close by as well as access to I35W, great location in the city. Tom and Donna

Beautiful woodwork

Very nice home just a bit hard to get a close parking place if you get back after 6 or 7 pm. I think they should put curtains on bedroom window so daylight doesn’t wake you in the mornings. But overall a very nice place quiet neighbors. Barely saw them. Enjoyed our stay and visit with family.

Lance is terrific, great place, great neighborhood

We were very pleased with our stay. Lance is great to work with---professional, hospitable, helpful, and accomodating. The apartment was just as advertised and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. And the neighborhood is great as well---easy access to bike lanes, the lakes, the highway and loads of restaurants. I'd definitely stay with Lance again on a future trip to Minneapolis. Location, location, location!

What a terrific vrbo rental! We are regular vrbo users and regular visitors to Minneapolis, and Lance's place ranks among the best we've experienced. It had everything we could possibly want, and if there had been something additional we needed, Lance would have seen to it in a flash. He was the most attentive host we have ever had. A highlight was the bed It was more comfortable than home! Everything else went beyond our needs, like the complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us. The location is simply perfect. It turned out that 2 of our very favourite Minneapolis restaurants were each a block away! And a 20 minute walk takes you to Lake Calhoun, which then has a wonderful 3 mile walking/running/biking trail around the lake. Next time we will take up Lance's offer to rent his bikes. Thanks Lance!

Lovely place, but not without complications

We liked the home a lot and the place was clean and ready. Minnestay is the property manager, and they demanded separate credit information in advance, required pictures of our drivers license and credit card or they wouldn’t issue entry information. They even asked for it a second time after it had been provided. Then the combination to get into the property didnt work. It was an unhelpful extra layer. Lance, who appears to be the property owner, was very responsive, although he also appears to be Minnestay.The property seemed a bit overpriced for the market, and perhaps why it was available on short notice when most similar properties were unavailable.

Charming Vacation Get-away

My family and I looked at heading to Minneapolis for a NFL game. I was taken away by how expensive hotels were going to be, only because of the football game. So I looked down a different avenue, and that was vacation home rentals. Having never done this before, I cannot express how accommodating Lance was and made sure we had everything we could possibly think of. Upon arrival, we found the location to be ideal. There were several restaurants and shops within a block. It wasn't so close to downtown that you had to worry about all the hustle and bustle. Yet it was only a 5 minute drive away. We were still close to all the downtown activities. Now lets talk about the house itself. It was the most charming house, I fell in love with the historic character and original wood work. It was very spacious for the 4 of us. Plus it had a sunroom on the front that was used every morning! Lance had it fully furnished, making it ideal for any situation and group. It was incredibly clean and ready to go. Thank you Lance for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your rental home, I can't wait to come back to the Cities just to stay there again! I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Minneapolis area.

Amazing Home in a Perfect Location!

This beautiful home made our trip to Minneapolis such an enjoyable one. My daughter and I like to shop at the Mall of America on occasion and found this home to suit our needs extremely well. It is perfectly situated in the Uptown area with interstate access 2 blocks away. Ideally placed with a quick 10-minute drive to the "Mall" and also a 10-minute drive to downtown Minneapolis. The neighborhood is charming, safe, and quiet. There is a great local coffee-bakery shop 1/2 block from the house. I enjoyed my usual morning run all around the Uptown area and discovered many wonderful shops and homes. The home itself has been well cared for and the original woodwork, fixtures, flooring, and windows are in pristine condition. It is decorated perfectly and also with comfortable furniture. The updated kitchen has every convenience needed to prepare meals (although we didn't cook on this trip). The memory foam mattress in the master bedroom is extremely comfortable and felt like our Tempur-Pedic mattress at home. The front room was my favorite place to enjoy a cup of coffee every morning to watch the neighborhood awake and the sun come up. It is a delightful room where you could pass a great deal of time. My teenage daughter and her friend loved the abundance of DVD and TV channel choices after a long day of shopping. The outdoor sculpture park downtown by the art center was a wonderful way to soak in the spring sunshine and see the downtown skyline. We have rented homes from VRBO for the past 12 years both inside and outside the U.S. This home was exceptional! Most importantly, working with the owner was a pleasure. He was responsive to questions and very hospitable. I highly recommend this home.

This unit is the lower floor of a duplex with a shared basement and stairs that go right to your back door. That was not on the description and due to the age of the home the floorboards creaked, and voices carried from the upstairs guests all day and night. We left early. The company admitted they did not include that info on the description so were planning to adjust the writeup, but did not give us a refund. The place is clean however I would make sure you don't need quiet if you book here.

Family gathering for funeral

The close proximity to Lakewood cemetery was the reason we chose this house. It was perfect for our extended family to gather right after the ceremonies, being only about a mile away. It made it easy to keep folks together a bit before they traveled on. The rest of the days the 3 of us stayed were very comfortable and relaxing in this home. We loved having coffee in the front sun room in the morning.

Cute, comfy house/ sketchy area.

The home itself was cute, clean, spacious. The rules were simple and fair. Checking in and out was easy and hassle-free. Kitchen was well stocked. The only thing I missed having was a meat thermometer. The pictures to help with taking care of clean dishes was very helpful. I did find mold in the shower. Showering was awkward and difficult due to the shower head being located on the long side of the tub, and it was fixed to one position. We had to stagger showers in order to have enough hot water for all of us. I did have trouble feeling safe in the area. With pan- handlers on the same block, graffiti and litter all over, it felt a little more rough than I'm comfortable with. The doors with simple locks and what could have been easy enough access to the tenants in the other unit in the house.

Loved location…around the corner from our son and daughter-in-law. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for entertaining. We did have trouble with tv in living room. Uptown with character

Main floor flat was clean, comfortable with lots of character. Nice kitchen, furniture & fenced yard. I walked the dogs around the neighborhood every morning for our week stay. Check in was poor as they put our code on the upstairs flat door pad & I had to convince the office we were renting the main floor flat. She apologized & problem was resolved.
