About this property

Booking for 2026! At beach access with lifeguard!Fenced in yard & screened porch

This charming (non-smoking) 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage has a large fenced in backyard and screened in back porch for that early morning coffee or afternoon beverage. Backyard is sod grass with no briars! Great for small mature families, 3 couples and/or people with difficulty climbing many steps. NO PARTY GROUPS/ NO PETS ! No CHARGING ELECTRIC VEHICLES! Brand new modern kitchen that is fully equipped. New outdoor decks and wonderful living area for the entire family to gather. Outdoor grilling and picnic table are out back for a family crab boil! . Master bedroom has it's own private entrance to the screened porch so you don't disturb your guest if you rise early for that beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic. Large hammock that can be taken out back to soak up the sun! The outdoor shower is also connected to the screened porch so you don't have to go outside to get to it. Also, there is seating on the shaded front porch to kick back in the a.m. First house off beach road and beach access right at a lifeguard stand makes it easy to get to the sand! We are across the street from The Sea Ranch Resort.
We provide beach chairs and some toys for your beach trip. Bath linens and kitchen towels are provided. Kitchen staples are provided to get you started. Full size washer and dryer in laundry closet , clothesline out back and one on screened porch for all those wet suits and towels. YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN SHEETS AND BEACH TOWELS !! If you choose to use bath towels provided, you must allow enough time on checkout day to wash, dry and restock them on shelf before departure.
NO PETS ALLOWED however, there are some very nice boarding facilities within minutes of the cottage if you want your pets close to check on.
The local YMCA is just a few miles away and offers weekly packages for an additional fee for those families wanting pool time.We are also a 20 minute drive from the new Outer Banks water park. However, you are across the street from the OCEAN!
Sandy Bottoms bright and happy decor is constantly changing. We always have a project to improve and upgrade our second home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! There is one camera on the front porch, and one camera on the back porch for outside security ****WE ARE ONLY ON VRBO/HOMEAWAY FAMILY SITES****BE AWARE OF SCAMS!!

Perfect Girls Getaway

This beautiful little cottage was warm and welcoming, the kitchen stocked with everything needed to prepare meals and the beds were comfortable allowing for a perfect nights rest after long days on the beach and shopping. The location was quiet with just a short walk to beach access. Communication with the owner was top-notch. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely had a great time with my family in this awesome little home. Owners made everything so easy and had the house in great shape and had lots of household appliances and many staples already in place for us to use. Absolutely great location to the beaches and any and all activities. Would most likely to rent this home again anytime. Perfect location!

Only a short walk to the beach, but wonderful and relaxing stay at Sandy Bottoms as well. The house is warm and inviting......beautifully furnished and accommodating. Any thing you need, besides the beach, is nearby. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

The Epps are high school sweethearts who have been married for over 20 years with two teenagers. Their love of the beach fueled their goal-oriented personalities, hence, FINALLY....Sandy Bottoms beach cottage.

Why they chose this property

A beach cottage had been a dream of The Epps for years and finally when this low level bungalow became available, it seemed perfect especially with bad knees in the family! :) There were so many ironic things that pointed them towards Sandy Bottoms. It's quaintness and proximity to the beach made it clear that there would be lots of fun times at the beach to experience!

Location,location,location !!! Close walk to the beach,grocery store , Jolly Roger Restaurant and The Sea Ranch Resort . Also, the big back porch could accommodate rainy days in a hammock..
