Lakeside House Killarney is a 4 star**** newly refurbished, interior designed, fully equipped 3 bedroom Holiday Home in a fantastic location on the N71 Muckross Road where it is adjacent to the world’s famous Lakes of Killarney and Killarney National Park, 7 min drive to Muckross House, Gardens and Traditional Farms, Torc Waterfall and Molls Gap, 5 min drive to Ireland’s National Event Centre (INEC), 5 min drive to Ross Castle where one can take a boat cruise on the lakes of Killarney. 2km from Killarney Town centre and 16km from Kerry Airport.
There are a number of outdoor activities to enjoy locally, from walking, hiking, mountain climbing, cycling, golf, swimming, kayaking, surfing, horse riding and clay pigeon shooting. There are activities for every age and interest group right on your doorstep.
The Jaunting Car Trip, an enjoyable experience when sight seeing in Killarney where the local jarveys tell their tales and stories of Old. Walking and cycling trails are world class with truly breathtaking views of Killarney’s most beautiful scenery. Bicycles can be hired next door to us.
Walking distance from a Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre including Jacuzzi and Sauna, our guests can avail of a discount when using these facilities.

Pauline’s property is lovely, and served us well during our time in Killarney. She was welcoming and communicative throughout, and the location was very convenient for our planned activities. Great House & Location

The house was very clean and perfect for our family of 5. It’s across the street from the National Park and other places of interest. It’s a quick 5 minute drive to the town center where there’s shopping etc.

A real home away from home

We spent a week at this home and it was lovely. The house was comfortable and well-stocked, including muffins and more-than-basic pantry stock like milk and butter. Pauline was even kind enough to leave a few new toys for our boys, which they very much enjoyed! The view of Macgillycuddy Reeks from the development is fantastic and the proximity both to town and the national park makes the location ideal. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Excellent position

Pauline's property was very clean and comfortable for our group of 4 adults. It has a superb position, just over the road from the beautiful National park and Muckross House. We did not meet Pauline due to our timings, but she was in regular and friendly contact, and left a lovely starter pack of food for us. Would be happy to return.

Stayed 3 nights in June with family of 5 (3 kids, 2 adults). More than enough room for everyone. All the conveniences of home including fresh fruit, cupcakes, cereal, and milk provided completely unexpected. Pauline met us at the property at check-in to personally welcome us and followed up to ensure all our needs were met. Home was nicely furnished and in great condition. No problems in booking, payment, logistics, or check-out. Would absolutely stay again.

Nice place and best location!

From start to finish, our stay here was comfortable, convenient, and FUN! Communication with Pauline was timely and courteous and check-in was a breeze. We were greeted with a welcome basket filled with goodies to get us started and the kitchen was suitably stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils paper towels, detergents, trash bags, etc. The dishwasher and washer/dryer worked perfectily. The beds are comfortable with good linens and the bathrooms showers have good pressure and plenty of hot water. Wifi was strong and reliable. We can't speak to the TV because we didn't watch it, but I imagine it works as well as everything else in this unit. The condo is right across the street from the Killarney National Park, so we started our day with a brisk walk to the Abbey. Beautiful! I recommend renting bikes or E-bikes from down the street to explore the entire park or to ride into town, although it is an easy 20 minute walk into the city center. Suggestions for improvement: replace the two sofas in the living room soon as they are sagging in the middle. This unit is missing an outside table, but does have the four chairs. Don't know what happened to the table...? All in all, I enthusiatically recommend this condo for a comfortable stay and base of operation to explore Killarney. Have fun!

The house was perfect for my family of five adults!

We went to Killarney to attend a family wedding. Pauline’s house is in a great location, was very comfortable, and suited my family of five quite well with its two bathrooms and three bedrooms. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean! We communicated prior to our stay and all information was clear so it was easy to check in and out. On arrival she had a basket of food and fruits as well as milk and butter in the fridge. I only wish we had more time in the area. We would definitely stay at Pauline’s house again and would highly recommend:)

Great Killarney holiday base

We stayed at this lovely property in Killarney in late June, we being a family of 2 adults, 2 young teenagers and youngest under 10. The house is very clean and well maintained with a kitchen full of every tool you'd have at home. Located on the Muckross road, it's an ideal base to explore Killarney. There's a bike hire shop very very close by, with bikes being an ideal way to explore Killarney as there are so many cycle paths and trails. Next door is the Killarney Oaks Hotel, which is handy if you decide you want to dine a short walk away. The town centre is a short drive away, taxi's being readily available if needed. The owner, Pauline, was very pleasant to deal with, very communicative and helpful and left a lovely welcome basket for us when we arrived , it was a lovely touch and one that sets this property owner apart. Don't hesitate to book !

An amazing stay in Killarney

We absolutely loved this house in Killarney! It was extremely comfortable and wonderfully positioned close to the National Park and Muckross House. The house is very well equipped with excellent internet access. Our experience there was all the more enhanced by the superb host , Pauline. On arrival we found she had already provided us with items for breakfast as well as fruit and treats too. Throughout our stay she was always available to us and made many welcome suggestions for activities while we were there. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing break and can’t wait to return in the future.

Great base to enjoy Killarney area

The property was very clean, quiet, and roomy, on a less-congested leg of Muckross Road yet close to town and across the street from the national park. Pauline was very helpful, surprising us with breakfast supplies to get us started. We would certainly stay here again!

Great location for our stay in Killarney

Except for the confusion as to what date we would be arriving, the 3 bedroom property worked out well for our golf vacation. For us, we would have rather had 2 separate bathrooms rather than an en-suite, but we made do. The "treats" that Pauline had for us upon our arrival was a very welcoming.

Excellent Location Across from Killarney National Park

Excellent location across the street from Killarney National Park. The property owner was amazing to work with, extremely knowledgeable about the area, and the property itself was exactly what we wanted and expected from a vacation property. Nice touch - she had breakfast foods available for us when we checked in (definitely appreciated since we were checking in late after a long day and no time to stop by the store).

Lovely clean and cozy home in beautiful Killarney

My family and I had a wonderful vacation in Killarney. Pauline made us feel right at home.We were centrally located between downtown ( which is so fun) and Killarney National Park which is breathtakingly beautiful, we took a great hike there.Pauline was a gracious host she keep in contact with us make sure we were settled in and provided us with milk, cereal , fruit ,butter , ,snacks and a lovely bottle of Pinot Grigio .her home was super clean too!!❤️ Thank you!!

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. When we arrived at the home, there was fresh fruit, bread and cupcakes waiting for us. It was a nice location, short walk into the park, and about 25 min into town. Everything was clean and cosy. It was great having a common area, and kitchen and laundry when traveling with a group. Pauline was very helpful with recommendations and making arrangements.

Fantastic Stay!

We had such a wonderful time at this location. Pauline was so helpful and friendly, she answered many of our questions before arriving and also provides a very in depth list of many good restaurants/pubs and things to do in the area. She also had food, coffee and milk waiting for us when we arrived. This location is just outside of the downtown Killarney area. It is within walking distance, but we often got a cab in and out and it wasn't a hassle at all. We ate several times next door as it was quick and convenient. You are directly across the road from the national park, and we walked just a couple of minutes down the road and rented bikes for a great day in the park. There were 5 of us that stayed in the house, three adults and my 13 and 10 year old. The house was perfect for our needs. Two bathrooms and plenty of hot water for us all. It is very clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything that you would need. I would not hesitate to book this accommodation. You are just out of town enough that it is a peaceful get away after a day of site seeing, but close enough that you have everything you need close by. The scenery is breathtaking. Thanks Pauline for a wonderful week in Killarney- we had an amazing time!

Great Place!

The VRBO is very spacious and very close to one of the entrances to Killarney National Park. Muckross Abbey in the Park (near the entrance) was very neat! We did not meet Pauline since we came in so late but the fruit and cakes she left were greatly appreciated. Lastly, my son left two of his favorite shirts behind in the wardrobe and Pauline very kindly shipped them back to him! Highly recommended!

Killarney perfect accommodations for our Ireland west coast visit

This lovely apartment exceeded our expectations. The hostess left us fruits, cereal, bread and cupcakes enough for the four of us for thee days! Such a treat. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. There was a very detailed book Pauline had prepared for guests that included restaurants and local necessities, She communicated well and emailed suggestions of current happenings during our stay. Killarney National Park is walking distance away and is beautiful! It is perfectly located for day trips to other locations along the west coast. I highly recommend this rental and its location.
