Paradise on Mission Bay

Please note: 1 .Mission Beach is a residentail neighborhood, and many people are
now working from home. Please be respectful. 2. Gatherings of more than 10 people
are not allowed without prior approval and we ask that noise be kept to a minimum
past 10 p.m.


We invite you to come stay at our beautiful waterfront property with spectacular Bay views. Ground floor condo that is approximately 1380SF. TWO PARKING SPACES There are 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and sleeps up to 6 people. The master bedroom has a king bed and beautiful master bath, the second bedroom has two twin beds and it's own private bath. Provided are fluffy towels, soft sheets, comfy pillows, hair dryer and hand soaps There is a fireplace, spa tub in master bath, washer/dryer, wifi, 2 flat screen TVs. There is also a large sectional/sleeper sofa in the living room for relaxing and sleeping for two. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your entertaining needs. There is a large private grassy yard and a patio with built in barbq, patio table, chairs with umbrella, and chaise lounge. On the beach is our 'toy box' with lots of beach games, horse shoes, ladder golf, bean bag toss, kubb, bocce ball, smash ball, beach chairs, and more. We are also happy to set up a fire pit for you (as long as city rules allow) one night during your stay. We have a great lighted dart board on the patio and a volley ball court on the beach. If you like the waves of the ocean it is just a short walk across the street and down a court walkway.
Directly next door to our property is the beautiful Catamaran Hotel and Spa for dining and you will have use of the pool subject to any changes that may occur due to Covid-19. At this time the pool is open to our guests. At the hotel you are able to rent water sports at Action Sport Rentals.
Close by and within walking distance there are numerous restaurants with outdoor dining and many shops in the Promenade and on the boardwalk.
Many of our guests have been staying with us for several years. We look forward to meeting your family and doing all we can to provide you with a fabulous vacation.

A piece of paradise

We really can't imagine staying anywhere else, not only does this place hold special memories for our family but the owner Bob has become like a family member to our kids. Wonderful home and even better hosts.

Perfect location - perfect experience!

Miriam and Bob could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The location is the best spot on Mission Bay. The condo was comfortable for all of us, and my kids loved all the outdoor games and toys. We can’t wait to go back next year!

Great family vacation stay!

We hosted our son and his family for a great summer vacation week. The location is perfect. Having the bay outside your door plus the beach just a couple of blocks away was perfect for our mixed age family group.. The location to the Catamaran Resort was an added benefit with pool and Spa privileges. Great kitchen. General review.

We loved staying at this beach front property on the bay! The location was perfect! It was a close walk to great restaurants and breweries! We rented bikes and had a pleasant ride along the bay and the beach! We had access to the resort pool, spa & their arcade! Bob was wonderful and very attentive! He gave us great recommendations and answered all our questions. Can't wait to go back again!

Amazing Location and Amenities

We loved our stay at Bob and Miriam’s condo on Mission Bay. The location can’t be beat and offers excellent amenities including a clean, safe beach for the kids to play, great restaurant, pool and arcade next door and central location to all major San Diego attractions. The condo itself is very spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our four young children. Bob and Miriam went out of their way to make our kids feel special (providing lots of toys/beach gear, setting up a beach fire, etc) and we can’t wait to return again in the future!

Lovely setup and location… perfect

Situated steps from the sand on Mission Bay but still set back enough for a little privacy and a landscaped bayside patio area separated by a low manicured hedge, it was the perfect place to feel part of the beach scene joggers, beach volleyball and water sports. With all this nearby activity it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful allowing us to sleep well and work remotely. Our spacious first floor condo was perfect for us with its light and bright open floor plan and 2 bedrooms each with its own full bath, and a more central half bath that came in handy when we had a couple visitors. The place is clean and well stocked. We were so lucky to find this place and hope it will be available the next time we’re in the area.

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation this summer and this condo was the hub of it all. Steps from the bay and the ocean, It's hands down the very best location and we hope to come back year after year. The condo itself was well appointed, tons of space and perfect for our family of four. The outdoor space is huge and a perfect place for us all to gather after a day at the beach. The owners are so kind and easy going and we look forward to coming back next year!

Perfect Place for a Family Reunion

Right on Mission Bay, with grass and then lots of sand for children to play in, plus equipment and toys supplied by hosts. So easy! And right next to the fish, ducks, and macaws at the Catamaran Resort, with an excellent restaurant and pool in warm weather. Sunsets and surf are just one short block away,,,as are many breakfast places. This was our 4th visit to the property; we've stayed in both the 1st and 2nd floor units; each has its advantages, depending on ages of young children. And the hosts go our of their way to make one feel welcome and comfortable! We look forward to returning on our next visit to family in San Diego.

Our family, including our 2-year-old, had a wonderful stay here. The location was perfect with direct access to the bay and sand, and the property came fully stocked with everything we needed—beach chairs, canopy, toys, boogie boards, and lawn games. When we first arrived, the home had been opened up to air out since there’s no air conditioning. On check-in day the humidity was high (88%) and definitely noticeable, but after that it tapered off and we were comfortable inside with the fans.One thing we noticed during our stay is that people from the alley would sometimes come up to the property’s gate and use it to access the bay, despite the private property sign. Since we have a young child, it did feel uncomfortable at times having strangers walk through. It might be helpful to add a deterrent or lock mechanism that only guests can access, as the public walkway to the bay is conveniently located just one house over.We also enjoyed relaxing on the patio and found it to be a great spot for hosting family and friends. Overall, this is truly a one-stop vacation spot that made our stay special.

Perfect for families

We rented both this unit and the 2nd floor unit for our multi generational stay. We put the early rising kids in this one so that parents could easily take them outside on the lawn or for walks around the bay in the early hours. We did most of our living downstairs for basically the same reasons. The units were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We cooked on the charcoal grill outside when we did cook and the backyard got just the perfect amount of shade round about cocktail hour. The location is Persians the use of the Catamaran pool next door was perfect. We also could hear the music from the hotel functions when we were outside and it added a nice ambiance. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent this condo in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. This location was perfect. The host was lovely and introduced himself and showed us around which was an incredible touch. I felt like we were staying with family! The ability for the kids to walk out the front door and on to sand to play was amazing. The area was so quiet and safe, with tons of places to eat either a short walk or short drive away. The Pacific Ocean was less than two block walk but we preferred the quieter bay. Very easy access to all the tourist attractions like the zoo. The place itself was perfect for us (family of four with two kids). I loved having the space you wouldn’t get with a hotel, and the fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. My only negative on the list was that i didn’t book a longer stay!

Amazing stay!

Perfect quiet location right on the beach and walking path. Two blocks to the ocean. We stayed here with our kids - 9 and 7 and loved it. Walk to everything. The place was stocked with everything we needed for the beach including chairs and boogie boards! We can’t wait to come back!

Nice bayside people watching

Rented this first level condo to take my elderly parents to the beach. Because my Dad has very limited mobility, I knew he would enjoy sitting on the patio looking at the water and the people walking, running and biking by... we all enjoyed sitting outside. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped (appliances were old but functional), and the parking was very convenient. We took advantage of the pool privileges next door...thank you for providing that. The only thing that was an issue for us, was that there is no AC in the unit. The windows and doors had to be kept open night & day along with floor fans to help cool down the inside...glad we stayed after Labor Day. Our thanks to the Hosts for a memorable stay.

Beautiful property and fantastic location. We have been told by many of our guests that this is the best location at the beach and this is why they return to their home on the bay every year.
