We were very impressed with the property. It was very clean, inviting and well stocked with all the basics. The views were excellent, especially at night sitting around the fire pit.
No complaints, hope to return, a bit dated, but fun , clean and inviting. Stuck up folks might complain, but if you are down to earth, it is an awesome vacation spot. Saw and heard loons every day, bald eagle regularly swooped in, Canada geese, squirrels, and other wild life was abundant.
We had a fantastic family trip staying here. Our boys spent hours playing in the sand and the water. We took the boat out in the bay each morning and it was so peaceful. The house had everything we needed and more! Lots of toys to play with in the sand and life jackets to use. The sauna was enjoyable to get in after we got chilled in the water overtime. It was a perfect family vacation.. would recommend to anyone.
This property is in an awesome location on a small bay of Lake Superior. Perfect for a base to explore the western UP and Keweenaw Peninsula. The house is a bit dated and in dire need of tile repairs in the tub of the upstairs bath. The kitchen pots pans utensils etc needs to be updated. There is no lock on the queen room door. We enjoyed the location, sunsets, and bonfires every night.
The wife and I loved our stay! The house is well stocked with anything you’ll need to sleep, shower, and cook. There’s a good board game selection and the tiki bar/fire pit area is great. Great location, we will be bringing the UTV or boat up on the next stay for sure.
Very nice. Just needs a few repairs, (Upstairs Bathroom Shower) Also the sauna wouldn't work for us. Would like to have a better description of the rooms per floor. I may have missed it, Overall, very good.
Great place to stay cabin was perfect and clean.
Excellent trails for snowmobiling gas and food close by and accessible to trails.

About the host
Hosted by Huron Bay Inc
We are three Baraga County Families who love Lake Superior. We have a long history on Huron Bay, growing up in the area. “Here on the Bay” Vacation Cabin is our little get-a-way when the cabin is not being rented. We have enjoyed remodeling and updating the cabin, making it a relaxing retreat for our guests. It has given us the opportunity to share with others.
Why they chose this property
The view..the view...the view! We love this cabin in particular for the view and easy access to the lake. The yard provides plenty of space for yard games and yet the beach front is perfect for swimming, relaxing, kayaking, and picnicking. Enjoy magnificent sunsets, followed by a camp fire on the beach with your private fire pit along with stunning star-gazing opportunities. Coming soon a Tiki Bar down by the water.
What makes this property unique
There is nothing like waking up to morning coffee on the deck or sitting in the yard watching your kids play and explore. There is plenty to do in the area; the bald eagles are wonderful to watch along with the relaxing songs of the loons. Bayshore Drive creates a great place to walk, run, & bicycle. Our dock allows for ease in putting in kayaks, paddle boats, row boat and small water craft. Love that we are hidden but only minutes away from beautiful downtown L'Anse. Come and enjoy, "Here on the Bay" Vacation Cabin!
