Very nice set, worthy of a decoration magazine, surrounded by 4 hectares, offering great comfort with swimming pool entirely private, heated and salt, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in the heart of troubadour country, dominated by the famous Castle Hautefort and the bucolic valley of the Auvezère, bordered by the Benedictine abbey of Tourtoirac of the 11th century, 30 km from the caves of Lascaux, not far from Sarlat, the Dordogne valley and its famous castles. A garden of aromatic herbs and condiments will make the happiness of your lunches at the edge of the swimming pool. You will be welcomed as a privileged guest with a lot of attention so that you can have a wonderful stay and feel immediately at home.

We had a fabulous time and loved the change of pace to slow in the tranquility and beauty of the location. Beautiful hikes and fun outdoor activities. Lots of small towns with markets and sightseeing in the region. Highly recommend

An absolutely beautiful house surrounded by stunning gardens.

A beautiful well equipped house and stunning gardens. Around the pool area we smelt the perfume from the mass of beautiful lavender all day and the only noise was the sound of crickets, bliss. Marie-Isabelle the host could not do enough to make our stay welcome, she is a joy and goes above and beyond. If you are looking for a place of outstanding beauty and a place to relax and chill and away from it all, this is it. Beautiful organic linen bedding also. Just five minutes in the car for your baguette in a morning, the village has a well-stocked little store. What more do you need .....

The most charming guests that you can dream of ... it was like receiving friends in my house ... we had very interesting discussions about many subjects ... it was a real pleasure to listen to their point of view !!! and the activity of receiving guests takes all his sense.

C'est très rare de voir une maison de location aussi raffinée. Tout a été pensé, rien n'a été laissé au hasard, le raffinement est dans tous les détails. C'est une propriété digne d'un magazine de décoration. Nous avons été sous le charme d'une semaine inoubliable. On ne sent pas floué comme c'est le cas très souvent lorsqu'on loue des maisons à la semaine. Que dire de plus ? Merci pour ce séjour.

Escale gourmande et bucolique

Difficile de concilier les désirs de trois couples, le confort, la bonne chair, la tranquillité, le sport et la convivialité … je suis à l’origine de notre escapade en Dordogne, mes origines corréziennes sans doute car je savais que nous y trouverions le havre de paix qui répondrait à nos envies. Encore aujourd’hui, alors que plusieurs semaines se sont écoulées depuis notre séjour, j’ai encore du mal à mettre de l’ordre dans mes idées, tout se mélange que ce soit l’accueil, excellent, chaleureux et didactique par la propriétaire, qui raconte avec passion la restauration de sa maison pour lui donner le confort moderne sans la dénaturer et qui retrace l’histoire de l’artisanat local à travers son musée personnel … le cadre champêtre et confortable, avec pour seuls voisins les oiseaux, voire quelques blancs destriers dans la prairie voisine … les petits déjeuners sur le bord de la piscine ou quelques belles flambées le soir à la veillée en sirotant une liqueur de noix … les longues ballades en forêt … et puis un peu de voiture pour des visites culturelles « les grottes de Lascaux » « Sarlat La Canéda » ou sportives pour jouer au golf … Je crois que nous avons tous trouvés et dégustés cette semaine à « La ferme d’Araucanie » avec gourmandise et le gourmand revient toujours!!

Charme et tranquillité

Un séjour parfait pour les trois couples que nous étions. En fait je ne sais plus ce qui nous a séduit le plus, de l’accueil de la propriétaire pour nous donner les clés et nous parler avec passion des vielles pierres ... du cadre bucolique et tranquille dans lequel nous étions tombés, fêtés par les petits oiseaux et les chevaux qui semblaient nous reconnaitre comme si nous avions toujours été là … et bien sûr, dans un calme absolu au milieu de nulle part, la maison restaurée comme on le voit rarement, une recherche d’authenticité, un subtil mélange de « comme si la maison n’avait pas été touchée » et de confort moderne. A soumettre dans un magazine de décoration ! Le paradis en somme !!! nous reviendrons

La Dordogne comme nous l'aimons !

Location idéale ! tout le confort et même plus, très jolie maison extérieurement dans son jus, très bon gout pour la configuration intérieure ainsi que la décoration, propriétaire très gentille et de bons conseils, dès l'accueil nous nous sommes sentis à l'aise, cette demeure, en pleine nature, est proche des principaux commerces, et nous aurons plaisir à y retourner !

Simply Stunning

A simply stunning property in a quiet location, La Ferme d'Araucanie played host to our annual family gathering for a few sublime weeks and was never found lacking. The property description was, if anything, understated, the attention to detail and stylish appointment provided accomodation that was a pleasure to be around and the quality of the facilities, all functional and well maintained ensured that we were settled and 'on holiday' from the moment we were unpacked. Throughout our period there was regular but discreet attendance on the pool and the gardens leaving us just to 'enjoy' and enjoy we did! The local villages provide every service from boulangerie to cafe/restaurants and just a little further afield historic towns such as Sarlat, Montignac and Hautefort are treasures to browse shop and explore. The star of this show however is however, the owner, who's passion for her role as custodian of of your holiday extends beyond the provision of the property, always on hand and receptive to our needs from the commencement of our booking to the end of our stay and it was this that made a great holiday, very special.

Charme et confort, hors du temps

Ancienne ferme authentique restaurée avec beaucoup de goût, elle offre un excellent confort au grand calme. Le cadre est magnifique. C'est un lieu idéal pour se ressourcer avec de belles ballades environnantes, à proximité des hauts lieux du Périgord. On se sent vite hors du temps. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de la propriétaire, ses conseils et sa gentillesse Très belle piscine dont nous n'avons malheureusement que trop peu profité (temps un peu frais en cette fin d'avril). L'équipement est complet, de qualité. Petites attentions offertes, rares pour une location : savons parfumés, thé ...

Un petit coin de paradis!

Je ne puis que recommander cette merveilleuse maison qui fut une nos étapes pendant nos dernières vacances. Tout y était merveilleusement organisé par la charmante propriétaire. Pour un week-end loin des agitations de la vie urbaine. Ce coin de Périgord est idéal. Décor de bon goût, avec les petits détails qui font la différence. Confort, tradition et fonctionnalité, tout pour lâcher prise et se ressourcer. Accueil des plus chaleureux par l'hôtesse, ordonnatrice de ces lieux . CHARME ET AUTHENTICITE

Une maison pleine de charme restaurée avec goût et un grand sens du détail, un accueil attentionné et chaleureux, un lieu idéal pour des vacances loin du bruit et de l'agitation tout en étant proche des grands circuits touristiques de Lascaux, des Eyzies et de Sarlat. Assez étonnant : la bibliothèque de livres régionaux et le musée privé !!!! Nous avons déjà retenu un week-end cet hiver avec des amis.

De loin un gîte le plus agréable à tous points de vue dans lequel nous avons séjourné. Prestations haut de gamme, décoration et mobilier de bon goût, très belle piscine, propriétaire charmante et accueillante et de bon conseil, et pour décompresser un environnement calme, une idée de bout du monde et malgré tout à deux pas de tous commerces. La réalité est supérieure aux photos !!!

L'excellence

Certainement le gite le plus agréable dans lequel nous avons séjourné. Tout y est soigné, du linge de maison à la vaisselle en passant par les herbes aromatiques que vous mettrez dans vos plats, rien ne manque. Mon épouse a beaucoup apprécié les produits ménagers, savons et même produits anti-moustiques ainsi que les ingrédients tels que dosettes Nespresso, thé, tisanes et bouteilles d'eau en bouteilles de verres au frais pour notre arrivée !!! Un environnement de bout du monde, loin du bruit !!! Idéal pour se reposer. La piscine à 28 ° était un vrai régal pour nos enfants !!! Surprenant : une bibliothèque de littérature et d'histoire régionale ainsi qu'un musée (privé) d'objets et d'outils de la campagne. Tout y est chic et exceptionnel mais sans ostentation ... La propriété est tellement agréable que nous n'avons pas beaucoup visité les environs et nous reviendrons certainement en week-end avec un couple d'amis pour profiter de cette magnifique région. Merci à la propriétaire qui a le sens de l'accueil dans la plus grande discrétion.
