About this property

Cedar Lodge

Welcome to Cedar Lodge — our cosy studio cabin for two.

Tucked into the mature woodland, Cedar Lodge is the one for couples who want a proper escape without giving up a single comfort. It's a studio-style lodge — the bedroom, kitchen and living space share one warm, open room, with an en-suite shower room — which makes it wonderfully snug: everything you need within arm's reach, and nothing you don't. Parking is right outside, so unloading takes seconds.

The bed is where Cedar Lodge quietly shows off: a king-size bed with a premium Eve mattress that regularly earns a mention in guest reviews. Evenings sort themselves out too — settle into the comfortable chairs with a book, or get cosy in front of the 55-inch 4K Ambilight TV, which casts a soft glow around the room to match whatever you're watching.

Unlike most glamping stays, Cedar Lodge has a proper kitchen — full oven, hob and microwave — so you can cook a real dinner. Although there's a BBQ out on the decking too, and chairs for eating under the trees, and you can hire one of our smokeless fire pits (£25 including a bundle of wood) for stargazing evenings.

Bedding and towels are included, the WiFi is fast and reliable with its own dedicated connection, and your dog is very welcome (£24 cleaning fee per stay).

You're well placed for exploring, too: a short stroll through West Stow village brings you to the edge of the King's Forest and its miles of trails, the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village is five minutes away, and the restaurants and abbey ruins of Bury St Edmunds are ten minutes down the road — all just 90 minutes from London.

Romantic weekend, anniversary treat, or just two people who need the woods and some quiet — Cedar Lodge was made for exactly that.
