Charming Two Bedroom House Within A Delightful Lively Provencal Village

Charming two bed roomed house in a delightfully typical Provencal village. Mirabel has two cafes, a bakery, a grocers, post office, newsagents and a pharmacy. The house is at the top of the village with parking close by. It has a lovely private sunny courtyard garden with its own tower which affords wonderful panoramic views across to Mount Ventoux and the Baronnie hills. The perfect spot for breakfast. The house is comfortably furnished and well equipped. Kitchen/diner with cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. TV and wifi. Utility with a washing machine. Main bedroom sleeps two and has a glorious beamed ceiling. A small second bedroom has a single bed. Bathroom and separate toilet.
The village lies between the towns of Vaison La Romaine and Nyons which both have lots of shops and restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool and a large weekly market as well as being very beautiful. Vaison boasts extensive Roman ruins. There are fantastic drives all around the area with the cities of Avignon and Orange nearby.

We once again enjoyed two wonderful weeks in Chat Perché. The view from the tower remains as unique and beautiful as ever. The small village provides everything needed for daily life – including lively evening chats at the charming Provençal bar.

We enjoyed again our stay in Chat Perche. The athmoshere in the house with the tower in the middle of the small village is very unique and for us relaxing. We will for sure return.

Charming property

We have stayed in this property several times before and yet again enjoyed our time there, however, I feel that the house keeping situation should be reviewed and clearer instructions given for TV.

Two wonderful weeks in the department of Drome

For the first time in Chat Perche we have enjoyed a wonderful vacation. It is a unique experience to be in this residence, swarmed by swifts and with great day trips to the surrounding countryside. Pru even solved for us a small problem caused by a thunderstorm late at night - thank you very much for that.

Le Chat Perché is as good as it gets

We have some experience of gîtes in France and Le Chat Percé is among the best we know. Quirky brilliant conversion of an ancient building close to church at summit of ancient hill village in maze of narrow medieval streets. Very well equipped and comfortable even in an exceptionally hot summer. We know we would like owner from her books. Local manager Nathalie charming and efficient. If you like being close to an active belfry and having many cats as neighbours, this is as good as it gets.

Das Haus liegt aussichtsreich auf dem höchsten Punkt von Mirabel. Von dem kleinen Turm hat man einen Rundumblick auf den Ort und die Berge bis zum Mont Ventoux. Man bekommt hier wirklich das Gefühl, Teil der provencalischen Lebensart zu sein.Der tolle Innenhof, der Stil des Hauses mit den freiliegenden Holzbalken, die großen Zimmer und die Ausstattung hat uns begeistert und ist einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Da wir in unseren 2 Wochen Aufenthalt Temperaturen von fast 40 Grad hatten, war die Klimaanlage ein Segen.Mirabel ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt zum Radfahren, Flussbaden, Wandern, dem Stöbern auf den bunten Wochenmärkten in Nyons oder Vaison, Weinproben in den Dentelles und Ausflügen zum Beispiel nach Orange und Avignon. Selbst im August war die ganze Gegend touristisch nicht überlaufen. Das Haus hat Lust gemacht wieder zu kommen, wir können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Spacieux avec de beaux extérieurs

Appartement de style provençal. On rentre par la grille qui ouvre sur une terrasse spacieuse offrant une vue dégagée sur les alentours, ensuite par une petite porte vitrée nous pénétrons dans la cuisine /salle à manger qui continue vers un vaste salon avec 2 canapés confortables. Grande chambre double avec des lits jumeaux et de la place pour ranger nos affaires, toilette et salle de bain spacieuse nous séparent de la deuxième chambre bien aménagée avec un lit de 90cm, typiquement un lieu magique pour un enfant car il y a une petite mezzanine. Très bien conçu, l'appartement est traversant et permet donc un courant d'air bienvenu le soir tombé. Nous n'avons pas du allumer la clim. Village très calme, et sans nuisances, de petites tables bien réparties sur la terrasse permettant de profiter de l'ombre ou du soleil. Et surtout, un escalier extérieur débouche sur la tourelle offrant une vue sur la campagne environnante et Mont Ventoux. Moment de zénitude !

Alles zusammen ein wundervoller Urlaub. Gleich neben der Kirche in einem alten aber gut gepflegten Haus wohnen mit dem Gefühl, in die Geschichte des Ortes einzutauchen, mit dem Fahrad tägliche Touren machen und dabei die wundervolle Landschaft mit ihren kleinen Dörfchen genießen, gemütlich Mittags eine Pause am jeweiligen Dorfplatz unter Platanen machen und sich mit provencalischem Essen vewöhnen lassen, ...Kurz gesagt: Leben wie Gott in Frankeich

Romantik pur

Wunderschönes, altes Dorhaus mit phantastischem Blick. Das romantischste Haus, das wir je in der Provence bewohnt haben. Die Atmosphäre des ganzen Anwesens mit dem Aussichtstürmchen ist unbeschreiblich. Wir haben dort oben , sobald es das Wetter zuließ, so gern gefrühstückt. Man mag sich dann kaum losreißen von dem Plätzchen, aber die Umgebung lockt mit so vielfältigen Möglichkeiten, dass man es doch tut. Und schließlich kann man ja am Abend wieder hinaufsteigen und mit einem Glas Wein in die Sterne gucken. Wir haben den Aufenthslt SEHR genossen. Gern kommen wir wieder. MERCI!!

Fantastische locatie en mooi huisje; prachtig gebied; veel informatie aanwezig over de omgeving. Tweede slaapkamer heeft kort bed. Het huisje was helaas erg vies; oude, stinkende kussentjes voor stoelen buiten. Wel leuke hoekjes om buiten te zitten.

Pure Erholung

Wie schon letztes Jahr, haben wir auch dieses Jahr den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir waren mit unserem Hund in diesem Haus mit dem romantischen Turm. Die Gegend eigenet sich hervorragend für Wanderungen.

Genau so muss es sein

Das Haus zu finden war nicht ganz einfach. Aber als wir auf die Terrasse kamen und dann das Haus sahen, war es einfach perfekt. Ich hatte sofort das Gefühl in einem perfekten Haus mit einem perfekten Garten zu sein. Das Haus ist super schön und es hat alles, was es braucht-und es funktioniert alles. Die Kommunikation mit der Eigentümerin war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich. In der Umgebung machten wir Wanderungen und entdeckten die abwechslungsreiche und gepflegte Gegend mit Auto und zu Fuss. Es war wirklich grossartig und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Maison fantastique

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette maison "perchée" . Il fait aimer les vieilles pierres et le réveil avec les cloches de l'église du village. Elle est très originale, calme et confortable. On s'y sent très bien. La vue de la campagne environnante est très belle. Pas de vis à vis. Déjeuner face au Mont Ventoux.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus mit Aussicht

Wir haben uns als Familie (2 Erwachsene und 1 Kind von 11 Jahren) sofort in das Haus verliebt. Etwas abenteuerlich ging es durch die engen Straßen von Mirabel-aux-Baronnies bis ganz hinauf zur Kirche. Nach ein paar Stufen und durch eine Gasse standen wir vor einem schmiedeeisernen Tor. Hinter diesem öffnete sich für uns ein gepflegter kleiner Garten/Hof mit Feigenbaum und blühenden Sträuchern. Eine Treppe führte bis auf ein Türmchen, von dem aus man ganz Mirabel überblickt. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sofort wohl und so richtig angekommen im Süden. In der Küche hat eine Hausfrau die Schränke eingeräumt. Es fehlte an nichts. Das WLAN funktionierte im Haus tadellos. Das Frühstück und Abendessen haben wir im Garten/Hof immer sehr genossen. Da kam dann oft eine süße Katze vorbei und hat ausprobiert, ob sie bei uns etwas Milch bekommen kann. Den Gefallen haben wir ihr getan. Sie war uns eine treue Freundin. Unvergesslich bleiben die Abende auf dem Türmchen bei einem Glas Wein mit Blick auf den Mont Ventoux. Beim Anblick des Sonnenuntergangs und des fantastischen Sternenhimmel mag man gar nicht mehr hinunter steigen. Kurz gesagt, dass Haus ist super für alle, die ganz individuell die Provence und die Baronnies entdecken und am Leben in einem lebendigen Ort teilhaben möchten. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin funktionierte auf Englisch per Mail ohne Probleme.

I live in England with my husband but come down to Mirabel when we can get away. I love being there and have been visiting for over 30 years. The house is managed in France for us by Nathalie who is lovely and highly praised by our guests.

Why they chose this property

Our parents bought the house in 1986 in a semi ruined state and it was renovated by local craftsmen. They had the tower in the garden built to take advantage of the wonderful views over to Mont Ventoux.
Since my parents death my brother and I have taken over the house with considerable help from a local manager as we live in the UK.
The house has benefitted from many improvements over the years including a new roof and most recently a new boiler.

What makes this property unique

The house is beautiful and tucked away at the end of the alley. It is safe and serene.
