Say hello to the finest of beach living when you stay at 220 Charleston Blvd! This beautiful southern charmer has an impressive 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, making it perfect for a big family beach reunion. With other unbeatable features like beach access across the street and a private pool, this home will give you an unforgettable beach vacation!
This home has a bit of interesting history, as the first floor was originally a Sears-Roebuck kit house dating back to the 1920s. Flash forward to today, and it's been renovated and has several additions, including a second floor, making it a full-size beach home with lots of amenities!
Pull up to the home and you'll immediately feel those South Carolina beach vibes. Beneath the home you'll find the garage, which can fit three cars and has an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Journey up to the front door, noting the spacious front porch with a seating area. Enter the home and you'll discover the main level, open concept living space. You'll find the fully equipped kitchen on this level, giving you the ability to make your own vacation meals and snacks. Stainless steel appliances give the space a modern and polished look, while counter seating provides the perfect spot to grab a quick meal.
You'll find a six-seater dining set, in addition to another four-seater set. From here you can travel onto the main level living room, which features plush seating and a large flat screen TV. French doors lead out onto a spacious screened-in porch that overlooks the pool, with a sitting area offering ample seating and an outdoor dining set. Down by the pool you'll find loungers and outdoor furniture, a security gate, and a gas grill for vacation BBQs.
Upstairs you'll find the next level, which offers another living area with a cushy sectional, large flat screen TV, and entrance to an upper rear deck that boasts fantastic ocean views. There's another sitting area just off this living room. The home has a total of six bedrooms, four of which are furnished with a queen bed, one with a set of bunk beds, and the master oceanfront suite with a king. Four of the rooms have TVs as well!
This home has lots of technological features, such as seven TVs throughout the entire home, equipped with HBO. You'll also find complementary Wi-Fi, a stereo system, DVD players, and video and board games. You'll also find a washer and dryer on the main level!
**Please note: Fireplace is not a "working" fireplace. The flue is closed, please do not use.
This property also includes a $250 credit to order beach gear when you book a stay between 3 and 14 nights!! There are many options to choose from including bicycles, beach chairs, beach carts/wagons, coolers, umbrellas, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.! Our partnered company, VayK Gear, will contact you 45 days prior to your arrival so you can place your order and they will deliver all equipment to your rental property. A few important notes to be aware: NO HOUSE PARTIES. NO SMOKING. NO PETS. No exceptions! There is a very strict noise ordinance policy on the island that goes into effect at 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on weekend nights. The 6 car limit is also strictly enforced. This house is a family rental and is located near year-round residents. This is not a rental home for bachelor/bachelorette events, wedding groups, youth groups, fraternities/sororities, receptions, or any other types of larger gatherings. We do NOT rent to students or anyone under the age of 30 - no exceptions - even if a parent or legally responsible adult makes the reservation. If such a group occupies or attempts to occupy the property, they will be required to immediately vacate and there will be NO refunds given. Further, this home is strictly a non-pet friendly home. Guest will be fined $1000 if a pet is found to be on the property at any time.
ALL BED LINENS, KITCHEN TOWELS (2), BATH TOWEL SETS, & BEACH/POOL TOWELS (12) ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE!! You will only need to bring or plan to rent beach chairs, bikes, umbrellas, etc. Also included is a "starter set" of toiletries such as toilet paper, bath & dish soaps, paper towels, etc. but please do keep in mind you will most likely need to purchase these items after your initial arrival.

Our group of 12 adults really loved the home and location. We catered all our meals in so we got to maximize our time at the house. Beach walks and hanging out on the screened in porch were highlights. Also, very comfortable beds and great views. Didn’t use the pool as the weather wasn’t great for that. Management was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely use this house again for a similar gathering.
Well laid out house. Ample room for multiple gathering places. Our party of nine adults worked very comfortably. Close walk to beach and reasonable walk to grocery shopping and restaurants. Our only recommendation would be to supply a basic set of beach towels.

Loved the location and the house was extremely comfortable for our group of 13. The kitchen is very open and large with an island and nice sized dining table. The screened porch was our favorite relaxing spot. The beach access is across the street and very convenient.
The pool was dirty, a few things were broken (outdoor chair and umbrella, eye of stove) and tv and fan remotes were missing but the management company was responsive and brought replacement tv remotes to the house.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Weird incidents
Overall, the house is beautiful, but we had a lot of weird incidents that left us feeling uneasy and uncomfortable in the house. On the first day, a man came over unannounced saying he needed to come in to fix something, but we did not get any heads up or communication from the property to confirm. He then returned and walked in without knocking. On the second day, we were hoping to have a pool day, but the management company had scheduled their lawn service while we were there, also without warning. So there were grass cutters, leaf blowers all over the yard and up on the porch for the day invading our private space, and it was too loud to be at the house. Two out of the 3 nights two different smoke detectors started chirping for us to change batteries in the middle of the night. Another night, a man seemed to have let himself into our backyard to sit by the pool and smoke a cigar. The back door was also confusing to lock, which is not ideal when strangers are coming into your back yard. Lastly, the keypad to get in and out of the house is in a very dark, creepy garage.

Hi Holly - I'm so sorry to hear that you felt uneasy while staying with us! We do try to let guests know when we have maintenance stoping by after check-in, they are instructed to always knock and let you know why they're there. We don't ever have maintenance at the home during your stay unless there is an emergency and something needs to be fixed. I'm so sorry he didn't knock the second time he entered the home, we will go over this with our team. We don't schedule the lawn service or the pool company to come out. Both commercial companies are on a once or twice a week schedule with the owner and cannot work around reservations. They are typically only there for an hour at most to maintain the property for guests. We would've been happy to switch the batteries out in the smoke detectors had you let us know they were chirping. As this home is a full time rental property, we don't always catch everything. If the detector isn't chirping when we inspect the home, there's no way for us to know the battery needs to be changed. If you would've let us know you were having issues with the back door lock we could've helped.
The location was perfect during this time of year to enjoy time with friends during Halloween! The house was so clean and perfect for a group of friends.

Great location and spot for a multifamily beach vacation
Beautiful home, great amenities, view and short distance walk to the beach were perfect! Amenities in the home were great. With 3 families, kids, etc....it was great to have multiple porches and indoor living spaces to give everyone room!
It’s hard to imagine that the house is better than the photos but it was! Perfect location a few steps from the beach, gorgeous and clean decor and plenty of space for everyone. We loved waking up to the sunshine! Can’t wait to come back.
I honestly don’t want to leave a good review because I want this property to always be available when I visit Charleston….but the photos of this place do not do it justice. The house is phenomenal. It is beautiful inside and out, a gorgeous view from both back decks, and PLENTY of space for our group (13 people but could have easily fit 15+). I wish we had stayed here longer because I really didn’t want to leave. 10/10 recommend!!!
We loved this property. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect for our multi generational family. The view of the ocean, and proximity were great. Everyone had a wonderful time!
House was excellent. Perfect for our extended family. Lots of room, conveniently located near the beach access. We really enjoyed the large screened in porch over looking the pool with comfy furniture. We will definitely be back!
The house location is perfect. You are right across the street from the beach and the views of the water are awesome. The home is also very open and accommodates a family well, just be aware there are lots of stairs. My only disappointment was the cleanliness. The house has significant wear and tear of the furniture, much more than I’ve experienced in similar rental homes at this price point for example all the indoor seating cushions need replacing due to heavy food stains and discoloration. The cleaning also had a lot more misses than we’ve experienced elsewhere. Overall, we enjoyed our trip due to the location and outdoor space.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The place was clean and spacious with stunning views. We were fortunate to have had fantastic weather and were able to take advantage of the local park and beach which was only steps away from the house! We would definitely stay here again!
The house was perfect for our family! The new updates were very nice and the screened in porch was our favorite place to hang out. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed. The location and proximity to the beach was ideal. The pool was also a plus for everyone but I feel it should be cleaned more than 2 times a week. Overall, it was a great house!
Four families stayed in this house very comfortably with a "nook" for four pack 'n plays and bunk beds for three "big kids" (ages 3-4). While the house needs some TLC (generally outside), it was spacious and had all the amenities we needed with a large table inside and outside for eating, a pool, large living area upstairs and down, plus a great upstairs deck with a view of the ocean. We loved the extra rental gear and the walk to the beach was very convenient. We plan to come back!

We agree that the furniture needs some updating. Good news is the homeowner is going to do a complete remodel Jan - March 2020! Everything (furniture, appliances, etc.) will be brand new! As well as updates to the exterior of the home as well. I will know more in October after they meet with their contractor and interior decorator. It's really a WONDERFUL beach home and I'm sure after it's completed it will look FANTASTIC! We hope you'll give it another chance next year!

Cancellation Policy: Reservations made and cancelled within 24 hours will be refunded in full. After 24 hours, our cancellation policy goes into effect. Reservations cancelled 6 months prior to arrival will be refunded in full.
