My sister and best friend stayed at this beautiful home. Anna made us the BEST chocolate chip cookies ever!!! I could not have asked for a better place to make our stay so enjoyable!!!
The apartment is very conveniently located in a lively neighborhood. Tons of restaurants nearby. The apartment is charming and has everything you need. We enjoyed our stay very much. There are some restaurants and bars in the restaurants with some noise alight at night, but bring earplugs and it should be no problem.
I felt home the minute I arrived. Lovely apartment with lots of amenities. Great neighborhood with everything you need. You’re very well connected with the city by metro or bus.
First floor south facing, airy, overlooking bustling street with lots of nightlife, close to restaurants, shops, a Tuesday and Friday street market gives a genuine Paris neighborhood feel. Apartment is two blocks from multiple metro stations and the bus to the heart of Paris stops at the other end of the plaza in front.
Our stay in Paris during the Olympics was awesome - excellent location, close to metro stops, lots of restaurants/food in the area. Martine was very responsive to all of our questions and responded quickly. We had an incredible time seeing the Olympics and spending time in Paris. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We loved our stay at this sweet apartment, and Martine was very quick in responding to all questions throughout. The neighborhood was great. Lots of food and several metro stations nearby.
Fantastic! Nearby bus and metro, we did many walks to Centre Pompidou, La Madeleine, parc Buttes Chaumont, place de la Republic, place de la Concorde, place de la Bastille. Many little shops in the street, Nice wine-bar and pizzarestaurant in front of the appartement. So we were happy to stay for one month there.
This was a great apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. It's a real neighborhood where people live -- mornings were vibrant with the sound of kids being dropped off at the school nearby, and while there is a bar downstairs, I hardly noticed it from inside. Apartment is very clean, so cozy to hang out in, and the beds were great. Martine is incredibly nice and met me to let me in. Have already sent the listing to several friends.
The apartment is in the heart of Paris, next to metro stations, markets and many restaurants.
Inside it has everything you'll ever need and the host, Mrs Martine, is the nicest lady in the world.
Thank you for everything! Andrei
Very nice. Perfect for a long stay. Liked be able to feel what it would be like to live in Paris. Everything we needed was within a couple blocks. Bus stop and taxis with in one block. If you have any mobility issues the spiral staircase would be difficult to manage. The tub you have to step up into.
I stayed in this apartment to live as a Parisienne for 6 weeks. I would come back there again. The building felt very secure, 3 locks to get through. The neighborhood was pleasant and felt safe, readily accessible to both the Metro and bus lines, a patisserie right across the street, grocery store 4 minutes away, several good restaurants very close and so many more not too far to walk.
As a US midwesterner, this reminded me a bit of my grandparents' cabin. It's an older property with a few quirks, but the most complete rental I've ever stayed in (really had everything we needed). It felt like we were housesitting for an old friend. It was very nice to have two bedrooms so we could get privacy as needed. So much better than a hotel! There's a wonderful bakery across the way, comfortable beds, easy to get to the metro stops and shops, and Martine is a delightful and knowledgeable host. If you are concerned about marble countertops and brand new everything, this is not the place for you. But if you want a home away from home and a little peace in a busy city this is perfect.
This was a five night trip for three adults. Directions given to property were clear and correct. Martine met us and gave us an orientation to the apartment and the neighborhood. Number 2 metro line is 1 1/2 blocks away. Bus 96 heading downtown is just outside front door, and returning from downtown is 1 block away. Three locked doors are excellent security - street door and door to staircase open with fob to get in and push button to get out while actual metal door to apartment uses key. Microwave, stove, refrigerator, toaster, drip coffeemaker and electric kettle were all in excellent condition. Wi-Fi was fast and dependable. Apartment is one floor up facing front plaza with French balcony windows in kitchen, living/dining room and both bedrooms. Plenty of room. Lots of towels and sheets. Laundromat available in building next door. Martine has maps and guidebooks (French) available for use. We will definitely stay here again.

Five days at Popincourt/Bastille apartment
We were 4 adults and we spent 5 days at the apartment. Despite the previous agreement of the owner to the change from 3 to 4 adults, we had the surprise to have only 3 towels (note that in the bathroom there was an open shelf with at least 15 towels but the owner said that these towels were particular, so we had to buy an extra towel). Also the apartment was plenty of particular things like soaps, shampoos, etc in the bathroom so, there is no space to the guests things.
The same occurred in the kitchen: no space to our belongs, all the shelfs with the owner particular things. Two other things made our stay unconfortable: the bath - without shower nor curtain, so the bathroom becames completely wet each bath; the living room's floor have great slits so it is difficult to keep the floor clean. The positive aspect of the apartment is only the location, near the public transports, laudries and restaurants.

Bonjour,
Had a wonderful week living like a local in this residential area where there were so many restaurants and brasseries to suit all budgets and tastes. Definitely a great location for those returning to Paris who don't feel the need to be right in the middle of it all however there were a couple of Metro stations very close by so still very easy to get around. Martine was very responsive in answering questions and it was nice that she met us in the apartment for the handover of the keys. The place was clean and very well cared for. Two main points to note: As others have mentioned, there is a bar just below so you can hear noise until very late at night but if you know this beforehand it won't be a surprise. We were there when it was very cold so the windows were always closed. This greatly helped to reduce the noise. (Mornings were always very quiet). As the photos show, there isn't a standup shower stall so it's not so convenient and getting yourself ready can take a bit longer but as long as you plan for this it will be fine. However, the location and clean, cosy apartment definitely makes up for all of this and I would consider returning another time.
First of all I have to say this is the best price for a 2-bedroom apartment in Paris. It’s a lovely place, well secured (2 key-fob doors and a triple-bar locked door), and only 20 steps up from the ground level. Felt very homey and very Parisian.
The apartment is stocked with lots of towels, dishes, pots and pans, a microwave and frig. The bedrooms have sheets but no extras so if you have an extended stay, like we did, you may need to wash sheets. It was so nice to go home to our darling apartment with separate bedrooms and a have a place to dine after long days of sight-seeing.
To note, There are little paper products so you may have to purchase paper towels, toilet paper and napkins yourself, along with a new kitchen sponge for dishwashing.
The apartment is above a bar and although week nights were fairly quiet, the weekend nights can be noisy with smoke and the smell of beer coming into the open windows, so a noise machine came in very handy. The sturdy windows kept out the noise and smells, but this might be difficult in hotter weather.
There is a terrific patisserie across the street where we got croissants and coffee every morning and a laundry right next to the street entrance door. The area felt safe with other restaurants within walking distance. Close to metro but be ready to travel to get to the main sights.
All in all we loved this little place, we would definitely stay there again.

On a adoré On reviendra sûrement. On recommande cet endroit fortement.
