Wonderful stay in Lugano!!

Breathtaking view, Wendel was sweet at checking us in. Thank you for the Chianti as our welcome gift! Wonderful walk to city center! Drove to Morcote which was quaint! Went to piccolo vigneto on Mt Brie for dinner and it was excellent, seven minute drive! We needed more toilet paper and paper towels. Thank you!

Unbeatable view

The apartment was easily accessible from Lugano town centre either by bus (2) or by foot. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, however you will need to remember to bring shower wash and shampoo. We loved the view from the terrace at all times of day and night. The Olive trail is close by and provides spectacular scenery alongside the lake. We can recommend Aqua and Farina for pizza.

Fantastic VRBO

Daniel place is perfect for 2 people . The apartment is very clean and has everything you need . The view is spectacular! The 20 min walk into town is beautiful. Lugano is beautiful. We had a car which made getting around easier to other areas . We loved it and would go back !! Daniel answers all our questions very quickly and getting into the apartment was easy and smooth !! Would highly recommended his apartment

“Very scenic views. But the lake views are top notch. Great place to enjoy morning coffee in the garden gazing lovingly at the lake views. Nespresso coffee machine is available to use as well. The flat itself is very neat and well maintained. Bathroom is very luxurious. Host Daniel is very responsive. Local host Paolo was very friendly and did a great job of checking us in.” We missed the sun in the garden as it is obstructed by the walls of the upper flat.

Gorgeous view of Lake Lugano from balcony

We liked the bed. The reading lights over the bed were great. Had plenty of hot water, and the building was quiet and very secure. Easy access to bus to train station and Lugano Center. Could see sailboats and sunsets from the balcony. The walking path was a real plus as it took us through lovely ferns, flowing vines, and palm trees, plus it was downhill. Non-skid tub appliques would help. Extra towels would be nice for drying hair.

Phenomenal view!!

If you are in Lugano for the scenery this is an exceptional place to stay. View wise it has a great panoramic view of the lake where you can see central Lugano but also the surrounding towns. It has good public transportation access but is also completely walkable if you aren’t in a rush. The quarters themselves are pretty basic, the sofa was super comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. We don’t typically spend a lot of time indoors while traveling so it was ample for our needs. If we had stayed longer I might want a bit more space. The owners were very helpful and accessible on the phone when trying to locate the building. I will say the VRBO map shows the address as Via S Giorgio 41 which is not accurate. And S Giorgio is one of those fun roads that is a bit like spaghetti so we hiked up a long way from where the building is actually located. It was fine and don’t think this is the owners fault but maybe something VRBO needs to correct. All that said, the place was perfect for our needs, there were fireworks one night and the view was ideal. We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace soaking up the views every chance we got. Thank you for allowing us to stay and we would absolutely return in the future!!

Outstanding view!

This property is an excellent choice for staying in the Lugano area. The view alone is worth it, but the apartment is very well maintained and has what you need to cook, etc. The view is great so we had dinner at the apartment every night to watch the sunset on the lake. It's a bit of hike down into town, but only takes about 10 min. Fortunately there is a bus that runs frequently to take you back up the hill. The owner provides cookware but not anything for cooking so be advised that there is no coffee, sugar, olive oil or anything you would need along those lines. There was salt and pepper. Towels are not provided for swimming in the lake so you will need to bring that as well or go to Lido where they provide it. There is a significant upcharge if you need anything extra, for example there were only 2 bath towels provided for an entire week and when we requested a couple more, we were told it would cost 20 euros to have someone bring it by. All that being said, these are more inconveniences, as the apartment itself and the location and view are awesome. I do highly recommend this place as a great vacation stay!

Fantastic view !

The view could not be better. With the view obviously comes height. We were fine to do the hike up, but were so hot and sweaty upon arrival that we literally had to immediately take a shower. (Which by the way, does not come with any soap or shower gel to wash your body. The owner does NOT provide any amenities and that includes basics like soap!! And we called him & he explained that he will not provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion or coffee pods for the Nespresso maker because this is an apartment you’re renting. Instructions (& soap) from the train station would make this a 5*. It is absolutely a necessity to do your research on how to take the local bus the train. As an FYI - from the train station (Lugano Stazione), take the #2 bus (platform B across from the train exit) towards Castagnola, Capilinea, & press the stop for S. Michele (when you’re almost there - which stops right outside the front door of the apartment). Otherwise you’ll be pushing luggage up a 45 degree incline for kilometres. The Prosecco left in the fridge for us was a beautiful touch & much appreciated. A beautiful, relaxing place to visit !! We’ll be back !!

Der Blick aus der Wohnung war schon etwas besonderes. Die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, was nötig ist. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Standort war für uns ideal. Ruhig aber dennoch alles mit nur kurzer Fahrzeit erreichbar. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und würden die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen.
