About this property

Mid- Lake home, perfect for a group w/ lots of boat and truck parking

Tall Tales is a fabulous 4BR, 2BA (full) cabin that has a rustic feel inside. Accommodating groups up to 10 guests, it's a wonderful place to relax after a long day of fishing, shopping or exploring all that NE Alabama has to offer.

You'll enter the D&E Landing 2 acre property through one of four different driveways which makes for easy access. As you drive up to the cabin you'll see the large 30' long carport where your boat or vehicle will be parked. You've got 16 outlets for charging batteries and the fluorescent lighting makes it feel like daylight even during a dark moon!

The front door opens into the completely open concept great room, dining area and kitchen. You're greeted by a comfy large sofa and loveseat plus a big screen TV powered by DirecTV. Go ahead and fire up your unlimited free WIFI as you'll get a great signal both inside and outside of the cabin!

As you walk further into the cabin you pass the dining table and area as you head toward the kitchen. In the kitchen you'll find full sized appliances plus a microwave, coffee maker with filters, toaster and of course dishware and cookware to make some memorable meals. If you prefer, there's casual dining for 4 at the bar adjacent to the dining area.

Each of the 4 bedrooms is located on a corner of the cabin with a full bath on each side in the middle of 2 bedrooms, it couldn't be more convenient! You have a queen and twin in two of the bedrooms and either 2 o 3 twins in the final two bedrooms depending on your needs. There's also a closet for hanging clothes in each bedroom.

The bathrooms are very spacious. Each features a large shower stall and plenty of fresh towels - just add soap!

If you travel with pets just ask, in most cases we're happy to have them as guests too. Our 2 acre property also offers plenty of additional parking with power to charge batteries for vehicles and boats.

Fisherman’s Paradise

There were 4 of us that stayed at Tall Tales for 4 nights. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day on the water. It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Place is as described. Clean cozy great place for a group of fishermen. We had 6 adults (men) it was was comfortable. I wouldn’t want another person in there. It will sleep 10 though if your just looking for a place to crash at night.

D&E Landing vacation Rentals, LLC is named after us, David and Edna. The name came to Edna literally as we were signing the documents to purchase the property.

Edna's a native Alabamian who grew up in Phenix City. David grew up outside of Boston but found his way to Alabama in the middle 80's. We fell in love with Northeast Alabama after spending 4 years outside of Gadsden before moving to Memphis, TN for 20 years.

Lake Guntersville called to us in the spring of 2013 and we decided it was time to go home permanently! We are, like many couples in Alabama, a house divided. Edna's the Alabama football fan and David's the Auburn fan. Iron bowl Saturdays are always interesting around our house!

David hunts and fishes the area and is always happy to help with any information you need. Edna's a shopper, and will guide you to every place within 60 miles to get a bargain on almost anything! Between us we've got you covered.

We both love to meet people, make new friends and serve our guests. We believe in delivering the maximum value for your dollar and will do whatever it takes to ensure you have a fantastic time at Lake Guntersville and in the Northeast Alabama area!

Why they chose this property

Tall Tales is located mid-lake on Highway 79 making it an easy drive to most of the boat ramps on the lake. If you're not a fisherman, you'll only have a short drive to Guntersville, Scottsboro or Huntsville. There you'll find plenty of activities to choose from including:
- Fantastic shopping in all these locations (just ask Edna)
- Cathedral Caverns
- Hiking at the State Park
- Space and Rocket Center
- Lake City Amusement Park (opening April 2016)
- Many golfing opportunities including 2 Robert Trent Jones Trail courses

What makes this property unique

Our property sits on 2 beautiful acres with great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Tall Tales sleeps up to 10 guests!

There are 4 different driveways making it very easy to enter, exit and move around if you have a boat or trailer. Every cabin has covered parking for at least 2 boats/vehicles with power to charge you batteries and there's no need to unhook. We have plenty of additional parking with power available at every cabin as well.

You will not find cleaner lodging anywhere at the lake as Edna and David take care of everything at the property personally. We live in Guntersville and are always available should you need anything at all!
